"Jonathan G. Parker, 19, of Fort Loudoun, Pa., was arraigned Tuesday one count of felony daytime burglary. According to court records, Deputy P.D. Ware of the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department responded on Aug. 28 to the victim's home after she reported the burglary.
"She told police that someone had broken into her home through a bedroom window. There were open cabinets in her garage, and other signs of a burglar. The victim later noticed that the intruder also used her computer to check his Facebook status, and his account was still open when she checked the computer. The victim later noticed that she was missing two diamond rings from her dresser in the same room as her computer. The two rings were worth more than $3,500, reports indicate."
-(Martinsburg Journal)
How dumb can you get? It's dumb enough to spread fingerprints all over a computer, leave a few sites in the browser's history, but who the hell robs a house, finds a pair of nice diamonds worth $3,500, then decides to check Facebook?
Did he write on his girlfriend's wall? "Tammy, we're celebrating tonight, so get a 12 pack of PBR and lube up your cooter."
Why not tag pictures of yourself robbing the house? You could be known as the Facebook bandit.
And of course, this story comes from the South. West Virginia, specifically.

How The Bigs Have Fallen
Yesterday was a day of surprises, upsets, and 4 hour games. UConn, Pitt, Oklahoma AND Kansas all fell yesterday. I'm not going to get into the UConn game because Wilde already took care of that but let me quickly touch on the other games.
74 West Virginia, 60 Pittsburgh
Offensively Pitt did not have it yesterday. Bob Huggins implemented a perfect game plan and with the scoring coming from Da'Sean Butler (16), Devin Ebanks (20), and Alex Ruoff (18), Pittsburgh didn't know how to respond. After West Virginia was able to get Blair into foul trouble this team didn't know how to step up. This makes me scared come tournament time, because the Panther rely to heavily on Blair and in the three games Blair has fouled out this year, Pitt is 0-3.
71 Oklahoma State, 70 Oklahoma
Big game James Anderson won the game on 2 free throws with 2.3 seconds to upend the overrated Sooners. Blake Griffen had a big game with 17 points and 19 rebounds, however, he was the one that fouled Anderson while tussling for a rebound. With this loss Oklahoma lost a chance to be a number 1 seed and possibly a number 2 seed in the impending tournament. Oklahoma is scaring me a lot with this late collapse, and will be very difficult to judge coming up.
71 Baylor, 64 Kansas
LaceDarius Dunn. Dunn is the reason for this upset as he dropped 24 points by drilling 6 3 pointers.

The End Of The Pat White Era

The Mountaineers of West Virginia may have had an off year, but I am writing this post in honor of Pat White. The 31-30 victory over North Carolina was his final game as college QB and he had 332 yards and 3 TDs and won his 4th consecutive bowl game. He has been a terrific college QB and unfortunately this will be the last time he is under center. I would love to see him be a quarterback in the next level, but like most running quarterbacks their talent never goes over to the NFL. I believe someone will take a chance on him, but he will be like Troy Smith.

17 Colorado, 14 (21) West Virginia
What a year makes for the Big East and the West Virginia Mountaineers. First they lose to a ECU then they lose to Colorado in overtime yesterday. Pat White who I thought would easily be able to beat teams on his own without Steve Slaton or Coach Rich Rodriguez keeps proving me wrong time after time. Pat only threw for 43 yards yesterday. This game should not even reached overtime but thanks to a good Buffalo's defense and a Aric Goodman 25 yard field goal another upset happened. This goes to solidify the Big East as the worst major conference in college football this year. Bring on the SEC Madness.

Monday College Football Talk
24 Eastern Carolina, 3 West Virginia
You let me down Pat White.

Eastern Carolina was able to control Pat White and the West Virginia Mountaineers all game and that is why they came out victorious and are going to be ranked next week. Eastern Carolina's quarterback Patrick Pinkney was incredible as he was 22/28 for 236 yards and 1 TD as he took all momentum from West Virginia. Patrick White threw for 72 yards and ran for 92 more and had 0 TDs, which is odd because he just came off a 5 TD performance.
