Celtics Sting the Hornets

Celtics 94 - Hornets 82

First of all it was good to see Posey get his ring. Hes the enemy, but for a brief moment Boston remembered how much this guy meant to the championship run.

Doc was interviewed after the 3rd quarter i believe and he was not shy about saying this was an ugly game, on both sides. There were mistakes being made all night, it basically came down to who made the fewest. The Celtics live and die by their defense, and so far this season they have been living well. Its important to note that the hornets were without Tyson Chandler who showed up that morning with a sore shoulder. So it turns out that the remaining hornets just arent ready to play with the leagues elite.
Leading the way for the Celtics was Paul Pierce. He had a clutch game again dropping 28 pts. KG had another double double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. I think i was most impressed however with the play of Perkins. He was playin with alot of heart last night and was getting some tough rebounds and showing off a soft touch he had 9 points and a season high 13 rebounds.

The celtics and Rajon Rondo held Chris Paul in check for most of the game keeping him shooting 5-16 all night. Those combined with his 10 free throws led him to 20 points at the end of the night.

The Celtics did what they had to do to win last night and it looked like it was going to be a tight one all the way through. Their defense makes teams readjust in the middle of set plays and forces mistakes. Defense wins championships, not not james poseys.
