DC NFL Power Ranks Week 14

1. New York Giants (11-1)
-Easy to acknowledge the G-Men are the best team in the NFL thus far. We will see how the Plaxico drama affects them going forward.

2. Tennessee Titans (11-1)
-The Titans have been very consistent and although they are 11-1, I'm not a firm believer they are Super Bowl bound.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3)
-Although 9-3, it could be argued the Steelers and their #1 ranked defense are the #2 team in the NFL.

4. New York Jets (8-4)
-Rough loss this week the sporadic Broncos but the Jets have a great run defense, Revis is a top NFL CB this season and Favre always give them opportunities for instant offense.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-3)
-Considered underrated and I would agree. I want to see how Carnel Williams coming back fills the role Earnest Graham played well this season.

6. Carolina Panthers (9-3)
-Playing very well right now. Showdown with TB this coming week.

7. Indianapolis Colts (8-4)
-Peyton Manning always finds a way to win...and Marvin Harrison hasn't played a role in it.

8. Baltimore Ravens (8-4)
-Great defense and the rookie Flacco is giving them offense they have been missing for so long. Can they go deep in the playoffs though?

9. Atlanta Falcons (8-4)
-Matt Ryan is definitely a top rookie of the year contender and his Falcons are rolling.

10. Dallas Cowboys (8-4)
-With Tony Romo out the Cowboys were awful. Romo has been back a couple weeks and the Cowboys are rejuvenated. Thier season could be a loss away from missing the playoffs though.

11. New England Patriots (7-5)
-The Pats offense has picked-up where it left off last season but the defense is not exactly stellar. Randy Moss can't drop those balls...no homo.

12. Washington Redskins (7-5)
-Began the season looking like a top contender. With a big loss to the Giants last week, the Redskins have to fight for a playoff spot.

13. Minnesota Vikings (7-5)
-The Williams' are suspended as of yesterday. This is HUGE for the Vikings but I'm not going to bump them down on my power rankings just yet because Pat Williams may try and sue the NFL and continue playing amidst the suspension.

14. Arizona Cardinals (7-5)
-Kurt Warner may be a clear cut MVP and with a Cardinals win last week would have clinched the division. Too bad the Lions WR picks never panned out like Boldin and Fitz'.

15. Denver Broncos (7-5)
-Who knows? One week they will lose to KC and another week they will blowout the Jets. If they play like they did against NYJ, they are a threat to any team they play.

16. Miami Dolphins (7-5)
-In the playoff mix this year but I am more excited to see how they contend next season.

17. New Orleans Saints (6-6)
-Reggie Bush is back and now Deuce is out. Lance Moore is replacing Colston as a prime target and Brees is an MVP candidate. Only issue, the Saints are 6-6.

18. Buffalo Bills (6-6)
-What happen?

19 Green Bay Packers (5-7)
-The running game has picked up and I still think the Packers are a solid team each week. They're record doesn't show it.

20. Philadelphia Eagles (6-5-1)
-It will be argued that the Eagles could be higher on this list because of their weapons but I don't put a "team" up on a list when their "top" QB gets benched and they don't use Westbrook how they used to.

21. Chicago Bears (6-6)
-The Bears are just too mediocre. Orten and Forte having great seasons isn't enough, they need a top WR.

22. San Diego Chargers (4-8)
- A sad story this season. Can Santa bring them back Merriman for Christmas? Side-note: Darren Sproles rocks.

23. Houston Texans (5-7)
-One day, one day the Texans will be great and I think everyone will be a fan.

24. San Francisco 49ers (4-8)
-Can't think of anything to say.

25. Jacksonville Jaguars (4-8)
-People actually picked the Jags as a Super Bowl contender pre-season?

26. Cleveland Browns (4-8)
-Both QB's down and out. Fuck it, let Baylon Edwards QB.

27. Kansas City Chiefs (2-10)
-Tony Gonzo really really wishes he got traded, he is having an amazing season.

28. Oakland Raiders (3-9)
-Al Davis needs to die already. I think Dueling Couches should run the Raiders in 2009.

29. Seattle Seahawks (2-10)
-Every Seahawk this season...a fantasy bust.

30. Cincinnati Bengals (1-10-1)
-DC should run the Bengals in 2009 if the Raiders doesn't work out.

31. St. Louis Rams (2-10)
-Oh boy, some rebuilding to do.

32. Detroit Lions (0-12)
-Time to move, change your image, sell the team, let DC run the team, stop drafting WRs or just think about it.
