The Hitman vs The Hulkster

2 wrestling icons have been going at it via twitter recently and it is none other than Brett "The Hitman" Hart vs Hulk Hogan.

1st Hart called the Hulk a dickhead, then he came out with this picture after it.

I don't know if the Hulk is still wrestling or not but if he is, that's pretty sad. I believe the only one that should still and forever be able to wrestle is the Undertaker. Wrestling got stupid and depressing now a days when there is no bad guys, ridiculous back stories or absurd shows. Now it is just people being bad ass and doing the stupid face wave thing. I haven't watched wrestling in about 8 years and not planning to, however, I think Hogan needs to give Hart a leg drop for the picture.

Why Not Play an Outdoor Game in Western Canada?

The NHL announced that Calgary will be hosting ONE of the TWO outdoor games this upcoming season. Apparently, the games will be a doubleheader. And Boston is the heavy favorite to host the other game, with Washington rumored to be the opponent.

I don't like this one bit. The NHL has almost accidentally created something cool for people: an annual outdoor game. And now they'll ruin it. On New Year's Day, people will watch one game of hockey, but I doubt all but the most die-hard hockey fans out there chooses a Calgary Flames game over the Rose Bowl.

And it will also lead to the outdoor games losing their appeal as it becomes less special to see teams playing outside. One game per season and it's special. Two and it loses its specialness.

At least Calgary native Bret Hart will be pleased.

Ogilvy takes down the Mercedes

While most Americans were tuning into the NFL playoffs, this weekend marked the kickoff of the 2009 PGA tour at the Plantation Course at Kapalua in Hawaii for the Mercedes-Benz Championship. The thirty three man field composed of last years winners is filled with today's who's who except for the world's number one, Tiger Woods. Woods, still recovering from knee surgery, appears to still be uncertain about when his return will be. It is speculated that his return will be sometime before the first major at Augusta.

But this week it was all about the Australian, Geoff Ogilvy, who 67, 68, 65, 68 to finish at -24 and leaving the second place finishers, Anthony Kim and Davis Love III, six shots behind at eighteen under.

Ogilvy made it look pretty easy all weekend, and besides a few hiccups on the front nine yesterday, he nearly played flawless golf.

He went into yesterdays final round with a six stroke lead, which he admitted would be a new experience. After a few poor shots, his lead was cut to one after eight holes. But then the young Aussie made an eagle on the ninth and never looked back.

This is now Geoff's fifth PGA tour victory, which of course includes a U.S. Open championship. Geoff also won a couple tournaments in his homeland at the end of last season, so this young man is hot right now and should be a factor in the upcoming majors. He is 31 years old, so statically speaking he is entering the prime of his career.

Also not in the field besides Tiger were Phil Mickelson, Padraig Harrington and Bret "the hitman" Hart...
