Chris Johnson: Offensive Player of the Year

"That blur speeding away from opposing defenses and running off with The Associated Press 2009 NFL Offensive Player of the Year award is Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson. Considered the fastest man in pro football, Johnson was uncatchable in setting a league mark for yards from scrimmage (2,509) and becoming the sixth player with a 2,000-yard rushing season. He is the first NFL player to finish with at least 2,000 yards rushing and 500 receiving (503) (ESPN)."

Chris Johnson ran away with this award, and there is no reason he shouldn't. Drew Brees came in 2nd place, but Johnson almost broke the rushing record, which is damn impressive since everyone on Earth knows he getting the ball every time. Good for him, and hopefully the Titans can build a team around him that will have a chance to win. With the way the played the 2nd half of the season, they don't see to be too far off...

Chris Johnson Going For NFL Rushing Record

"The Tennessee Titans may try to get Chris Johnson the single season rushing record on Sunday, especially if his teammates have a say. Johnson needs 234 yards to eclipse the record of 2,105, but for now the goal may be 2,000 yards. After all, you can't just hope for 234 yards any given game.

But they play the lowly Seahawks and, as Titans WR Kenny Britt told the Tennessean, "We know when his name goes in the history books, ours does too." So the players may be pushing Johnson to aim for the record, but Seattle coach Jim Mora was more realistic: "That's a lot of yards for one game (ESPN)."

It will be hard to get 234 yards, but with how bad the Seahawks have been playing anything is possible. At least this gives Titans fans a reason to watch. Also, it will be interesting to see how Vince Young bounces back after an awful game against the Chargers.

Prediction: Johnson falls 50 yards short of the record, but Titans win in a blowout.

Picks 21-25

21. Atlanta Traded up to get OT Sam Baker USC, an absolute stud tackle, and the now they got their QB they need to protect him.

22. Dallas picks Felix Jones Ark, I told Bob his pick was stupid. Dallas is absolutely pumped they get this guy. He is explosive and will make a great fit as the one- two punch in the Big D.

23. Pittsburgh Picks Rashard Mendenhall, who is my boy. With Talib off the big board I believe this will be a great pick. Mendenhall along with Willie Parker in the backfield will be a very scary tandem to deal with.

24. Tennessee picks Chris Johnson, this by far is the reach of the day. Johnson definitely would have been there in the second round. Vince really could have used a WR. I don't like this pick, the Titans already have a clusterfuck in the backfield and this puts another wrench in it.

25. Dallas in a trade picks CB Mike Jenkins who I believe is one of the best CB in the draft behind Talib. They got a steal here.
