Actually kind of important games for the Bruins tonight as they try to avoid a 5 game losing streak. Boston really needs to get their act together, and score some goals. In the last 3 games the Bruins have only scored 4 goals. A main contributor to that is the fact that Kessel has not scored a goal in 12 straight games. Earlier in the year he was on pace to score 50 goals, but since coming back from mono he has just not been able to put the puck in the net. The good news is they have fared very well against Carolina this season (3-0).
Carolina is fight for a playoff spot, and will be going all out tonight. They know the Bruins are struggling right now, and will try to take advantage. They may even have a little extra incentive as Glen Wesley's number will be retired tonight (he was a former Bruin). I always fucking hated him, so I hope the Bruins kill the Hurricanes tonight.
Game is at 7pm on NESN. Tim Thomas is expected to be in net.
