Is it me, or am I the only one not scared when the Celtics are down by a couple with time running out?
The Celtics were down by three with 35 second left on the clock when Paul Pierce tried driving to the right side- seeing the help collapse, he hit Ray Allen on the wing for the tying 3. With the game tied at 97, Andre Iguadala hit a fadeaway jumper with 6.8 seconds left to put Philly up two. Then Pierce found Allen in his favorite spot- baseline 3 to go up 1 with .5 seconds left. It was fun Philly, but you don't leave any member of the defending champs open with time running out when they have an 11 game win streak on the line.
Boston won with Kevin Garnett home with the flu for the second straight game. No problem. The Big 2 are still better than a majority of teams starting 5. In Garnetts absence Big Baby had a hell of a game with 12 points and 11 boards, including a couple of huge offensive rebounds. Rondo also had a spectacular game shooting as he went 9-12 (mostly lay-ups) but still, the boy can play. The next game will now be against the Lakers, which will surely have way too much hype, but KG will be back so it's all gravy.
One final note, why is everyone doing the Sam Cassell big balls celebration after big shots? Iguodala did it last night.
And another thing:
