Free-agent pitcher Derek Lowe has received a four-year, contract offer worth about $60 million from the Braves, and indications are that he's leaning strongly toward signing with Atlanta, a baseball source told ESPN.com.
Boy, a 14-11 record will get you a lot of money now a days. Derek Lowe is said to be close to signing with the Braves but I will refuse to believe it until I see him in a Braves uniform. The Braves have got screwed over by pretty much every free agent. I believe Lowe will do a lot better in the NL than the AL, but will be a bust for the Braves after 2 years..
