Man there are a lot of geeks out there and they all have a shitload more money they I do. Out of all of them the 12 can of Dharma beer for $5,000 is just unacceptable (also Hurley's van for almost $50,000. Anyways, there is an extra 10 minutes of LOST footage out there that will be released with the DVDs. I have seen it, and it does answer some questions like what happened to Walt, why were their polar bears, what happened to Dharma when Hurley took over, and a couple other small things.

Anyways, there wasn't much to write about today, but incase you were wondering I am not obsessed with "Dexter" on Showtime.

Final Scene Of LOST

I swear this will be my last LOST post ever, but I had to clear something up for everyone. This will be a spoiler, so if you have been living under a rock please don't read any further.

A lot of people have made a big deal of the ending scene from LOST (the pic above). People seem to think that this was the writers way of telling everyone that they died in the original crash even though Jack's dad blatantly said that everything on the island that happened was real. Anyways, this disproves that theory...

So, raise your hand if you’ve spent the past three days obsessing over what was purgatory, what was real-life, for the past six years on Lost. No doubt, for many of you, a big part of your understanding has included an interpretation of the series’ final scenes of plane wreckage strewn across an empty beach, nothing but the white noise of crashing waves cutting through the deadly silence. Well, turns out ABC just threw those final scenes in there as a “visual aid,” and they didn’t actually have anything to do with the show’s plot. ABC told the LA Times that the network – and not executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse — added those shots of the beach simply to soften the transition from the emotional ending of the series finale to the 11 p.m. news and didn’t realize that viewers who had been obsessing over every detail of every scene of every episode might have considered the series’ final images as having some meaning. “”The images shown during the end credits of the Lost finale, which included shots of Oceanic 815 on a deserted beach, were not part of the final story but were a visual aid to allow the viewer to decompress before heading into the news,” an ABC spokesperson told the Times.

I am just glad they cleared that up, because I really would've hated if everything over the last 6 season (on the island) was just them in purgatory or something like that.

LOST Recap: "The End"

Wow, 6 years 115 episodes, and it is finally over. Whether you liked the finale or not you have to agree this is the most interesting show of all time. To be honest I have no idea how I am going to write about all this, but I'll do my best. I was going to break it up between on and off island again, but that doesn't seem fitting for this one, so this is just going to be all together.

The show opens with cut scenes of our main characters while Christians Shepard's coffin being unloaded from a plane. The coffin is dropped off by some hippy guy with a pony tail, and Desmond is there to pick it up. Kate is with Desmond, and she asks him why he has taken her, and why is she here.

"No one can tell you why you're here, Kate. Certainly not me."

Oh Desmond is your creepy ways. I had no idea what that meant until the end, but it certainly makes sense now.

We cut back to the island where Jack is still chilling by the water where Jacob turned him into the new protector of the island. Jack explains to Kate, Hurley, and Sawyer that he must protect the light. Sawyer obviously has no fucking idea what is going on...

Jack: "Jacob didn't say anything to me about Desmond."
Sawyer: "Doesn't sound like he said anything about anything."
Hurley: "That's kinda true, dude. He's worse than Yoda."

Hahaha, got to love Star Wars references. Anyways, we got back off island where Hurley and Sayid are going to a hotel to find Charlie. Sayid still has not been awakened, and Hurley does everything he can to get him going. They are at the same hotel where Locke used to meet up with his dad, which ended up with Locke losing his wife.

Hurley gets to the room where Charlie is, and even though Charlie has no idea who Hurley is it is an emotional scene. Charlie's death on the island really hit Hurley hard, and you could watch it melt away when he saw him. Charlie refuses to go with him, so Hurley shoots him with a tranquilizer dart and loads him in the back of the fan. Pretty funny to see Hurley doing that instead of Sayid.

The show takes us back to the island where Kate is asking Jack why he accepted the responsibility from Jacob. As he explained to her that the island was all that he had left, and the only that he hadn't managed to ruin.

Sawyer decides to go spy on Flocke, which doesn't last long as he was hiding behind a very small shrub. Sawyer reveals to Flocke that they were no longer candidates, which implies that a new protector had been chosen to replace Jacob. Kind of an odd scene, because Flocke should've just kill him since he was expendable, but whatever.

During Sawyer's and Flocke's back and forth it is revealed that Flocke just wants to destroy the island. This obviously doesn't sit well with Ben, since Flocke promised him on the island if he helped him.

We then finally learn who let Desmond out of the well. Flocke sees dog tracks, which leads him to Bernard and Rose's camp. They broke their rule by getting involved with Desmond. They tell him he must go once he eats, but before he can Flocke shows up. Flocke tells Desmond that if he doesn't come with him he will kill Bernard and Rose right in front of him and will "make it hurt". Desmond obviously goes with Flocke, and Bernard and Rose are once again out of the story. Great beard though, Bernard...well done.

On the outskirts of the Dharma barracks, Miles reported to Ben (via walkie) that he had found Richard alive. When we last saw Richard, he was being thrown into the jungle by the Smoke Monster, and when we last saw Miles, he was reportedly running through the jungle to get away from Flocke (smartest guy on the show).

We then travel back off-island where Sun is recovering from her gunshot wound. A doctor comes into the room and it is none other then Juliet. She goes through the whole ultrasound thing, and Jin and Sun suddenly become aware. With this "awareness" they also remember English, so that's always good.

Back on the island Sawyer has gotten away from Flocke, and he meets back up with Jack and his gang. Jack says it doesn't matter if Flocke has Desmond...

Jack: "It doesn't matter if we find Desmond or he does, James. We're going to the same place."
Sawyer: "Then what?"
Jack "Then it ends."

This feel important if you remember back to the conversation MIB and Jacob has back on the beach, "it only ends once", so this must be it.

We cut back to Jack and Locke off island in the hospital, as Locke gets ready for surgery. Basically Jack is very confident that it will work, and so on.

As we make out way back to the island we see Richard grabbing a boat with Miles to get to the plane. Miles suddenly stops and pulls out a gray hair from Richard's head. I guess living forever ends when Jacob dies. They grab the boat, and suddenly they hear someone yelling in the water. It's Frank, and honestly WTF? How is he alive...still not very happy about that.

Team Flocke and Team Jack finally meet up. Kate snaps grabs a gun and unloads on Flocke, which does nothing. Way to go Kate, you're the worst. Flocke just walks past her, and tells her to save her bullets. Then, Jack and Flocke came face-to-face in their inevitable standoff, and after Flocke declared that Jack was "the obvious choice", they have this little conversation...

Jack: "You think you're gonna destroy the Island."
Flocke: "I think?"
Jack: "But that's not what's gonna happen."
Flocke: "Well, what's gonna happen, Jack?
Jack: "I'm going to kill you."
Flocke: "How do you plan to do that?"
Jack: "That's a surprise."
Flocke: "OK, let's get on with it."

Fucking awesome...that's all I can say about that.

Off the island we find out that Jack and Juliet used to be married. I really wasn't shocked by this, but it was just another amazing way they writers tied in everything.

Back on the island Team Jack and Team Flocke make their way to the cave of light. Eventually they have everyone stay behind except Flocke, Desmond, and Jack. Right before they lower Desmond into the Cave, Jack and Desmond have this little back and forth...

"This doesn't matter, you know? Him destroying the Island, you destroying him. It doesn't matter. You're going to lower me into that light, and I'm going to go somewhere else. A place where we can be with the ones that we love. And not ever have to think about this damn Island again. And you know the best part, Jack? You're in this place."

Jack responds with: "There are no do-overs. What happened, happened. All of this matters."

As they lower Desmond down Flocke says something to the affect of "remind you of anything", which is obviously a refense to when they found the hatch. Jack gets instantly pissed turn to him and says "You're not John Locke. You disrespect his memory by wearing his face, but you're nothing like him. Turns out he was right about most everything. I just wish I could have told him that while he was still alive."

Flocke says that he is wrong and that this is all for nothing. Once Desmond is at the bottom of the cave, he sees skeletons, and a pool with channels heading outward. As he enters the pool to pull 'the cork', we see his unique resistance to electromagnetism in full effect as he fights off the effects. As the light goes out and the cave goes dark, the Island rumbles, Flocke proudly proclaims his victory to Jack, "It looks like you were wrong."

But as Flocke leaves the cave, he is attacked from behind by Jack, and as we see Flocke realize that he is bleeding (awesome scene), Jack throws his words right back in his face, "Looks like you were wrong too." Clearly Jack's plan was to let Desmond extinguish the light since that would be the only way to physically kill Flocke. This seems like a great plan until Flocke grabs a rock and knocks out Jack.

We cut to Team Lapidus who run into crazy Claire. As they were communicating with Kate via the walkie. Kate listened through the walkie as shots were fired into the sand on the beach, presumably killing her allies, just as Jack listened on the walkie as shots were fired on the beach in the same situation in Through The Looking Glass.

We cut now back off island where everyone is ending up at this concert. Drive Shaft is playing, Claire, Desmond, Kate, are all sitting at the same table. As the concert start Charlie sees Claire, and he is now "aware". Suddenly Claire start to have her baby. Kate ends up having to deliver it, and now they are all "aware".

Side not: How good did Kate look in that little black dress. Best in awhile for her.

Back to the island where Jack finds Flocke making his way to the boat, which is near the cliffs. The final battle begins with Jack doing a flying punch. You have to admitt you laughed a little bit. Flocke ends up getting the upper hand and stabs Jack. He is going for the kill with a good throat stab (why Jack was bleeding off island), but Kate saves the day, because she actually didn't use all her bullets (bet Flocke wished he kept his mouth shut). Jack then kicks Flocke off the side of the cliff, just as Flocke kicked Jacob into the fire. Flocke is finally dead.

Back off island Locke is waking up from surgery, and he wiggles his toes. This makes him "aware", since it is just like when they crashed. Sawyer was in the hospital as well, and after being told by Jin and Sun that they would "see him there", he ran into Juliet at the vending machine. She does talk about getting coffee and what not, so this must have been what she saw in the first episode from this season. They both now are "aware".

Back on the island, things still aren't going well. The island is going under water, and Jack decides he must go and fix what Desmond did. He knows he won't live, but he doesn't care. Hurley and Ben go with them as Kate and Sawyer head for the plane. Kate pleads with him to leave it and let the Island destroy itself, but he insists he has to finish it. As he convinces her to leave on the plane and take Claire home to Aaron, she says to him "Tell me I'll see you again"...nothing but silence.

We are back at the end of the concert where Jack has just arrived. He meets up with Kate. Jack is confused and knows he knows her from somewhere. Kate says if he comes with her it will all make sense.

Back on the island Jack, Ben, and Hurley are back at the "cave of light". Jack makes Hurley the new Jacob, further proving Jack is not making it out of this episode, and he heads down the the caves. When he gets down there he sees Desmond. He wakes him up and gets him out of there. He then puts the stone back, and laughs creepily while the island goes back to normal.

During all this Kate convinces Claire to come with them. They get on the plane and take off.

Jack and Kate arrive at the church off-island. Kate goes inside, and Jack heads to his father's casket. When he touches it he becomes aware. He opens the casket, but there is no one in there. Then he turns are and there is his father. His father explains that they are all dead, but everything that happened on the island did actually happen. They just all wanted to meet up before they "let go" on their way to heaven. My theory is basically this was purgatory, and they were waiting for eachother.

Back to the island where Jack wakes up in the jungle. He stumbles for awhile before falling in a similar spot to where the opening scene of the pilot episode started. Before he dies he sees the plane overhead, and Vincent comes up next to him. The camera zooms up to his eye and it closes.


LOST.

I really liked the ending. There are things they never really explained, like why Walt was important. Who built the statue, ect, but I'm fine with that. I thought they did the best they could, and it is the best show of all-time.

LOST Recap: "What They Died For"

Can't believe there is only 1 episode left for LOST. Last night's episode was much better then the week's before, and overall I am happy with the way it is progressing. As always, I split this up between on and off island...

Off-Island:

The show opens with Jack waking up and heading to the bathroom. Once again there is an odd scene with a mirror, which has been going on all season. This time it is Jack bleeding from his neck, as he looks into the mirror, which is the same thing that happened in the first episode of the season (LA X).

Jack then leaves the bathroom and has breakfast with his son, and Claire. Jack is going to be heading to his son's concert that night, so it seems we might finally find out who David's mother is. The nice family moment is broken up as Jack gets a call from Oceanic saying that they finally found his father's casket. Yet, it isn't really Oceanic, but rather that sneaky Desmond playing tricks again.

Desmond is sitting in his car watching John Locke, mirroring the exact same scene that we saw when Desmond ran down our favorite wheelchair-bound substitute teacher. I really thought for a second he was going to do it again, but Ben steps in at the last second, and stops Desmond. Ben confronts Desmond, but it ends poorly for him as Desmond kicks the shit out of him. This gives Ben a flash to the flash sideways life (when Desmond beat him up at the docks), and now he is starting to understand that there is something going on.

The show then cuts to Locke and Ben talking. Locke obviously worried since he got hit by a car, and now Ben got this shit kicked out of him. Ben explains to Locke that he "saw something", he also tells him that Desmond told him he needed to help Locke "Let go", which is what Jack told him at the hospital. John calls the LAPD, which leads us to a transitional scene at the police station as we see Miles getting ready to go to a concert with his father. Presumably, this would be the same concert where David is performing.

At the station, we see Desmond ask to see Sawyer (I'm not calling him Ford in the FS World), and then confess the hit-and-run on John Locke, and the beatdown on Dr. Linus. As he is taken to his holding cell, we see him walk in and flash that Desmond smile, as he sees Sayid, and Kate.

We then cut to Ben leaving school and he is stopped Alex, who demands that her mother give him a ride home. Danielle is obviously her mother, and she explains that he is the closest thing Alex has ever had to a father (just the like Island).

Locke enters Jack's office, and start going on and on about all the "coincidences" which have always led him back to Jack and the surgery to make him walk again. This is very similar to what was going on with the Island, and the whole having faith theme. Eventually Locke states that he wants to have the surgery done.

We go back to Desmond, Kate, and Sayid being transferred to another prison. Kate and Sawyer have a moment, and you could tell by Kate's face that she is starting to remember something. Anyways, they are loaded into the back of a armored car, and set off. Yet, tricky Desmond has a plan. The truck soon stops, and Ana Lucia pops out, and Hurley pulls up in his pimped out ride. Hurley, who knows everything now, hands Ana a bunch of money and they are off. Desmond makes Sayid, and Kate promise they will do something for him. We just don't know what yet, but we do know that Desmond and Kate are heading to the same concert Jack is heading too...



On-Island:

On the Island, we saw the aftermath of Kate's gunshot wound as Jack sewed her up on the beach, which is obviously the same as the pilot episode when Kate sews up Jack. Kate starts crying about Jin and Sun since their baby will be all alone. This leads to Kate and Jack agreeing that they have to kill Flocke.

Ben, Richard, and Miles are finally back and have reached the Other's little town. Miles starts acting weird Zoe, and can sense the dead body of Alex. We learned that after Ben left, Richard buried her there. This was basically to remind us that Widmore got her killed.

Inside the house, and inside Ben's secret room, we learned that the crazy drain contraption we saw last season, was indeed how the Smoke Monster was summoned. Or as Ben put it, "“That’s where I was told that I could summon the monster. That’s before I realized that it was the one summoning me.” Great line. They grab the explosives and are about to head out of the house when they run into Widmore and Zoe.

The last time we saw these two face-to-face, Ben was standing at the end of Charles' bed, and let's just say that didn't go so well. Widmore starts questioning what they are doing, and Richard tells him everything (don't think Ben liked that). Zoe runs off to get something from their boat.

We cut to Jack and Sawyer having a deep conversation about what happened on the sub. Sawyer knows he caused everything that happened, but Jack bails him out and says that it wasn't his fault is was Flocke's. Out of nowhere, Hurley sees Young Jacob, who insists on the ashes that Hurley has in his pocket (the ashes that Ilana took from the foot of the statue where Jacob burned). When Hurley is reluctant to hand them over, Young Jacob snatches them away and runs, and Hurley gives chase. Jacob then appears as himself to Hurley and has him bring his group to him.

Back to Zoe where things aren't goign well. As he gets near the boat she sees Flocke, and Widemore tells her to make her way back to the barracks. Miles decides that he doesn't want to stick around and hide, or stick around and face Flocke, so he decided to just run away, which is most likely what I would have done.

While Widmore and Zoe hide in the secret room, Richard and Ben decide to meet Flocke head on. We then hear the smoke monster and Richard is attacked, not sure if he is dead, but he definitely got fucked up. Flocke then appears to Ben, and he tells him he needs him to kill everyone else on the island then the island will be Ben's. Ben then gives up Widmore in a flash, telling Flocke where he was inside....payback's a bitch.

Flocke and Ben enter the house, Flocke says that Ben "doesn't want to see this", as he kills Widmore and Zoe, but Ben then replies that he wants to see it, which was kinda awesome. Flocke doesn't waste much time and cuts Zoe's throat (good she sucked), and then starts asking Widmore questions. Then, the bribe came, as Flocke promised not to kill Penny if Charles would spill everything to him. And as Charles gave up every piece of information except for one, Flocke motioned him closer so that he could whisper it in his ear. In an incredibly tense approach, Charles began to whisper the final point in an effort to protect Penny, and then Ben shoots him.

"He doesn't get to save his daughter."

The main piece of information that Charles gave up was Desmond's purpose, "because of his unique resistance to electro-magnetism." He then indicated that Desmond was there "as a measure of last resort", which was how the Fail Safe Key was referred to in the Hatch. You can see the recognition in Flocke's eyes when he hears it, as Locke would have known about it. So, while Desmond turned the Fail Safe Key in the Hatch, he now IS the Fail Safe Key.

Suddenly we are back with Jacob, Jack, Hurley, Kate, and Sawyer. Jacob explains what happened with Flock, and how he was responsible for creating "The Smoke Monster". He went on to say that they were all chosen because they were flawed, and alone in the real world, and that they needed the Island as much as the Island needed them. He also explained that the crossed-out names on the wall were 'just a line of chalk in a cave", and that Kate was still an eligible candidate, but he had excluded her since she became a mother, which I guess means that Jin was the other candidate, since Sun was also a mother.

Jacob then explains the Cave of Light, and how it had to be protected. Which leads to this dialog...

"I want you to have the one thing that I was never given. A choice."
"What if none of us chooses it?"
"Then this ends very badly."

Then Jack made the choice we all knew he would, he confidently volunteered to be the Island protector, and Jacob took him to the water, chanted as his mother did 2000 years ago, and gave him directions to the Cave. Now he would be able to find it near the bamboo field where he originally landed on the Island in the pilot episode.

Ben and Flocke have made their way to the well where Desmond was thrown in. When they get there they notice that Sayid did not kill him like he said, but rather let him go. What was odd was the rope, because Sayid said he left him in the well, so who could have let him out (we'll get back to that). Anyways, the show ends with Flocke basically telling us that he is going to use Desmond to destroy the Island.

Questions:
- Who let Desmond out of the well?
- How is the sideways world tied in? Does it matter is they all learn the connection?
- Why is Jack's neck bleeding in the sideways world?
- Who is David's mother?
- How will they stop Flocke?
- Is Ben bad again?

Theories:
- I hate to say it, but I bet Frank helped Desmond escape.
- I bet Ben is still good, and is going to play a major role in killing Flocke.

LOST Recap: Across The Sea

This LOST episode was a lot different from the rest, and just dealt with the history of the island. So, we will not be breaking this recap from on and off island. Overall I thought it was an OK episode, but overall was a lot slower then previous episodes, but I also believe this episode is necessary to end the show.

The show opens pregnant woman speaking Latin washes up on shore. She is found by Allison Janney, who helps her into a familiar set of caves. After telling her that they are alone on the Island, the woman (Claudia) starts giving birth. Her baby Jacob arrives, then there's a surprise: a twin brother! Jacob is wrapped in white cloth, and MIB in black...hahaha.

Claudina only came up with 1 name, so Flocke (MIB, Smokey, ect) remains nameless. The joyful moment doesn't last long as Allison turns to Claudina and bashes her head in with a rock. Yea, she's THAT crazy.

Time passes and Jacob and Nameless are little boys. Jacob is that blond haired child the smoke monster kept seeing in the woods. His brother finds a game and he starts setting it up. Jacob can't lie to save his life, and his Mother scolds him for it, but then she laughs with Nameless about what an honest little tool Jacob is. She clearly prefers the more ambitious and complicated of the two boys. One day they see men in the forest, and she tells them that men kill and maim and are generally destructive, something Nameless repeats someday as Smokey. She shows the boys a random hole in the middle of the Island with shining light coming out of it, and says they have to protect that.

Nameless is shocked by what he sees, but can't stop himself from asking questions. Like where is he from? Why can't they go into the light? Why do they have to protect it? and so on. Eventually Nameless sees the ghost of his mother and she takes him to a village of humans. Then she tells him everything and he is pissed at his "Mother." He asks Jacob to go with him, but Jacob's the good son even though mommy doesn't love him enough (sound like someone we know, Jack) and refuses to go.

Thirty years later, we see the Jacob and Nameless as we've seen before, and they play their game together and seem to like each other. Nameless is not impressed with humans, but he wants to use them to get off the Island. Eventually Jacob tattles to Mommy and she comes down to see that they've made a well, which leads to the light. Nameless's plan is to put a wheel into the light that will somehow let him off the Island.

Mother bashes Nameless' head into the wall after he hugs her all nicely. She quickly runs off to make Jacob the new guardian of the Island. To do this he must drink from the wine bottle that Jacob used to explain the Island in an earlier episode. Mother apparently knows that Nameless is going to kill her, so she sends Jacob to get firewood, and Nameless stabs her with the special dagger that they keep trying to get people to stab one another with. Oh, so that's why people think that'll work.

Jacob then shows up and goes nuts when he sees what he has done. He beats the shit out of Nameless (how many times has this guy got his ass kicked?). Mother told Jacob earlier that walking into the beautiful light would be 'worse than death', so he decides this would be perfect for Nameless. He throws him towards it, but as he does Nameless hits his head on a rock and seems to die. When Nameless's body hits the light the Smoke Monster comes flying out.

Nameless' corpse is found and placed with Mother's, and it turns out they're Adam and Eve from season 1 in the caves. Ok, that was a lot of chew on, so let's think about this for a minute.

Questions:
- So MIB isn't really Jacob's brother, but has his form. Was it all to just fuck with Jacob? Is he part evil, part Locke, and part nameless?
- What is the light?
- Why is drinking that wine special?
- Did the light go out when the smoke monster came out?

Theories:
- Jack will be the new Jacob (obvious right?)
- Neither MIB or Jacob are really good. Could it just be boredom? Who is to say that Jacob isn't looking for a replacement for MIB? Maybe MIB is the real good guy, because he doesn't want anyone else to experience his life, which is "worst then death".

I am really getting sick of Comcast. It is always having problems. It's new thing is to say that something recorded, but when you try to play it the screen just goes black, and nothing is there. Anyways, I'll watch it tonight, and have the recap up tomorrow.

LOST Recap: "The Candidate"

Sorry wasn't around for the last episode (2 weeks ago), but whatever. LOST has been amazing, and we are nearing the end (2 episodes until the 2 hour finale). Last night episodes really killed off a lot of characters. As always I have split this between on and off island.

Off-Island:

The shows started with Locke in the hospital after surgery in which Jack saved his life (after Desmond hit him with a car). Lots of talking here, but seemingly important, as Jack tells John he is a "candidate" for a new procedure that could give Locke back the ability to walk. Locke refuses, but you know Jack and he isn't going to give up.

Jack pays a visit to Bernard's dental office snooping for info on John Locke. Bernard keeps his oath as a doctor (do dentist's still count?) and doesn't share the confidential information, but still helps to steer Jack in the right direction, by telling him the name of John Locke's dad (Anthony Cooper).

The whole scene with Bernard seemed a little odd. Bernard seems to know what is going on (and didn't seem to be surprised they were on flight 815), so maybe he has already had his "flash" to the island reality. He just seemed to be acting a lot like Desmond was after he figured everything out.

Anyways, Jack tracks down Anthony Cooper. He is living in a hospital, and before he can get to him he runs into Locke's wife (Helen). She tells Jack to leave this alone, and that saving his life was enough, but in a typical Jack way he says "No, it's not". Jack finally sees that Jack's dad is all fucked up. He can't talk, walk, or really do much of anything except drool.

Locke woke up in his hospital bed saying "Push the button", and "I wish you had believed me." Jack hears all this, but he has no idea what the hell is going on, so it didn't seem like a big deal. Jack sees Claire wondering in the hallways, and they finally get a chance to talk after has been revealed to be his sister. Claire shows him what Jack's father left with her, which seemed to just be a nice box with a mirror in it (the use of mirrors has been really interesting).

Anyways, Claire eventually reveals that she was also on Flight 815, and you can tell by the look on Jack's face that he is starting to figure out something is going on. Jack then catches Locke as he is leaving the hospital. Jack confronts him one last time about the surgery, but Locke is having none of it. Locke explains that he was responsible for his father's current state, because he took him flying and it crashed before they even got very far off the ground. Jack says that basically Locke's father is already dead, and he needs to let go. Locke refuses, and rolls away (I think there is much more to that scene, but I don't feel like writing a book).

On-Island:

The on-island story starts with Jack waking up on the beach on Hydra Island. Sayid explains that Locke wants him to help them, then we cut to Sawyer, Kate, and the rest of the gang being put in cages. Sawyer is able to get his hands on a gun, but Widmore threatens to kill Kate, because she is not a "candidate", and Sawyer gives up.

Sayid and Jack on the beach on Hydra Island once again, we hear him tell Jack flat-out "Locke saved you." When Flocke joins them, Jack tells him that he's not sure he plans on joining him in his plan to leave the Island. Flocke says that he hopes Jack will change his mind, paralleling the "off-island world" where Jack hopes that Locke will change his mind about the surgery. Flocke is unhappy about Jack's decision and launches into a tirade about how he could have killed Jack and everyone else...but didn't. I'm not sure that was the best way to build trust, it came across as pretty threatening.

Back to the cages where Sawyer confirmed that Widmore was telling the truth about Kate not being on the list. Then all of a sudden the power goes out, and we hear the "click-click-click" of the smoke monster. Smokey kills a lot of Widmore's people, and Jack frees Kate, Sawyer, the Kwons, and Lapedis from the cages.

After the escape from the Cages, the Losties (with Flocke) make their way to the plane. At the Ajira plane, the two guards fired on Flocke, but is a smoke monster so they don't last long. Locke takes a watch from one of the dead guards, and then finds the explosives on the plane. He comes and explains to the group that Widmore wanted to get them all in a confined area to kill them.

As they left the Ajira plane, Jack held firm to his insistence that he would not be leaving, and even Flocke says "fair enough". Claire then apologized to Flocke for deserting him earlier, and he gave her a forgiving pat on the back and told her he understood why she did it. Then they all decide the only way off the island is to take the sub.

On the way to the sub, Jack knocked Flocke into the water as Sawyer had instructed, leading all of us Lost junkies to scream thinking that the long-standing theory that Flocke was weakened by water was about to be confirmed. Um...not so much. Basically he just got wet, and mad. While in a shootout with all the guards Kate gets hit. She seems to be alright, and all of them make it to the sub except for Claire, and Flocke.

Flocke gets out of the water as Claire flips out that she has been ditched once again. Flocke then tells her "you don't want to be on that sub", and man was he right. It turns out that Flocke put the bomb he found on the plane in Jack's backpack. Jack was right-on in his assessment that the goal by Flocke was for them to kill each other, which is what they would be doing by messing with the bomb. And just as Jack has become the Faithful, like Locke...Sawyer has now become the Non-Believer, like Jack once was, and of course fucks with the bomb.

The clock starts going faster on the bomb, and Sayid redeems himself finally by taking the bomb and running as far as he can away from them (well as much as you can on a sub). Of course before Sayid blows up he has to have some creepy line, so he turns to Jack and says "It's going to be you, Jack".

After the bomb goes off all hell breaks loose. Lapedis is killed by an exploding door (good, pointless character). Sawyer gets knocked out, and Sun is stuck behind a fridge and some metal poles.

The water keeps rising, and even though Jack and Jin were able to move the fridge, Sun still couldn't get free. Eventually Jin tells Jack to get out of here with Sawyer. Sun tries to get Jin to go, but he says "I will never leave you again". The water keeps rising, and they die. Kate, Hurley, Sawyer and Jack are only ones left from the sub. They are able to swim ashore, and all have a good crying session.

Then we switch to Claire and Flocke, and somehow the MIB knows that the sub sunk, and not everyone is dead...and stomps off "to finish what I started."

Questions:

- What is the deal with the mirrors?
- Where is Widmore?
- Where is Ben, Miles (the only non-white still on the show), and Richard?
- Would the bomb have gone off if Sawyer didn't fool with it?
- What will be the end result of the two timelines? Will it become 1?

Theories:
- People still left to die: Sawyer, Ben, Richard, Miles, Widmore, Flocke.
- I don't think the bomb would've gone off, much like the scene with Jack and Richard in the Black Rock.


What a great episode, and the next one I guess is going to be about the history of the island, so that should be real cool. As always leave and theories or questions in the comment section.

LOST Tonight!!!

Yea, don't watch it until after the Celtics...

From what I have read online it sounds like tonight's episode won't have a "centric" character, which could move the story along a lot more. If you can't wait here are some sneak peeks...

LOST Recap: Everybody Loves Hugo

Everybody really does love Hugo. Ghosts talk to him, his mother loves him (though kind of a bitch), odd women from mental institutions, his employees, perfectly good Scottish strangers, buckets of chicken, mental health professionals, and even Flocke.

As always I have broken this up from on and off island...

Off-Island:

It's pretty clear now that the "alternative universe" is definitely relevant, and connected to the the on-island timeline, though we're not yet sure how or why yet. Anyways, Hugo is a huge success in this timeline. He has all the money in the world, he goes around helping people with the money he has made, yet there is still 1 thing he doesn't have. Love.

His mother sets him up on a blind date with the neighbor's daughter. Hugo shows up, but the date doesn't show. After a while a blonde sits down at the table with Hugo. Hugo obviously thinking this is his date, asks her to sit down. This woman starts going on and on about how she knows him somehow, and that they are connected. We come to find out this is Libby! Yet, with LOST there is always a catch. She is actually on a little retreat from the mental institution. Ummm, before we go on, these "trips" can't be allowed in real life, or at least I hope not, because letting a bunch of crazies go in a restaurant sound like the worst idea ever. But lets not think about that and move on...

Libby is eventually ushered away by her doctor, and put in a van back to the mental institution. Hugo, who was already feeling shitty since his date didn't show, is now feeling even worse, because he really liked Libby, but she is crazy, and he goes and eats his troubled away with from fried chicken.

While pounding away some chicken Desmond comes into the fast food joint. Hugo eventually notices that Desmond has been staring at him. Desmond comes and sits at the table, and makes "Holy shit that's a lot of chicken comment". Hugo then explains that he eats when he is depressed, and tells him about his day.

We saw in the previous episode that Desmond is going around tracking down the passengers of Flight 815 in an apparent attempt to trigger in them memories of the On-Island timeline. Desmond pushes Hurley to not give up on her, and to go see what he can find out. Hugo decides to do so, and makes his way to the hospital. There he is stopped by the same doctor from the restaurant, but Hugo quickly pays him off and goes in to meet Libby.

Libby is more then excited to see Hurley, because she thinks that he remember this "other timeline" (which would mean she isn't crazy). Hurley doesn't, but he admits that he still wants to take her out on a date. She is there voluntarily, so she takes him up on his offer, and they head to the beach (just like they wanted to in the on-island timeline before she got capped by Michael).

While sitting on the beach Libby finally kisses Hugo, which causes him to have a flash to the other timeline. This proves that Libby isn't crazy. Desmond, watching near by in his car, knows that they now know and moves on. After creeping by a school for awhile (hilarious) Desmond sees Locke wheeling himself up the street. I don't know if he wanted him dead, because he knows he's a smoke monster, or if he is trying to give him a near death experience to jog his memory, but he chases him down in his car and hits him. Locke is laying very beat up on the street and that's the last we see of that.


On-Island:

Hurley is becoming a leader. He can talk to dead people, and now people are starting to respect what he says. Richard has a plan to go blowup the plane, so that Flocke can't use it to leave the island. To pull this plan off Richard and Ilana have collected some dynamite from the Black Rock.

Suddenly Michael appears to Hurley, and tells him that if they go through with Richard's plan a lot of people are going to die. Hugo doesn't really listen to this, since Michael is the one who killed Libby. Shortly after Ilana is rounding everyone up to head off towards the plane. Then she blows up because of the unstable dynamite. All I have to say is thank you LOST, I really didn't give a shit about her.

After this shocking sequence Hurley decides that they should still follow through with Richard's plan, or at least that's what he wants them to think. They arrive at the Black Rock to pick up more dynamite, but this time Richard (who can't die) is going to carry it (really should have been the plan in the 1st place). Anyways, they notice Hurley is missing, then we see him running towards the group. The Black Rock explodes, and now there is seemingly no way to blowup the plane. Richard is not pleased, and throws a fit. After he calms down he remembers that there are more explosives in one of the Dharma hangouts. Richards asks people to join him, but only 2 decide to go (Ben/Miles). The rest of the group (Frank, Jack, Sun, Hurley) head off to meet up with Flocke.

Meanwhile, Desmond is tied to a tree by evil robot Sayid. Sayid goes and gets Flocke to deal with this situation. Flocke seems very surprised that Desmond is back, and also doesn't seem to know all that much about him. After a long walk and talk Flocke and Desmond come to a well. Flocke seems to be getting along with Desmond, but asks him why he isn't afraid. Desmond replies that he doesn't really see the point. Apparently that was the incorrect answer and Desmond is thrown down the well (don't worry he's fine).

Now we cut back to Hurley and jack walking in the jungle looking for camp Flocke. Jack has a heart to heart with Hugo, where he self diagnoses himself, blaming himself for Juliet dying and his compulsive need to fix everything. “Maybe I’m supposed to let go”.

Hugo counter with “Unless you letting go gets us killed”. At this point jack really doesn't care and says he trusts Hurley. At that moment, Hurley hears the voices of the Island’s ghosts, and he runs off and sees Michael again. He explains that he’s a spirit that can’t move on because of what they did in his life. He shows Hurley where Locke is, and tells him to apologize to Libby if he ever sees her again.

When Flocke returns to his camp, he tell Sayid he doesn’t have to worry about him anymore, and Sawyer comes to berate him with more questions, when Hurley walks into their camp. He negotiates a truce before the rest of his guys come out. When they do, there are half smiles and looks between the several castaways who have been kept apart, but other than a sinister “Hello Jack” uttered by Locke, we’re all going to have to wait for their conversation next week.

Questions:
- What is the deal with Desmond? How does he know who to nudge to remember things, and who to run over with a car?
- Is the "donkey wheel" in the same well that Desmond has been thrown in?
- Does Flocke actually want all these people to leave with him, or does he have to kill everyone "candidate" to get off?
- How did the off-island timeline start? Jack's bomb? The hatch? Flocke? Jacob?
- Who the fuck is that little kid that is running around pissing off Flocke? Jacob?

Theories:
- People who are going to die: Richard, Ben, Miles, Sawyer, Sayid.
- The "off-island timeline" is going to stop soon. Don't know how, but I really think we will have 1 timeline soon.
- The little kid running around has to be Jacob.

LOST Recap: Happily Ever After

Today I am not going to split this from on and off island, because I think it is just easier with this episode to do it this way.

We finally get the return of fan favorite Desmond. Desmond wakes up after being shot by Ben Linus, and he's very confused and very drugged. While he did manage to save his wife and throw Ben into the water, he is waking up in a random remote location with strangers all around. Except for Charles Widmore (the worst father-in-law of all time) who says he brought Desmond back to the Island. Desmond returns this by smashing him in the head with an IV pole (thank you). The bad news is that there is really nowhere to go, and Widmore's people quickly get him back under control, then Widmore demands that they start 'the test' immediately.

"The test" involves putting Desmond is a cabin with two huge electromagnetic machines. Widmore says that he is the only one who could survive it, since he is the one who survived the hatch explosion. He also tells him that after this is over he is going to ask him to make a sacrifice. Desmond basically tells him to go fuck himself, and the test starts.

After a pretty cool scene of Desmond yelling while these things fire up, we then see that he has flashed to the sideways universe, just after the Oceanic flight had landed. Desmond (like a lot of the other main characters) is somehow different. He isn't a failure, and he isn't with Penny. He is more a "James Bond" type of guy, who works for Widemore and does whatever he wants. He is wealthy, travels around the world, but has no friends or family.

Desmond is picked up by George Minkowski, who fans remember as the communicator on the freighter who started getting bloody noses and died. Minkowski is now his chauffeur and drives him to meet his boss Charles Widmore. To make things even more odd they seem like they are best friends, and Widmore even lets Desmond have some of his 60 year old scotch.

Desmond is assigned to get Charlie out of jail, clean him up and get him to Widmore's house so that he can put on a show. Desmond never questions this and is off to get Charlie, who is just leaving jail after almost dying on the Oceanic flight while trying to swallow his stash of heroine.

When he gets to Charlie we can tell Charlie isn't doing so well. Right after Charlie is freed from jail he crosses the street without any regard for cars, and makes his way to a bar. Desmond follows him. Charlie starts going on and on about true love and that he had a moment when he almost died on the ship when he saw a beautiful blond girl (Claire) and felt nothing but love. He's obsessive about getting that back, so obsessive that he drives Desmond's car into the lake and tries to drown them. Desmond saves him, but under water he sees Charlie drowning with "Not Penny's Boat" written on his hand. At the hospital they try to give him an MRI but as you can imagine, electromagnetic waves and Desmond don't mix well. He starts getting flashes of his other life with Penny and freaks out. He sees Jack and tries to get him to help find Charlie, but the druggie runs by in a hospital gown. Charlie can tell by Desmond's face that he is understanding now about the flashes, and tells him to find whoever this Penny is.

So with everything going to shit Desmond calls Widmore to tell him that Charlie will not be making it to the event. Widmore is pissed, and tells Desmond that he has to go and tell his wife that. Who is his wife? Well, Eloise Hawking of course. She is supposed to be the meanest bitch on the planet, but when Desmond gets to her and tells her what is happening she says it is fine, but looks rather uncomfortable. As he is leaving he hears Penny's name being read off the guest list and Eloise pulls him quickly to the side. She seems to know exactly what's going on, and she tells him to let it go because he's not ready yet.

After really not knowing what to do Desmond finally leaves, but is met outside by Daniel Faraday. He babbles to Desmond about seeing a beautiful redhead at the museum (Charlotte) and falling instantly in love. But not love at first sight, more like he'd always known and loved her. And then he started writing about quantum mechanics, things he could not know in this timeline since he's just a musician in the sideways reality. He talks about a bomb and says he thinks he already set one off. He tells Desmond where his half-sister Penny will be, and Desmond runs off to find her.

The meeting place is somewhere we know well. A soccer stadium that Penny and Desmond have met at before, and it is also where Desmond met Jack. Desmond meets Penny and their chemistry is off the charts as always. The second he shakes her hand though, he flashes back to the Island and wakes up back in the room with Widmore. If you can remember Penny is Desmonds "constant" so it makes sense that she would be the thing that would let him flash back and forth.

When he wakes up back on the island. He agrees to do anything Widmore wants without question. Then he's taken away and his guards are murdered by Sayid, except for Zoe who runs. Sayid says Desmond must come with him, and Desmond just says "Sure". Back in Sideways world, Desmond passed out in front of Penny and she still adores him, so they agree to go out for coffee. He's deliriously happy when he gets back to the limo and tells Minkowski to get him the manifest for the 815 flight he was on. He wants to 'show' them all something. So, we can finally see that these two timelines are starting to notice each other.

Questions:
- Why did Desmond agree to go with Sayid?
- How did Widemore know of Desmond's "ability"?
- What will happen when these two timelines know about each other?

Theories:
- Massive death are soon to come, so get ready.
- I am starting to wonder if MIB made this sideways timeline. Maybe at the end each of them will have to choose the real world, or the one that MIB created.

Should be a real good epsiode. Rumor is it is all about Desmond, and his episodes are usually some of the best...

LOST Recap: The Package

After last weeks episode expectations are so high that it is impossible to live up to the hype. Still, this episode moved the plot along and you can really feel everything coming together for the finale (only 6-7 episodes left). As always I break this up between on and off island.

OFF-ISLAND:

This episode is about the Kwon's. You know what that means...subtitles time. We find Jin and Sun where we last saw them (well together anyways), at the airport. Jin is in trouble because he has $25,000 in undeclared cash. The police finally free him, but they have confiscated his money. You just know that's bad news, as last time we saw Jin was right after Sayid killed a whole bunch of people, and Jin was in a giant refrigerator tied up.

The Kwons head to a hotel. We find out that Jin and Sun are not married in this reality, but they are still having a "secret relationship". Sun gets all slutty on us, and Jin finally caves and spends the night in her room. When they wake up in the morning, Sun attempts to talk Jin into running away with her. She reveals that she has a secret banking account, and just when she’s about to divulge another big secret, Martin Keamy (one of the guys Sayid shot) knocks on Sun’s door.

Obviously, he is the guy who was supposed to get paid that $25,000. Sun gives him the watch they had, but that isn't enough. Sun offers that she will cover the $25,000, but she will have to go to the bank first. Because Keamy can’t understand Korean and Sun and Jin don’t speak English, Keamy finds an associate who does speak Korean. Of course, it’s someone we know... Mikhail Bakunin. Mikhail, you may remember, was a member of the Others who worked in The Flame station on the island before he was killed (or at least we think was killed).

So, Sun heads to the bank with Mikhail. Things don't go well when she gets there, as she finds out her father has found out about her secret runaway bank account. Mikhail (who looked like he expected this to happen) takes her back to the restaurant.

Meanwhile, Sayid kills Keamy’s associates, wounds Keamy, and helps Jin free himself. When Mikhail returns with Sun, Jin shoots Mikhail’s eye out. Unfortunately, Sun is hit by a stray bullet (in what looks to be her stomach), and while Jin is taking her to the hospital, she reveals that she is pregnant....never a good combo.

ON-ISLAND:

On the island, Widmore’s team captures Jin and takes him to the Hydra Island. They stick him in Room 23, which if you can remember was featured back in season 3. It is some kind of mind control room, which we find out is to study the affects of subliminal messages. Zoe asks Jin for information on electromagnetic pockets on the island (which she has a map of), but before Jin will answer any questions, he demands to speak to Widmore. Without much delay Widemore enters, and shows Jin a picture of his kid (Ji-Yeon), who he has never seen. He tells Jin that in order to protect Ji-Yeon and Sun, they have to stop Flocke.

Meanwhile, Sun’s still on the beach with Team Jacob. Everyone is kind of bumming around not really sure what to do. Illana is insisting on waiting for Richard, which pisses off Sun. So, she stomps off to her old garden, which she made back in season 1. Flocke comes strolling out of the jungle and tells her that he can lead her to Jin. Sun thinks about it for a minute, then runs. One of the most logical things on this show ever (right up there with when Ben came in and saw Sayid over two dead bodies in the Temple, and he just exited stage left).

Well, Sun pulls a typical horror movie woman thing and knocks herself out on a giant branch. Flocke apparently just leaves her there, as Ben finds her and brings her back to the beach.

Richard does finally return to the beach with Hurley, and he insists that they travel to the Hydra Island to destroy the Aijira plane, so that Flocke can't leave the Island. This makes Sun angry, again, and she tells Richard that she refuses to go destroy the plane, but of course she can't speak English anymore as a result of the bump on her head (gay), and once again storms off.

Since Sun’s a candidate, Illana must stay and protect her. By the end of the episode Jack convinces Sun to go with them all to Hydra. Jin is on Hydra right now, so one would hope they're a few steps closer to seeing eachother again.

Back at camp Flocke. Claire is worried about Aaron not knowing her and only knowing Kate. Flocke alludes to Claire that disposing of Kate can be done once they don't need her anymore. Sayid, who is looking more zombie like with every episode, says he can't feel anything anymore, which Flocke says might be a good thing for what comes next (ewwww creepy).

When Flocke notices that Jin has been taken by Widemore he grabs Sayid and they head to Hydra Island. When they get there Flocke confronts Widemore, but can't attack him since those Smoke Monster sound barriers are up. While this whole conversation is going on Sayid has slipped away. Widemore tells Flocke that he doesn't have Jin, and Flocke leaves.

The title, “The Package,” was referring to what Widmore was hiding in his double-locked room on the submarine. We learned, at the end of the episode, that the package is Desmond Hume! Who is being dragged out of the sub by two of Widemore's men, as Sayid sits and waits to enter the sub. We have no idea why he is important, but if I had to guess I'd say we'll find out next week.

Questions:
- Why is Desmond important?
- Can Sayid/Claire ever be "good" again?
- What is the deal with the flash-sideways? and how does it relate to the original timeline?
- Where is Penny and little Charlie (Desmond's kid) in all this?

Theories:
- I think there are a lot of deaths coming. My death watch list is anyone of Widemore's team, Sayid, Ben, Sawyer, Illana (def not making till the end).
- Not sure how, but I bet Kate becomes a "candidate".
- Mikhail getting shot in the eye either symbolizes that everything eventually ends up the same in the alternate timeline. If that is true, when maybe Sun is in trouble.

LOST Recap: Ab Aeterno

We finally got what we all wanted. We got the story of Richard and a ton of answers. To be honest I thought that this is probably one of the best LOST episodes of all time. Usually I break this up by on and off island, but there isn't really any way to do that with this episode, so we will just start...

We started off this week with a short recap of Jacob’s visit to Ilana while she was banged up (more than Pamela Anderson on one of her rock-star benders) in some hospital. Jacob tells her that she must protect the 6 candidates and that Richard will know what to do after that. Richard quickly reminds us that he was attempting to kill himself last time we saw him. He has lost faith in everything he believes in, and then informs them that they are all in hell. Oh ok, so that's what's been going on....of course not.

After his little speech Richard takes off into the jungle, while Jack notices that Hurley is talking to dead people again. He demands that he tells him what Jacob said, but Hurley wasn't talking to Jacob and so Hurley takes off after Richard.

We do the whole LOST flashback thing to 1867 in the Canary Islands. Richard is some poor Spanish guy, who is trying to take care of his extremely sick wife. He tells his wife that he will go get a doctor. She gives him a cross necklace (I assume, because he's got no money), and Richard takes off out the door. Of course the whole doctor thing doesn't go well. The douchebag demands a large sum of money that Richard doesn't have. He tries to give the doc the necklace, but he throws it on the ground saying it is useless. Richard at this point snaps takes the medicine and pushed the doctor, who falls and slams his head on the table killing him.

Richard gets back to his wife only to find that she is dead. An angry mob then arrives and Richard is thrown in prison (yea, so far good day). In prison a priest gives him his last rights, but refuses to forgive him. He doesn't stop there also telling him that he is going to hell.

In the morning, the priest returns and he and some others lead Richard to a slave ship commander (Whitfield) to see if Richard is fit for purchase. It isn’t until Richard reveals that he is learning to speak English that the commander (who works for Magnus Hanso) agrees to take him to the ‘New World.’

As if things couldn't get any worse their is a huge storm while the are on the slave ship (Black Rock). One of the slaves looks out the window and says he sees the devil (which is actually just that big statue). The storm throws the boat into the statue, and into the middle of the island. Ok, well things can only get better from here right??? No.

Richard and many of the slaves are spared only to be bludgeoned by Whitfield. Richard is about to get it, but then the Black Smoke comes in and fucks everyone up. Days later, Richard (still in chains) awakens to see a boar feasting upon the dead. He tries to spear the boar with a little nail he found (not the best idea) and loses the nail. He now is just going crazy. He sees his dead wife (most likely MIB), but this reunion doesn't last long as the Smoke comes back and kills her too, but not before she tells Richard they are in Hell.

Richard appears to give up this point, but then MIB appears to free him and give him some water. MIB tells Richard that yes, he is in hell, but that he can kill the devil (Jacob) with this special knife and free Bella (same knife given to Sayid to kill MIB). Then MIB drops the line, “It’s good to see you out of those chains,” which you will remember is what Flocke said to Richard when they ran into each other in the jungle.

MIB tells Richard the same thing Dogen said to Sayid when he sent him to kill Flocke...Don’t let him speak. Richard goes to kills Jacob who he believes is the devil, Jacob beats the crap out of him and then proves Richard isn’t dead by trying to drown him, which was awesome!

After this bonding moment Jacob and Richard have a long talk. Jacob tells Richard that he brought the boat, that he brings people to the island to prove to the MIB that people can be good regardless of their past, and that the others he’s brought are dead because they couldn’t help themselves. THANK YOU.... we have been waiting for that for about 6 years, but he doesn't stop there. Using a bottle of wine, Jacob explains that the wine is evil. If you pour it, it will spread. The island acts like a cork, keeping evil in its place. Once again....THANK YOU.

Jacob offers Richard a job-act like Jacob’s spokesman with the candidates and he can have whatever he wants in return. Richard asks for his wife, and Jacob says he can't do that. He asks for eternal bliss (heaven), but Jacob tells him he can't do that either. Richard finally says he wants to live forever (terrible idea). Jacob says OK, touches him, and that's why Richard can't age....Boom.

Richard goes back to MIB and gives him a gift from Jacob (white rock), MIB tells him he can change his mind whenever he wants, the offer still stands.

So we flash back to current times. Richard is digging up Bella’s crucifix and starts yelling that he has changed his mind. But, before Flocke can get to him, our boy Hurley does. He tells him his wife is next to him, and they have this whole heartbreaking scene, where basically she tells him that they will always be together, but he has to stop blaming himself.

We end with Richard putting on Isabella’s crucifix and heading back to camp with Hurley despite a very pissed off looking Flocke who has been watching in the distance.

We flash once again back in time, and it is Jacob and MIB sitting. We go through the whole I'm going to kill you thing. Jacob hands MIB the bottle of wine, and MIB smashes it....

Questions:
- Is Flocke really pure evil?
- How did Flocke and Jacob get these powers?
- What would happen if Flocke left the island?

Theories:
- No way Richard makes it too much longer. They wrapped up his story, and he'll be dead soon.
- Jacob let Ben kill him Obie-Wan Kenobi style. Knowing to prove his point other people were going to have to pick up his task of keeping the MIB on the island.
- Jack will be the new Jacob, but I'm not sold he is making it out of this show alive.

LOST Recap: Recon

We are now 1/2 way through the final season of LOST. Last night's episode was about Sawyer. As always I split this up between on and off island...

OFF-ISLAND:

Sawyer's sideways life is, I would say, the most different of anyone else's that we've seen so far. It starts off with him pulling his normal con, but there is something different this time around. After opening his briefcase and money falling out (usual) the woman he is trying to con pulls out a gun. Sawyer says that he is a cop, the woman doesn't believe him and then Sawyer utters the word "Lafluer" and cops flood the room. It was all a setup to take down this woman.

We find out Sawyers partner is Miles, which is very similar to how they were on-island in the 70's. For everything that is different about Sawyer some things are still the same. Sawyer is still obsessed with finding Anthony Cooper, the original Sawyer who incited his parents' deaths. If you still believe the "incident" cause the alt timeline, then this makes sense...Sawyer's father killed himself and his mother in 1976, whereas the explosion on the island happened in '77.

Sawyer's hidden vengence plot is causing problems all over the place. His new GF (Charlotte, my 2nd least favorite character) finds a scrapbook notating what happened to his parents. Sawyer comes in to the room and sees her looking at it. He flips shit, and kicks her out. He tries to make up for it later, but she was having none of that.

It is also causing problems with this partner (Miles). Miles finds out that Sawyer has been lying about where he went on vacation, as Sawyer flew to Sidney. Finally Sawyer tells Miles the truth, and everything seems to be fine.

Kate just keeps popping up in every timeline of this Sawyer-focused episode. This time she is running from the cops after a hit and run. Sawyer tackles her, and I'm sure we will see more of this later.

ON ISLAND:

In short, shit is hitting the fan.

Flocke asks Sawyer to go on a recon for him. He wants him to go to the other island and see what's going on over there. Sawyer does as he is told, but when he gets over there it is not a pleasant sight. All the people from the Ajira plane are dead, and in a ditch, except 1 woman. Sawyer tracks her down, and she says that she is the only one remaining. We find out this is a lie, and that all these people were killed by Widmore's little army that came on the sub. Sawyer is captured for the 1,000th time, and him and Widmore finally have a face to face. Sawyer is open and honest with everything that is going on. He tell Widmore that Flocke sent him, and tells him that he will tell him the coast is clear and bring him into a trap. Widmore seems to buy it, and Saywer is free to go.

Once he gets back to the island Sawyer talks to Flocke. He tells him exactly what he tell Widmore. He says that while they are setting up their trap Flocke and take them all out. Flocke seems to buy this too, so the battle is a brewing.

Meanwhile, Kate has crazy Claire on her hands. Claire acts like they are best friends, but the second Kate turns her back Claire whips out a knife and tries to kill Kate. Flocke breaks it up slapping Claire (best part of the episode). Flocke tries to apologize to Kate, saying it is his fault since he told her the Others had her baby. Later Claire comes back and apologizes, and they hug...All I can say is Claire better not just be all better now.

Some interesting things came out when Kate and Flocke were talking. Flocke states that he had a crazy mother, and now Aaron has a crazy mother, and this apparently is bad news. I will back to this in the questions and theories.

After all this Sawyer meets up with Kate. He tells them he is going to let Flocke and Widmore fuck eachother up. While all this is going on Kate and him are going to sneak onto the sub and get off this island. We are supposed to think that Sawyer still wants Kate after seeing her old dress at the cages (a flashback to when they banged in season 3), but to be honest I couldn't care less.

Questions:

- If Anthony Cooper (the con who killed Sawyers parents) is still a bad guy, then why did it seem Locke was on good terms with him in his sideways life?

- Since Kate has been raising Aaron, are we finally seeing what the psychic warned Claire about?

- Did Charlotte find the scrapbook of Sawyers dead family by a mistake, or was she looking for it? (seemed to me see was looking for it)

- Is Claire going to try to kill Kate again? (I hope so)

- Is Widmore on Jacob's side, or is he doing this for himself?

Theories:

- I said last week that I think the flash sideways are the payoff for what people do on the island. That hasn't changed yet.

- After Flocke's little rant about Aaron having a crazy mother, and he had a crazy mother I think Aaron could be Flocke's "chosen one", and that is why the the psychic insisted that no one raise Aaron but Claire.

- I am not so sure that Christian Sheppard is the MIB. Maybe Jacob, knowing what the psychic know, sabotaged Claire's mental state by sending Christian Shepard to spirit her away... thus abandoning Aaron and plunging her into craziness. But at the same time maybe it is the MIB, because he wants his "chosen one".

LOST Recap: Dr. Linus

This wasn't the most thrilling episode of LOST, but we did learn a lot about being a "candidate". As always, I'll break this up between on and off island.

OFF-ISLAND:

This entire episode really revolved are Ben. He has been the enemy to the Losties for a long time, but there are bigger things at work and Ben has kind of fallen to the side.

In his "alternate reality" (or whatever is going on) Ben is mild mannered teacher. Life isn't great, but it's not terrible. We find out that Ben is taking care of his father, who's life is declining. The good news is that he hasn't killed his father, and we also find out that they both still went to the island and left their under their own accord (we still don't know why).

We see Ben working in the school, and we find out that Alex Rousseau (Ben's "daughter" in the other reality) is still a big part of his life. He is not her father, but she is one of his most promising students. We also learn through her that Danielle Rousseau, her mother, is a hard-working provider, though there is still no mention of her father.

There are somethings that bother Ben. He has to work detention, and his budget is always being cut. After digging up some dirt on the principle Ben makes a power move to take his job. It works to a point, but this principle is also the person that is going to write Alex a letter of recommendation. He says that if Ben takes his job then he will destroy Alex's life. Unlike the time on the island when Ben let Alex get shot, he chooses to save her "life" in this reality (he still gets a little out of it, no more detentions, and more money for books).

ON-ISLAND:

This epsiode is about Ben, but on the island it was about "Team Jacob" coming together. We have seen over the past couple of weeks that "Team Flocke" is growing strong, so it is only natural that we were going to see the other team building up it's forces.

Wanting to go back to the temple, Jack and Hurley are interrupted by Richard. I guess he's still just running around the island all alone at this point (I love how people on this show do this for long periods of time). He tells Jack and Hurley that he will take them to the Temple, this of course is a lie and he takes them to the Black Rock. We get more hints about the story of Richard. It seems that he got to the Island on the Black Rock, and I am guessing that he was a slave since he stated "that this is the first time he had come back, since he landed here".

Richard basically wants out. He has spent his whole life (well actually more then that...eternity) doing Jacob's work, and now he is dead and let's just say Richard has had enough. He can't kill himself, so he asks Jack to kill him with a stick of dynamite. Jack agrees, but as he lights the fuse he starts asking Richard questions.

Jack has changed a lot this season. In previous season he was always bull-headed, and stubborn, but it seems he has found faith. After seeing his house in the Lighthouse Jack seems to have figured out that this Jacob guy is pretty important, and if he has been watching him this long then he is probably important too. Jack lets the fuse burn down, tell Richard all he has learned, and basically giving Richard some hope that his whole life wasn't for nothing. The fuse burns out before exploding (hand of Jacob?) and Richard is "reborn".

The episode was also about Ben perhaps finally starting to make some better choices on his own. Faced with his impending death at the hands of Ilana, he is given a choice... Break for Hydra station and join Locke, or die. And yet somehow (as he always does), Ben finds a 3rd choice. By simply being genuine (which is something new for Ben) with Ilana about what was going through his head when he killed Jacob, and expressing the remorse he feels for the act, he found redemption and an invitation to stay with the group, which he accepts.

So, "Team Jacob" is coming together, and they all meet up at the beach, but of course there is always a surprise ending. This time it is another shitty CGI submarine making it's way to the Island. Who is in it? Well, Charles Widmore of course.

Questions:

- What side will Widmore choose? How will he affect this up coming war? How will he affect Ben?

- What are the Flash Sideways?

- How is Flocke going to get all these people off the island? Is that really his plan?

- Why is Hurley the only one who can see Jacob?

- What's the deal with Ilana? I'd like to see her back-story.

Theories:

- Jack will become the new Jacob.

- Claire is dead (from the house that exploded back in season 4).

- Ok here is my idea about the Flash Sideways. It could be wrong, but it's the best I can do. I think these flashes are the Losties reward for what they did on the island. Think about it...

- Jack's life is better. He has a son, he's not a drunk, and in general his life seems better off.

- Locke has finally accepted that he is wheelchair bound, and he is about to get married.

- Sayid, because he is evil now, his life sucks. The love of his life is still around, but married to his brother. He still kills, and seems miserable.

- Kate is kind of in between. She is still on the run, but is a little more open to helping people (Claire). This one will develop, but Kate has been the most in between character this year.

- Ben has finally chosen to do good. He isn't killing people, the relationship with his father seems a lot better, and he seems to be a decent person.

It is just a theory, but it seems to make sense.
