Mankins To Return To Pats Nov 16th

"Patriots offensive lineman Logan Mankins will report by Nov. 16, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Mankins, a restricted free agent who has been sitting out since the start of spring practices because he's upset about his contract situation, will report on recommendation from the National Football League Players Association, according to several sources. Mortensen says Mankins will report to the Patriots to earn an accrued season and secure unrestricted free agency in 2011 (WEEI)."

I haven't really noticed a lot of offensive line problems for the Patriots this year, but obviously getting a Pro Bowler back never hurts. This is a smart move by Mankins, so that he can become a free agent in 2011.

It is also being reported that Vincent Jackson is going to do the same thing, so if he is a free agent in your fantasy league you may want to jump on him now. The Players Association was the one who urged both of them to report back to their teams by this date.

Moss Is Gone, What Now?

I know, a lot of Moss posts today, but fuck it.

I started to think what the Patriots might do now they Moss is gone. They have a bye week, so there is a good amount of time to pull of another trade. I will caution that most likely the Patriots will do nothing, because that's their thing, but if they were to do something here are some options.

- Vincent Jackson - The Changers holdout was rumored to be going to the Vikings, but now that they are out of the way the Patriots could make a move, and they certainly have the draft picks to do it.

- Steve Smith - The Panthers are going nowhere fast, and he has been a problem for them. I would think he could be sold off for cheap (3rd/4th rounder).

- Lee Evans - Bills aren't going anywhere, and when was the last time Evans did something? Been awhile, but he also hasn't had anyone to throw him the ball. Could buy low here.

Anyways, I just figured there are going to be a shitload of rumors going around over the next week, and I wouldn't be surprised if these 3 names pop up a lot.

Vikings Asking Too Much For Jackson

The Chargers have till 4pm today to trade Vincent Jackson, so that his suspension will drop to 4 games. It doesn't sounds like it is going to happen. The Chargers want a 2011 second- and third-round pick in exchange for Jackson, which to be honest doesn't sounds like too much, but it was enough to scare away the Rams and the Vikings.

Reportedly, Minnesota has reached a deal with Jackson's camp that would pay him $6 million in 2010. The problem is that Minnesota doesn't want to give the package the Chargers want. Instead, they are rumored to want to give up just a second-rounder.

I think a deal will get done, but just not in time to save him from being out the first 6 weeks. We will keep you updated till the 4pm deadline if anything changes.

Vicent Jackson Rumors Heating Up

Vincent Jackson's suspension could go down to 5 games if he is traded by Wednesday. With that in mind, rumors are all over the place. There are a couple that really make sense to me.

The one that seems to make the most sense is the Vikings trading for Jackson. They are need of a replacement with Sidney Rice out for at least 8 weeks, Harvin still dealing with headaches, and Bernard Berrian looking more and more like he is just never going to catch on. The Vikings know this is their last year with Favre, and after they are most likely going to have to start over, so it would make sense to make a deal for a guy who can help them win this year. Jackson could be a huge difference maker.

Other teams that are being rumored are the Seahawks, Browns, Redskins, and Rams.

Vincent Jackson Pleades Guilty To DUI

Vincent Jackson pleaded guilty to a 2009 DUI charge on Monday and received a 4 day jail sentence and 5 years probation. I feel like I say this every time, but this is bullshit. If this was me or you, we would be inn jail for awhile, and this isn't even his first time!!!!

Anyways, Jackson will most likely be suspended a couple games from this, which he should nice he gets off so damn easy. Jackson likely will be a restricted free agent this offseason, unless the NFL and its players can agree to a new contract before March 5, but that ain't happening.

In the long run this doesn't mean very much unless he gets in trouble again. Jackson, and every other rich person that gets a DUI, you have a shit load of money, get someone to drive you...

The Daily DUI

"San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of drunken driving. Jackson failed sobriety tests shortly after 2 a.m. on state Route 52 in San Diego, said California Highway Patrol Officer Ray Scheidnes. He said he didn't know Jackson's blood alcohol level. An officer stopped Jackson after spotting the player braking abruptly, speeding and weaving in a 2008 GMC Sierra, Highway Patrol Officer Brad Baehr said. Jackson was on probation for a previous DUI arrest, he said (ESPN)."

What the fuck is this guy out drinking for? His team just moved on in the playoffs, and this dumbass goes out and drinks to 2am, and on top of it decides driving is a good idea. Want to know why the Chargers won't win it this year? Because their players don't care. That's what LT never really plays in the playoffs, and this team finds a way to have the most talent in the NFL, but never go anywhere. I hate the Chargers to much, and I hope they throw this guy in jail, just for being a fucking moron.
