I have no idea why I'm writing this, but, I wanted to see what the reaction was after I listen my top 3 most dominate athletes (AT THEIR SPORT) of all time. These 3 individuals have set precedent that may never be reached again.
Number 3. Mike Tyson
Say what you want about the man. He may be an asshole, a wife beater, an ear biter, but if you've ever watched him in his prime, and you understand boxing you'll know greatness when you see it. I was watching a fight of his on ESPN classics the other day. He beat this guy with in inches of his life. The man is insane. A dominate boxer, who in his prime, against anyone else in their prime, would knock them the fuck out. If you don't believe me, youtube some Tyson fights from back in the day. Guys crazy.
Number 2. Michael Jordan
I know what your thinking, how the hell is he not number 1. We'll get to that in a minute. Lets stay positive. LeBron James has a very large mountain to climb if he wants to reach this level. And personally, I don't think he can. Jordan has come closer than any man ever, to flying. He could shoot, dunk, pass everything. But why Jordan was so great, and we may never see a player like this ever again. He made everyone around him better. A bunch of average Jo's, being great because they were playing with Jordan. Jordan wasn't as selfish as the stars of today. He didn't have to be. Fact " Jordan was cut from his high school team as a freshmen" Well coach how do you feel now?
Number 1. Tiger Woods
I know I know I know. Golf? Really? Go ahead. Hate all you want. For those of you who have never picked up a club and actually tried to play, you'll never understand. Golf is by far the hardest, game or sport, to be good at. Being an athlete wont really help you. Swinging the club as hard as you can will only make you worse. For those of you who have played golf, for real, no how fucking hard, and how fucking frustrating golf really is. There is so much to the game. Natural ability does not exists for this game. I suck a Wii golf the sport so hard. I have this saying, "everyone in the world sucks at golf except Tiger Woods." And it's true. The gap between a guy like Michael Jordan and the rest of the world is minuscule compare to the gap between Tiger Woods and the rest of the world. This guy won the USA open with a torn ACL. Do you know how fucking good you have to be to do that. Anyone ever heard of "The Tiger Climb?" Thats when on the last day of the tournament Tiger is 7 strokes back, and the leader, every time he gets to a green he sees Tiger Climbing up the board, one stroke at a time. By 4 or 5 holes the leader falls apart and bogeys 2 in a row. Great players in all sports do great things in clutch moments. Best tiger moment ever and why he is my number 1 is this. I would say in 1999 I think it was. Players championship at Disney (which I've played at) Tiger made this ridiculous come back, on on the 17 green (island green) he could putt for the win. the triple break putt. I've never seen anything like it in my life. He walks around this fucking green for 20 goddamn minutes. I'm thinking what the fuck is he looking at? Just get it close and lets go to a playoff. I won't even describe it for you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQAa7cF_iXE see for yourselves
