Burger King In Trouble Again

Burger King loves to be creeps, but they aren't in trouble for that. This time they are in trouble for their new "Crazy King" ad...

"The king is "crazy" and "insane," the medical types explain, because he wants to give away his sandwich for the low, low price of $3.99!

"I was stunned. Absolutely stunned and appalled," said Michael Fitzpatrick, executive director for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), one of the nation's largest mental-health advocacy organizations.

He called the ad "blatantly offensive" and hopelessly retrograde in its depiction of mental illness, adding that the commercial could lead to further stigmatization, the primary barrier for individuals to seek out treatment (Seattle Times)."

Seriously? Do we really need to think of the feelings of crazy people? Can you really be offended by this? Fucking stupid, and I hope Burger King doesn't listen to this shit. If you are fucking insane I very highly doubt that you sit near a TV and be like "Hey the King threw a chair through a window, damnit he is making fun of me...ahhhhhhh!"

People need to stop being so damn sensitive.

The Good: Burger King actually listens to what you order.
The Bad: Listen no one is very proud of themselves when they are eating fast food. The last thing people want to see is their ever growing fat face on the 5,000 calorie burger they ordered.

Burger King Oral Sex Ad?

HAHA, this story is fantastic...

The print ad for the "BK Super Seven Incher" — a limited time promotion in Singapore, a society known around the world for its strict government controls of social conduct — shows the "mind-blowing" sandwich near the open mouth of a wide-eyed, red-lipsticked woman accompanied by the suggestive tagline: "It'll blow your mind away." "Fill your desire for something long, juicy and flame-grilled," the ad continues.
Mark Duffy, a blogger and an advertising copyrighter at a major New York City firm, said the advertisement is among the "worst" he's ever seen in more than 17 years of industry experience.

"I've seen a lot of sexual innuendo ads and this is about the worst, especially for something as mainstream as Burger King," Duffy told FOXNews.com. "I was a little repulsed by it. It's really misogynistic to women and it's also unappetizing (FoxNews)."


Burger King is fucking hilarious. Their ads are creepy and for the most part don't make sense. Now they are being kinda creepy again, and I just hope they don't back down. Commercials in general usually suck, but at least Burger King keeps you on your toes...

Burger King Hates Mexicans

"An advertisement for a new burger has caused offense after Mexicans claimed it insulted them and their national cuisine. Burger Kingdescribes its Texican Whopper in a Spanish ad as "inspired by the land where a man 'aint afraid to sink his teeth into something hot and spicy." It contains a flame-grilled Whopper topped with taco-coated chilli con carne, spicy jalapenos, onion, lettuce and Cajun mayonnaise. But the fast food giant has offended Mexicans with its "stereotypical" advertising campaign for the burger. The television ad aired in Spain, described the Texican as "the taste of Texas with a little spicy Mexican." It depicted a tall Texan cowboy living with a vertically challenged Mexican wrestler. Mexico's ambassador to Spain slammed the ad in a letter to Burger King and said it "improperly used the stereotypical image of Mexicans (FoxNews)."

Funniest thing I have read all day. First off Mexico sucks, and their country is so fucking out of control that the drug dealers have larger armies then the government. Second, honestly I don't see anything wrong with this ad. How could they be so pissed about this, but never go after Taco Bell? I mean you want racist...I think Taco Bell would be my target. Anyways, Burger King cracks me up, and I love that all their commercials are really creepy. Don't change Burger King, no one cares about Mexico.

Burger King Body Spay

I don't even know where to start with this story...

"Burger King is hoping to be known as more than “The Home of the Whopper.” This weekend, the fast food chain rolled out “Flame,” a new men’s body spray billed as “the scent of seduction with a hint of flame-broiled meat.” And an informal survey by the Boston Herald found that there are men out there who’d wear it - even one who seemed to be named after a meat (Boston Herald)."

Burger King has really come to love the whole "creepiness" ads. It started with the King being in your bed, to him running from the cops putting money in your pocket. Now, they have come out with a body spray that will make you smell like meat. Wow. Anyways, I find this hilarious, and I respect Burger King so much for just being creepy and wierd.
