According To WEEI Jason Varitek has exercised his $3 million player option for the 2010 season. I want Varitek off the team as much as everyone else, but this actually isn't that bad. V-Mart will get most of the starts, and Tek can be a very solid backup for him, since catchers usually need a good amount of games off. It is going to be really funny watching the "captain" ride the pine...
