This Is Going To Be Awesome...

Shaquille O'Neal may have retired as a player, but that doesn't mean he won't be visible this upcoming season. There is a report that Shaq plans to work for TNT.

Shaq will join Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and most importantly Charles Barkley. Sorry there is no way this is going to fail. Barkley is already the most entertaining "host" in the NBA and Shaq will only make it that much better. The one liners, and absurd comments out of these two are going to be unreal. Finally a reason to root for a full NBA season (sorry, but you have to admit the Celtics would be may better off playing 1/2 season).

Got To Love Charles Barkley

We already heard Barkley go off on the Heat and call them cry babies, now he is after their fans...

"NBA legend Charles Barkley continues to hog the spotlight with his inflammatory words and actions. The TNT analyst gave taunting Miami fans a double-middle-finger salute Sunday, and then he offered this comeback: "They were telling me I suck. They were telling me I never won a championship. Like, 'Come on, give me something better than that, dude.' I always laugh at that statement, 'You didn't get a ring.' I'm like, 'Dude, you work at McDonald's. My life's a lot better than yours. You relax (WEEI).' "

HAHA, a very arrogant thing to say, but it's also true. Say what you want, but everything he says is usually the truth. Maimi fans suck, they are a bunch of bandwagon fans that can't even show up to the game on time. I have said it before and I'll say it again, "Please God, don't let the Heat win it all". It really would be more depressing then watching the Celtics get knocked out. I can't sit there and watch LeBitch make a victory speech.

Charles Barkley Has Something To Say

"I was mad at the players, to be honest with you," Barkley said Tuesday on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000. "I think it was inappropriate and wrong to question a guy's heart. Now reporters, they're going to do what they want to. They're entitled to their opinion. But as players, I don't think it's appropriate to question another guy's heart.

"That crosses the line, because you don't know. If you go back and start looking at all the stuff that's been said, and clearly one of the more vocal critics was Maurice Jones-Drew, and then you find out he missed the last two games with a bad knee. And he was really the first guy who crucified Jay. You have to be careful, because in the two most important games of the year, he sat out with a bad knee. And then it really makes him look like an idiot now."

I agree with Charles 100%. I think the talk about Jay Cutler's heart or lack of should be talked about from the media, fans and former players, but for current players to sell out their peers is kind of bullshit. And the biggest puss move for the players like Maurice Jones-Drew and others have are "the taken out of context" excuse. Jones-Drew said, " "Hey I think the urban meyer rule is effect right now... When the going gets tough........QUIT." I would have had much more respect for Jones-Drew if he stood by his comments.

I'm not a big fan of athletes tweeting, and especially tweeting negative things because they are in the safety of their own homes. If I were a coach I would ban it completely.

Barkley Will Do Time

Chalres Barkley is going to be facing some jail time....about 5-10 days. Sportingnews.com reports that it will be 5 days if he decides to take alcoholic classes in an attempt to change his ways.

I love this man, and i hope he beats up the biggest guy in there on his first day and leaves later that week.

I hope he comes out with so much street cred its ridiculous.

I hope he comes back to TNT and punches Van Gundy in his throat for seemingly no reason besides annoying me every national broadcast.

But most of all, I hope he changes absolutely nothing about himself.

Charles Barkley To Return

"Charles Barkley will return to the TNT network as an NBA analyst soon after its airing of the All-Star Game on Sunday, the Sports Business Journal has reported (ESPN)."

Good, I have missed this guy. Barkley cracks me up, and I like his say anything attitude, and he doesn't just say things to get people going, he genuinely believes everything he says. Even the way he got arrested as awesome, he was basically was just telling the cop the truth. It'll be good to have you back Sir Charles.

Who Wouldn't Get A DUI For A Potential BJ?

I wasn't going to write anything more for tonight and let New Years run its course, however, this was too good to pass up:
According to the officer who wrote the report, "He told me that he ran the stop sign because he was in a hurry to pick up the girl I saw get in the passenger seat."

The officer continues: "He asked me to admit that she was 'hot.' He asked me, 'You want the truth?' When I told him I did he said, 'I was gonna drive around the corner and get a b**w job. He then explained that she had given him a 'b**w job' one week earlier and said it was the best one he had ever had in his life."

The report says when Barkley was taken to the station, he told one of the employees, "I'll tattoo my name on your ass" if he helped "get him out of the DUI." According to the report, "He laughed and then quickly corrected himself and said, 'I'll tattoo your name on my ass' and then laughed again."

The report also says officers "found a handgun in the vehicle" which was immediately impounded. The report doesn't say if the handgun was legal or not, and the only thing that we know for sure was loaded...

I mean c'mon america, you have to let this guy off the hook. He was at least honest. At least he took the whole situation very seriously also.

Barkley Gets DUI

TMZ:Barkley was arrested by the Gilbert Police Department at a DUI checkpoint and had his blood tested on scene by a mobile DUI task force. He was released a short time later and took a taxi home.

I love Charles Barkley but he is going to take a lot of shit for this. no only is the former great/ outspoken basketball personality in trouble with gambling, but this puts the icing on the cake. Many players get bothered by how much he comments about them, now they have plenty of ammo to fire back if need be.
