J-E-T-S, Don't suck as bad?

Even though the Jets got rid of Jonathan Vilma and Dewayne Robertson. The Jets have made a ton of moves this off-season to strengthen their team up.

Alan Faneca

Alan was a long time Steeler and the rock of their offensive line. He was the best guard of free agency and only being 31 he has at least 4 to 5 more good years in front of him. Him teamed up with D'Brickashaw Ferguson and Damien Woody(who they are about to sign) makes their O-line maybe the best in the AFC east.

Damien Woody

A former patriot, a former Lion and a former Pro-Bowler. Taking that offensive tackle spot next to Faneca will make that left side tough to penetrate.

Calvin Pace

Pace was on "pace" to be a first round bust. However, when the Cardinals switched over to a 3-4 defense the hybrid DE/LB thrived and finished the season with 98 tackles and 6 sacks. This earned him a monster 6 years contract with the Jets and is going to help alleviate the loses of Vilma and Robertson.

Kris Jenkins

The Jets made a trade for Kris Jenkins for undisclosed draft picks. Another good move for this Jets defense and especially for their 3-4 style. Who doesn't need a 335 pound tackle in the middle of their D-Line?

The Jets are also after Eugene Wilson formally of the Patriots, among other big free agent names.

Also with the 6th pick in the draft it would not surprise me to see see Mcfadden in green and white.
I'm not saying the Jets will finish in 1st in the AFC East, But they have improved their team a ton this free agency.

Vilma Goes To Saints

The Jets Traded Jonathan Vilma in a deal which sends him to the New Orleans Saints for a 2009 conditional 4th round pick. If Vilma can be healthy and recover from his knee surgery, he will be an excellent addition for this Saints defense. He will thrive in a 4-3 defense like he did with the U, and add a new play-maker for this team whose defense is less than par.
