Blue Jays @ Red Sox Preview

Tonight we get to see one of my favorite pitchers go against John Lackey. Morrow started the year rocky, but over his last 4 starts he has started to show the promise that made him such a great prospect for the Mariners, posting a 2.96 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 24 1-3 innings. Still, I think he is going to have a very hard time against the Red Sox tonight.

Boston doesn't have a lot of hitting, but one thing they do have is patience, and that could lead to the downfall of Morrow tonight as he has a tendency to let up a lot of walks (5.4 walks per nine innings). So, Boston needs to sit back and let Morrow make mistakes, which I think they will.

Lackey is coming off his best start of the season, two hits and one run in seven innings of a 3-1 win on Wednesday against his former team (Angels). He should be solid, and there are really only a couple guys in the Jays lineup that scare me (Wells, Lind, and Hill).

Boston need to start racking up some win, and I think they get it done tonight...
