Well The Girls Lost

Well the girls lost in the World Cup finals to Japan due to Hope Solo and the American shoot out team choking. It happens, we don't need to hear about women's soccer for the next 4 years.

I bashed the World Cup a week or 2 ago stating that I don't care about it, however, I'll be a hypocrite if I sit here and say I didn't watch it. It was an intense game that obviously went down to the wire, it stinks because there were some pretty cute girls on the US team and it's always nice to see pretty girls happy.

Alex Morgan for example:

For all of you think Hope Solo is cute too shut up, she's scary and I feel like she would argue too much and be too outspoken. Personality kills the looks or coolness of the name.

Also, I think it's a Ladybugs like conspiracy too for the US, no way Abby Wombach is a chick, she's too good and too bad ass. She was literally a men amongst boys out there.

Why Not?

Why not see how Japan explains their nuclear problems to kids?

Hahaha, gotta love Japan. Thanks to Jay for finding this gem.

Never Complain About the Weather Again

Yes it's raining. And we got a shit-ton of snow this winter. But we don't have it that bad here in New England. We don't get tornadoes, rarely get hurricanes, and never get tsunami. I know it's part of being a Massachusican to complain about everything (like me complaining in this post about people complaining), but let's just hold the bitching for a few days.

Whale Wars Gets "Real"

"A conservation group's boat had its bow sheared off and was in danger of sinking as it took on water Wednesday after it was struck by a Japanese whaling ship in the frigid waters of Antarctica, the group said.

The boat's six crew members were safely transferred to another of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society's vessels, the newly commissioned Bob Barker. The boat is named for the American game show host who donated $5 million to buy it.

The clash was the most serious in the past several years, during which the Sea Shepherd has sent vessels into far-southern waters to try to harass the Japanese fleet into ceasing its annual whale hunt (FoxNews)."

You know what? Good.

Listen, I am not for killing whales or anything, but these guys take it too far. A couple years ago their captain faked getting shot by the Japanese, and after seeing that in a weird way I root for the Japan. If I was working on that boat, and some hippies threw stink bombs and acid that makes the deck slippery, I would be the first one to take a shot at one of them.

Anyways, everyone seems to be fine, and this will just make the hippies message even stronger (bet this episode gets a shit load of views).

Bizarre Halls Commercial

WTF Japan??????

I think if there is any chance of a trap door in my chest swinging wide open and letting out all my little mini chickens out to fly around the office in front of my boss, I won't take one. Call me conservative, but I find that just way too risky.

Giant Jellyfish Sinks Japanese Fishing Boat

"Pink, slimy and repellent, the Nomura’s jellyfish is an authentic horror of the deep that's been assaulting Japan. Now the creatures have sunk a 10-ton fishing trawler. The boat was capsized off Chiba in Japan, as its three-man crew was trying to haul in a net containing dozens of huge Nomura's jellyfish. Four years after they last reared their slimy heads, and for reasons that remain mysterious, an armada of the gelatinous giants has gathered in the Yellow Sea off China and the Korean peninsula.

Now it has drifted into the Sea of Japan, and brought down the Diasan Shinsho-maru. One of the largest jellyfish in the world, the Nomura's jellyfish can grow up to 6 feet in diameter and weigh as much as 400 pounds. The Telegraph reports that the boat's crew was thrown into the sea, but the three men were rescued by another trawler. The local Coast Guard office reported that the weather was clear and the sea was calm at the time of the accident (FoxNews)."

I hate Jellyfish so much, they serve no purpose, and just ruin everything. Too bad it's not like SpongeBob where we could at least he jelly from them. At least then they would do something other then being disgusting and stinging people.

I couldn't imagine a 400 pound Jellyfish, but with all the climate change it sounds like we are going to see more and more, bigger and bigger jellyfish.
