"Boston GM Peter Chiarelli said tonight that third-year forward Phil Kessel, diagnosed this afternoon with mononculeosis, could be out of the lineup for approximately a month (Boston Globe)."
Fuck, I really wanted to see a Bruin score 50 goals, but that isn't going to happen now. In the big picture this isn't that big of a deal, but it sucks that he won't play tonight against the Canadiens. Kessel has been my favorite player on this team all year, but now he will miss about 13 games. The good news is that the Bruins have played so well up to this point that they don't really need to worry about making the playoffs. Get better fast Kessel, you guys have work to do in the playoffs.
