Shocking Report: Milton Bradley Is Crazy

Here is the least shocking news of the day...

"Police in Los Angeles have arrested Seattle Mariners outfielder Milton Bradley for allegedly making threats against a woman, the Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday.

Bradley, 32, was taken into custody at 10 a.m. local time Tuesday and was taken to the Van Nuys, Calif., jail, where he was booked for suspicion of making criminal threats, a Los Angeles Police Department officer told the Times (ESPN)."

The MLB's Ron Artest is at it again. He went through anger management this year, but that sure doesn't seem like it helped. We don't know a lot of what happened here, yet we can basically all agree he probably said he was going to kill her.

Bradley is a really messed up guy. Before Seattle put him in an anger program he was saying he was having "unpleasant thoughts", and even told his wife he was understanding why some people commit suicide. So, I'm really not surprised that he is having "off the field problems". Next time you hear his name he will probably be in rehab, dead, or in jail.

Great name though.

Crazy Milton Bradley At It Again

Milton Bradley, baseball's self-described bad guy, has asked his Seattle Mariners for help in dealing with what manager Don Wakamatsu says is "emotional stress" from personal issues.

Wakamatsu and general manager Jack Zduriencik said Wednesday that their fiery slugger is out indefinitely until he receives an outside assessment and a plan to address his issues. ESPN

So does this mean Milton Bradley is done with baseball or the Mariners? Milton Bradley is obviously a crazy man and has had his share of incidents in his past. He can be a solid baseball player when not crazy, but he has really tarnished his career with this craziness. My favorite part of this is that he's on BMack's fantasy baseball team and I'm glad he has to go through this.

Cubs Trade Bradley For Silva

"After numerous attempts to move outfielder Milton Bradley, the Chicago Cubs have found a taker. That taker is the Seattle Mariners, who, according to Larry Stone of the Seattle Times, will be sending right-hander Carlos Silva to the Cubs in return for the much-maligned outfielder. The key to deals like this often ends up being money. Bradley is owed $21 million over the next two seasons while Silva is owed $25 million over the same span. Bradley could see time at DH for the Mariners, but could also play left field, particularly against left-handed pitching (ESPN)."

We all know Bradley is a shithead, but I still hate this deal. Silva might be the worst starting pitcher in the majors. I usually say anyone who goes to the NL, but not Silva...he really is that bad. Bradley could help out Seattle, who desperately need some runs producers, and have already had a hell of an offseason (getting Lee, and Figgins). Seattle looks like it will be the team to beat in the AL West.

Giving Milton Bradley 30 Million Dollars Was A Wise Investment

Well Milton Bradley did exactly what he thought he would do with the Cubs after they inked him to an outrageous 3 year, 30 million dollar contract. He is now being sat down for the rest of the season due to his off the field behavior. Bradley apparently just talks shit on the Cubs constantly and the owner said enough is enough. Bradley finishes the season hitting .257 with 12 home runs and 40 RBI which is terrible if you compare him to last years all star campaign with hitting .321 with 22 home runs and 77 RBI.

Milton Bradley To Cubs

Milton Bradley has just signed a 3 year, 30 million dollar deal with Cubs.

This is a god awful signing by the Cubs. Even though he hit 22 HRs and led the AL in on base percentage, I don't trust him at all. Not only is he a huge headcase and locker room distraction, he is terribly injury prone. Until he puts a string of injury free years together, I would never sign him for 10 million a year.

Milton Bradley Goes Nuts... Again

Again Milton Bradley is in the news, and not on the good end. Apparently, Milton tried to go after a radio personality after praising Josh Hamilton and calling Milton a bad person to look up too. He had to get held back from going into the press box. Here are a couple of incidents that Milton has been a part of:
2004: Throws bag of balls onto field after being ejected
2004: Argues with fans after bottle was thrown on field
2005: Accuses Jeff Kent of being racist
2007: Tears ACL during argument with first base ump

I like Milton Bradley, he is just mad all the time and has bi-polar disorder, I feel bad for him, he is leading the league in batting average and having a great season. I think MLB should take him in and give him psychological tests and treatment for his bipolar disorder instead of ostracizing him and calling him crazy.
