Bruins vs. Senators Preview

The Bruins (29-7-4) are looking to avoid their first three game losing streak since October. Luckily they have a good shot at doing so, as they face the struggling Ottawa Senators (13-19-6). Ottawa is now in last place in the Northeast division, while the Bruins have been sitting on the top of the division for some time now.

The Bruins offense has been the problem lately, and you have to wonder if the injuries to Bergeron and Sturm are finally taking their toll. Kessel really needs to get it going, as he as only 3 goals and 0 assists in the 7 games since his 18 game point streak. Not a long stretch by any means, but he needs to step up if the Bruins are to right the ship tonight.

Ottawa has scored an NHL low 88 goals this season, and are just a mess. They are also 4-13-3 on the road this season. I am not worried about the Bruins, but losing this game would be inexcusable.

Game is at 7pm on NESN.
