Brady To Play On Thursday

I you can remember back to last season Brady basically didn't play in the preseason, but this year looks like it will be different...

Are you ready to go on Thursday night?
“I’m ready. I think everybody is ready. We’ve had a good camp. I think guys have really been working hard, trying to do what Coach Belichick has asked. It will be nice for us to get out there and play the Eagles. They really gave it to us last year, so hopefully we perform better.”

Is Bill Belichick ready for you to play Thursday?
“I hope so. We haven’t talked about it, but he told the guys ‘everybody needs to be ready to play.’ So I’m expecting to play. There is no reason why I wouldn’t. I’ve been out here doing everything. It will be nice to get out there and play some football (Boston.com).”

I think it is very important for Brady to get a good amount of work in during these games. He is going to need to get comfortable with the protection from his offensive line, and with the rest of the offense. He is also going to need to gain confidence in his knee, and learn what he can and can't do on the field. Everything so far sounds great from the Patriots camp, but we all know how fast that can change during a real game.
