103 Celtics, 99 Rockets

Tonight the Celtics started just like I thought they would. Rondo pushed the ball hard and Ray Allen had a hell of a night. However, early foul trouble sent Rondo to the bench for a majority of the game and the Rockets climbed back into it. Ron Artest still is the scariest player in the NBA for me(15 points, 7 rebounds and great defense) when T-Mac and Yao weren't producing he kept the team together. The funny thing about this game was when the stars were on the bench the role players stepped up huge for both teams, pretty boy Luis Scola had a hell of game with 21 points and Aaron Brooks was very impressive for the Rockets as he was lightning quick and contributed 12 points off the bench. For a majority of the game T-Mac, Yao, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett were held in check. Yao Ming was unimpressive as usual when he plays Boston only scoring 8 points.

Bostons whole starting lineup was in double digits Rondo had 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists, KG had 14 points and 10 rebounds, Pierce had 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists, Perk had 15 and 7 and red hot Ray Allen had 29, 5 and 5. Although when it came down to it Ray Allen stepped up big, he didn't miss and had the best game of the early season. Tony Allen and his usual terrible fouls at terrible times fouled T-Mac while he was shooting a three pointer, luckily T-Mac only hit 2 out of 3 and gave the Celtics a chance to make the lead into double digits. The end of the game was nerve racking but the game the good guys prevailed.

Now that I am sober, I will do a good Celtics vs Rockets recap. The Celtics played O.K. basketball without Ray Allen and still beat the Rockets who were on a 22 game win streak.

The game was going at a slow pace at the beginning and the score was actually tied at 40 at halftime. Everyone struggled this game except for Pierce (20), KG (22) and Hard Work Leon Powe (21). Tony Allen and Paul Pierce shut down Tracy McGrady to 8 points on 4-11 shooting. Before the game, Rajon Rondo and Rafer Alston had to be separated, I don't know what that was about but I'm sure Rajon whooped his ass after the game. Anyways, the Celtics shut up their critics once again and hopefully will get some respect now. They 12-1 in the past 13 games and look to carry the momentum going into Dallas.

Celtics at Houston Preview

Well, The Celtics are right back at it tonight after one of the best games of the season, a 22 point comeback win against the defending champion Spurs on the road. It doesn't get any easier for them, as they take on the Rockets, who have an amazing 22 game winning streak, the 2nd longest streak of all time behind the Lakers of the early 70s. To make the streak even more impressive, they are doing it without Yao, who is out for the season. The Celtics again are probably without Ray Allen, still nursing a foot injury as they prepare to end the streak. Sorry guys, I love the Celtics, but I don't see them winning tonight. Without Allen, plus the fact they had a tough game last night while Houston rested, is just going to be too tough to over come. Boston will hang tough, but will fade down the stretch.
