Jeremiah Masoli Headed To Ole Miss

Booted QB Jeremiah Masoli has transfered to Ole Miss and will be able to play as early as this season. Masoli will be a walk on, however, if he's a good student he will get tuition at a reduced coast.

That second sentence pisses me off, but this is a good move for Masoli and Ole Miss. Now that Javon Snead isn't around, Jeremiah Masoli should be a great replacement. He had a hell of a run in Oregon in which he led them to be top 10 ranked and bowled over the Pac 10.

Ole Miss really never has anything to look forward to except for the occasional really good player (Duece McCallister, Eli Manning, Patrick Willis, Snead, etc) So he fits the mold as being one of those players. The SEC should get him as much attention as the Pac 10 and he may be able to even scoot onto a NFL roster next year if he performs well and doesn't steal laptops and sell drugs.

Last year the SEC of course won the National Championship and I expect nothing less from them this year. So here is my top 5 SEC Teams.

1. Florida

I hate to admit it, but it would not surprise me in the least if they won the National Championship this year. I will be rooting against them all year, but they got Tebow, Spikes, Etc. all back and are in position to do it again.


2. Alabama

The Tide was a surprise team last year and really over achieved. Let's face it, this team is probably a better team without John Parker Wilson behind center. They have my boy Julio Jones who had some off season surgeries but will be fine and ready to dominate any cornerback put on him. They will have to replace Andre Smith, Antoine Caldwell, Marlon Davis, Nick Walker, and Travis McCall but when you have stars like Julio Jones, Mark Ingram, Mike McCoy, and Roy Upchurch, you should still be very competitive.

3. LSU

Not only did LSU have one of the best recruiting classes in 2009, they also found a reliable QB in Jordan Jefferson. Last year, the incompetiance at the quarterback position was as bad as Louisiana's politics (Zing), and ultimately doomed the Tigers to fight uphill all year. However, with LaFell coming back and stud freshman Rueben Randle joining the party, Jefferson will have plenty of Targets. Also, Charles Scott coming back is huge as well.

4. Mississippi

This team has potential to do pretty good in the upcoming season. Ole Miss is ranked No. 20 on the AP poll, and was the only team in the NCAA to defeat Florida last season. Ole Miss will be led by QB Jevan Snead and WR Dexter McCluster. I don't expect Ole Miss to come close to winning the SEC, but they will have a lot of competitive games.

5. Georgia

Georgia lost pretty much everyone, but they did have a good enough recruiting class this upcoming season. I'm not sure who is going to be taking over the helm at quarterback from Matthew Stafford, but they do have enough athletes on the offensive end to stay in some games. They also have a really good Defense to hold the fort down.

Andy Kennedy Seems Nice

"A former University of Cincinnati coach is charged with assaulting a man overnight.
Cincinnati Police say 40 year old Andy Kennedy punched 25 year old cab driver Jiddou Mohammed Ould in the face with a closed fist while shouting racial slurs. The assault happened in the 500 block of Walnut Street in Downtown Cincinnati at 1 a.m. The police report states that there was an unrelated witness who saw the incident."Whole Story

I don't know what you expect. The guy at one time was affiliated with the University of Cincinnati thus making him a terrible person for the rest of his life. Cincinnati is Thug University, and it is nice to know that they have such nice coaches rubbing off on the players. Kennedy is the Ole Miss coach now and I expect that to change in the near future.
