Red Sox @ A's Preview

Well Boston...it's been shitty. The Sox aren't hitting, and their starting pitching has sucked. They need some positives, and so who do we turn to????....The Wake.

Wakefield will be on the hill today for the Sox. Good news is no V-Tek today! Other then that not much to say. Boston is off to their worst start since 1996 when they started 2-12. Still, I think the Sox have too much pitching to be held down for to be this bad for too long.

The Sox will go against another young lefty in Brett Anderson. This kid is going to be a stud, but he is young, and Boston needs to take advantage of the mistakes he will make. Anderson got roughed up in his first start going 6 innings allowing 5 runs on 7 hits, but we have to remember that was his first start in the MLB, so it wasn't too bad.

The scary thing for the Sox is that players like Cabrera, and Holliday are getting hot, and that makes this A's lineup look a lot more dangerous. All we can do is hope that Wake has one of his good days, or this could be another very long game...

First pitch is at 3:35pm on NESN.
