BMack's Troy Murphy Anger Meter

Troy Murphy made his epic return for the Celtics last night. Yes, all the Celtics fans in the country have long awaited this man's return to the court, and he didn't disappoint...

Troy Murphy stat line: 3 mins, 0 point, 0 asts, 1 reb

That rebound was the difference in the game.

Kill yourself Troy Murphy.

Anger Meter: 89% - It went up 3% just from having to look at his stupid face.

Celtics Injury Updates

The Celtics are still battling a lot of injuries and are running out of time before the playoffs start. One would think they would want to get everyone back for at least a couple games to get comfortable and set rotations, so here is a look at where they all are.

Shaq - Everyone thought he was done when he had to leave the game last night, but apparently it is just a calf strain and he could even play next game (Tuesday against Philadelphia). Shaq in my eyes is the key to the Celtics playoff run. That is a scary thought, but they need his big body under the hoop, so lets cross out fingers he will be ok.

Nenad Krstic - When Krstic went down I thought he tore his ACL, but his MRI came back negative, and has even been able to practice. That was good enough for Doc to say that he expects him to be back Tuesday. Krstic has regressed since a strong opening for the Celtics, but he does have some offensive tools and can eat up some minutes as well.

Troy Murphy - Although I wish he was dead on the side of the road somewhere, it sounds like he could be back in the next week or so. Murphy has been a complete bust, and I doubt we will see him much at all in the playoffs, especially if we have a full healthy roster.

Ok, It's Time Someone Ripped Troy Murphy

Remember back a couple weeks ago when we all were excited that Troy Murphy was joining the team? We excused the first couple games, because he "needed to get in shape". Sorry, that is no longer an excuse, and you can tell that Doc is giving up on him more and more. Here are his stats over the past 4 games...

vs. Memphis: 0 points, 0 assists, 0 rebs, 2 turnovers, 4 mins
@ New York: 0 points, 0 assists, 1 rebs, 1 turnover, 2 mins
@ New Orleans: Did not play
@ Houston: 2 points, 1 assist, 3 rebs, 2 turnovers, 15 mins

Lets add all that up. In 21 mins of play he has 2 points, 1 assist, 4 rebs, 5 turnovers.

Mr. Murphy kill yourself. You are the only player on the Celtics that instead of being on the court the Celtics would be better off playing a man down. We chose this guy over Leon Powe, who did more last night then Murphy has done in a Celtics uniform. I can't stand this guy anymore. Every time I see him I just want to punch him in the face. I would rather have Mo Pete, then this piece of shit, no talent ass clown. What does he do for us? He certainly doesn't hit shots, play defense, or rebound. He is just an empty body. Sure when Shaq, and Jermaine come back there will be no reason to play him, but when the Celtics had a chance to add someone who could give you quality minutes we added this bag of sand. When Shaq does return I think they shouldn't allow Murphy on the bench. He's bad for team morale, I mean would you want to look at his stupid useless face every time you go to the bench? I wouldn't. It would just make me think, "damn we could've had Leon Powe".

After every Celtics game I am going to post his stats. Plus, my "anger meter". It's hard not to put it at 100% already, but I'll be nice.

BMack's hatred for Troy Murphy meter: 86%

I think when I hit 100% I might have to kill him.

Breaking News: Celtics Sign Troy Murphy (UPDATED)

There are conflicting reports going on right now. If you believe ESPN the Troy Murphy is coming to the Celtics, but if you believe Yahoo then he is going to the Heat. I am going to wait to do the writeup until it is confirmed. So, stay tuned!!!

***UPDATED***

Troy Murphy has now confirmed to ESPN that he is going to sign to the Celtics. Great signing for the Celtics, as he is a big body that the Celtics really need right now after losing Perkins, and Shaq/Jermaine still on the shelf. My only concern is whether or not he is in shape. He hasn't played much this year, but he will have plenty of time to get in shape before the playoffs either way.

Like I said he hasn't played much this year, but last he averaged 14.6 ppg, with 10.2 rebs, and 2.1 asts. He also shoots about 40% from 3 point range and could really help spread the floor for the 2nd unit.

Buy- Out Options

Rasual Butler and Troy Murphy.

Rasual Butler is a 6'7 swingman who can knock down a shot and play decent defense. A lot of reports say that he is going to the Bulls, but an updated report says otherwise. With the addition of Jeff Green the need for a 3 has gone down but it couldn't hurt.

I never thought I would say this but Troy Murphy is a must. He's a big guy who can spread the floor and shoot and gobble some rebounds. We need some size, any size since we got rid of Perk/ Semih.

James Posey Coming Back To Celtics?

Celticsblog.com ran through all the different trade ideas for the Celtics (Josh Childress, Richard Hamilton, Troy Murphy, Ramon Sessions). The one they seem to think is most likely is James Posey making his way back to Boston. They kind of think of it as a Hedo Turkoglu back to Orlando kind of deal.

I would be a huge fan of this move. Posey gives the Celtics the perfect backup to Pierce and has shown to be clutch defensively. He isn't what he once was, but he knows the Celtics system, and has enough in the tank to really help that 2nd unit that is so banged up.

So what would it take to get it done? There are two way they could work this deal, Daniels and Nate for Posey OR Jermaine O'Neal for Posey. I am fine with either, but if the Celtics could get that waste of space O'Neal off the books for next year I would be happier with that.

Out of the list above the only other guy that I think has any chance of happening is Troy Murphy, since it is almost guaranteed he's going to get bought out.
