I don't think you could have 2 teams face each other, that have had such different seasons. The Bruins are on fire are going for their 5th win in a row, while Tampa Bay hasn't won a game in their last 7 (0-5-2). Tonight they face off for the 2nd time and under a week, and Tampa has to just want to get this game over with, because there isn't much hope for them to win.
The Bruins have been led by Kessel, who is tearing up the NHL with a league leading 11 straight games with a point (ONLY 21 YEARS OLD!). He has also had a goal in each of his last 5 games. Even with all the injuries the Bruins have had this year, they always find a way to pull out a win.
The same can't be said for Tampa, as they fired their head coach early in the season, and have only gone 1-5-4 under new coach Rick Tocchet. The only way the Lightning will win this game is if Mike Smith (their goalie) has an incredible game. In 2 games vs the Bruins he is 1-1 with a 1.51 goals against average. I don't see him stopping the offensive power of the Bruins, from players like Savard, Krejci, and of course Kessel.
Game is at 7pm on NESN.
**UPDATE** Neither Aaron Ward nor Marco Sturm will play tonight. Tim Thomas will most likely be in net.
