Ellsbury:
"Tests revealed no structural damage in Red Sox centerfielder Jacoby Ellsbury right shoulder, and his official status is day-to-day with an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, according to a Red Sox spokesperson. The decision if he will play tomorrow in the series opener against the New York Yankees will not be made until tomorrow (Boston.com)."
No real big news here. It is good they didn't find anything, but after reading Francona's comments yesterday he was really just taken out of the game for precautionary reasons. I do not expect Ellsbury to miss more then a game, and he might not even do that.
Ortiz:
Well Ortiz's stupid eye test came back fine. Big shock there, they gave him eye drops from his dry eyes. Yea....that should solve his under .200 batting average. Anyways, he actually has shown some signs of improvement and is riding a 6 game hitting streak...
