Aqib Talib Could Be In Some Trouble (UPDATED)

"Buccaneers CB Aqib Talib is a person of interest in a March 21 Dallas-area domestic altercation in which five gunshots were allegedly fired. He hasn't been arrested and charged yet, but that could happen sometime later this week if police feel Talib was involved. Apparently, as reported by the Dallas Observer , the dispute involved Talib’s sister, his mother and his sister’s boyfriend, and two guns were involved. The police report states that Talib attempted to pistol-whip the boyfriend, who had been in an argument with Talib’s sister, and afterward, Talib fired a few shots from his mother's gun at the boyfriend as he fled the scene on foot (CBS Sports)."

If this is true it's really too bad. Talib is one of the best defensive backs in the NFL, and I don't think he has even reached his prime yet. Every year he has been in the NFL he has upped his total for interceptions, but this isn't the first time Talib has been in trouble either.

He missed the 2010 season opener, because he violated the NFL’s personal conduct policy by throwing a drunken punch at a cab driver and resisting arrest. He also threw a punch at teammate Corey Boyd at the 2008 rookie camp, and hit a teammate in the face with his helmet during mini-camp in 2009.

So, basically it seems Talib might have a tiny bit of an anger problem. We'll keep you posted if they end up pressing charges.

"Police in a Dallas suburb have issued an arrest warrant for Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib accusing him of firing a gun at his sister's boyfriend (ESPN)."

Terrible news for the Buccaneers, this could affect how they draft next month, because at the very least it sounds like Talib will be suspended to start the season (if the Bucs don't just cut him).

Brandon Meriweather Shot Two People? (UPDATED)

Very odd story coming from Florida today...

"According to Deadspin, Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather allegedly shot two men outside a house party in Apopka, Fla., Feb. 27. The incident, which reportedly includes one of the men getting shot in the head, was being reported by the attorney for the two victims, John Morgan.

The report states that a friend of Meriweather allegedly beat up a woman outside the Blue Jeans Lounge, leading to the woman's brother to arrive with his own acquaintance. The story states with the brother proceeded to beat up the New England player's friend in a fight, leading Meriweather to fire a gun at the brother of the woman. The bullet, according to Morgan, grazed the woman's brother in the face, while hitting the other victim in the head.

According to the report, detectives from the Orange County Sheriff's Office have made no arrests, but continue to investigate the case. Former Miami football player, and current Florida sports talk radio host, Dan Sileo first mentioned the shooting (WEEI)."

When I first read this I wrote off that we would never see Meriweather again in a Patriots uniform or in the NFL, but as I have been reading more there are so many holes in this story that it's starting to get hard to believe.

1. When the police station was called they said they had no investigation into Brandon Meriweather.
2. This happened over 10 days ago, there should be an arrest if someone was actually shot in the head.
3. This "lawyer" that broke this whole story to the radio station was just on WEEI and he said he doesn't know if he believes his clients (the 2 people who were shot). Plus, he is just an ambulance chaser, and how do you not back your own client?

Now, saying all of that, we also have to say that this isn't the first time Brandon Meriweather has been in trouble for using a gun. When he was in college (2006) he shot at someone, but was never charged, and it was never proven that he actually hit anyone. So, I wouldn't be all that surprised if this turned out to be true.

I am sure the NFL is going to look into this, but there is so much misinformation out there right now, so be careful what you believe.

"There is an incident," a spokesman for the Sheriff's Department told CBSSports.com. "But we do not have confirmation that [Meriweather] was involved in any shape or form. "There is no such confirmation." The Sheriff's Department did add that a case, involving the shootings in question, "is still active (CBS Sports)."

Also, there have reports that Meriweathers "camp" is denying these allegations.

Vick Upgrading To Killing People?

Initially when this story came out I left it alone. Reports suggested that he had left well before the shooting, so I didn't think much of it. Now there is word that they guy who was shot outside of Vick's birthday is the same guy who ratted him out on the whole killing dogs thing. On top of that a video has come out that has Vick at the party less then 5 mins before the shooting.

I am not saying that Vick shot this guy, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if he had someone to do it for him. I am so sick of writing these stories about this overpaid pieces of shit doing terrible things. I don't know what will come of all this, but hopefully someone shoots Vick, and his brother, because the world would just be a better place without them.

Another Guy Says He Was Shot By Harrison

"A Philadelphia man who claims he was caught in the crossfire during a shooting rampage by Marvin Harrison is suing the former All-Pro wide receiver, saying that a bullet fired by Harrison is still lodged in his back. In the suit, Robert Nixon, 33, claims he saw Harrison shoot at another man with guns in each of his hands on April 29, 2008, and continue to fire when the target fled the scene in his car. He said Harrison "continued shooting at the other person ... as [he] drove past plaintiff. In doing so, a bullet from defendant's handgun struck plaintiff in the back with great force and violence." The seven-count suit alleges assault, battery negligence and reckless misconduct (ESPN)."

WTF!!!!!!! Harrison is apparently the need Easy E (well minus AIDS). It really seems like he want on a rampage, but I do question this story. Why would someone who was shot wait so long to come out and press charges. Seems to me you would want to you'd want the asshole who put a bullet in your back in prison ASAP, but who knows? Never thought I'd be scared of Starvin' Marvin Harrison.

Harrison Accuser Shot Again

"A Philadelphia man who said he was shot by NFL receiver Marvin Harrison last year remains in critical condition after being shot again. Dwight Dixon was found shot multiple times in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia late Tuesday morning. A spokesman at Hahnemann University Hospital said Dixon, 33, remained in critical condition Wednesday. Police have not made an arrest in the case (Sportsline)."

Who would have ever thought that Marvin Harrison would be this type of guy. There is no word as to whether or not he is involved in this one, but last time this guy was shot it was from Harrison's gun, so you have to think Marvin knows something about this. I mean whoever shot him knew who he was, since he was shot 7 TIMES!!!!

By the way...how bad does Dwight Dixon's life suck? What does he have to do to die?
