"Looking for silver linings, Doc Rivers was asked if he’s interested to see how his team continues to perform without flu-ridden Kevin Garnett. “Not really,” Rivers said. “I’m not that curious to see.” The Celtics coach will have no choice. Garnett will get chicken soup at home instead of the 76ers in Philadelphia tonight (Boston Herald)."
The Celtics will have to play without KG again, and it looks like Tony Allen will also not be able to play (thank God!), since he also has the flu. There is no reason to rush KG back, but the Celtics are going to have a tough time against the 76ers tonight. Philly has won 7 of their last 10 games, and usually play the Celtics tough. Still, the Celtics are a much better team even without KG. The bench will have to step it up, but Big Baby and Co. should be able to rise to the occasion.
**UPDATE** Tony Allen will play tonight, so I take back my thank you to God.
