Eddie House Joins The Nazi Party, I Mean The Miami Heat

"Former Celtics guard Eddie House has reached an agreement to join the revamped Heat lineup, House's agent Mark Bartelstein told Yahoo! Sports. House was traded from the C's to the Knicks for Nate Robinson last season. Bartelstein said this week that he had talked to the Celtics about the possibility of the 10-year veteran returning to Boston, but the sharpshooter will take his talents to Miami instead, agreeing to a two-year deal worth a reported $2.8 million (WEEI)."

I am a little pissed about this just because I do like Eddie House, even though I didn't really want him back on the Celtics. Now I have to hate him. I hate everyone involved with the Miami Heat.

As for the Celtics, I don't think affects them very much. I agree with DP that their best option is probably Delonte West once he is cut from the Timberwolves. He is a good shooter, can play some defense, and oh yea he porked LeFag's mom. All of that adds up so someone we need on the Celtics.

Celtics To Bring back House

The Celtics have talked about bringing back Eddie House for the veteran minimum this year.

I don't know if I'm the biggest fan of this. We already have Nate and bringing back Eddie could disrupt Nate from being a legitimate 6th man candidate. Eddie is also an undersized guard that is a spot up shooter. he can't really dribble, he can't really defend, he's only good for a streaky shooter. I don't really understand this move, but hey, we need bodies I guess.

The Latest On Nate Robinson To The Celtics (UPDATED)

Sources say the Knicks have reached a tentative agreement on a deal with Boston sending Nate Robinson and a second player to the Celtics for Eddie House, J.R. Giddens and Bill Walker. As of right now we have no idea who the 2nd player from the Knicks will be. Hopefully they just get this deal done already, because I am really sick of reading about it.

I have written this article like 4 times now, so here are the cliff notes.

- I am not a Robinson fan, which apparently makes me a racist.

- I think it is a good trade.

- I will miss Eddie House.

- Robinson can handle the ball, which the Celtics badly need on that 2nd unit.

- I think the Celtics needed to do more.

***UPDATE***

Deal is done it is Robinson and Marcus Landry for Giddens, House, and Walker.

Eddie House Injury Update

"Eddie House re-joined the Celtics in Atlanta and will be available for Friday night's game against the Hawks. House missed a 112-106 overtime victory over Miami Wednesday with flu symptoms, according to the Celtics. But House said he had a stomach virus, and not the flu, at this morning's shootaround at Georgia Tech (Boston.com)."

Good news for the Celtics as their bench gets stronger with House back. I feel a little bit better with House bringing up the ball then Tony Allen, not by much, but I do think he has a little better ball control. Anyways, he should be on the court tonight...

Eddie House And Son To Appear On Cartoon Network

Boston Celtics [team stats] guard Eddie House and his 9-year-old son, Jaelen, will star in “My Dad’s a Pro,” a live-action Cartoon Network day-in-the-life series that debuts Wednesday.

The Houses, who live in Arizona during the offseason, will appear in 4-minute episodes over 10 weeks that were shot during the past two hoop seasons from the perspective of Dad’s biggest little fan.more

This seems a little ridiculous, but good for Eddie I guess. I don't know what else to write about this.

Daniels To Back-up Rondo?

Recently in a John Hollinger Chat On ESPN he answered a couple of questions regarding the Celtics, however, one question and answer stuck out in my mind.

Q. Who should the celts sign as back up PG?

JH: They already have a deal with their guy, Marquis Daniels, they just haven’t inked yet because they’re desperately trying to make it a sign and trade. Daniels will play with House in the backcourt with the second unit and they’ll trade assignments on D.

I don’t know if Daniels is best used as a 1, rather than a back-up to Pierce. Daniels has the handling of a one, but he isn’t a true point guard. Plus I would hate to waste his height there. There isn’t much difference mentally between him and Eddie House when it comes to playing the 1. He would be a shoot first, pass second player. So what is the solution? Either we sign some scrub point guard to waste a roster space, or we go internally and keep Eddie House at point or see what Lester Hudson can do. I don’t have a reason to really have this much faith in this kid, but I really think he can hold down the back-up point roll. Either way, I really think this is a situation that people are looking to deep into. When the Celtics won it all Eddie did just fine as the back-up, sure we tinkered with Sam Cassell (and that experiment failed miserably), but at the end of the day the Celtics won the chip with Eddie as the back-up.

Its, been a while but heres some shit Ive been thinking bout....

-First off, I can't help but just come out and say it...the steroid era has turned my favorite sport into nothing more than another WWE. The integrity of the game has been compensated to the point were I find myself having little interest in it, which is heart breaking when you look back and realize that your hole baseball watching life has been a sham because of greedy fucks trying to make an extra buck playing a childs game. Have of the players on this list I was not surprised about...come on Nomar gained fucking 30 pounds of muscle in one off season and in turn ruined his career because of it. But, at this point looking back I and not very surprised that Ortiz is named, the guy sucked ball sack before he came to Boston. Nixon was very surprising despite the fact he only really produced a few seasons 20+ home run seasons, Derek Lowe...man something had to give considering how shockingly durable he has been throughout his career. All I can really come to a conclusion on is the Selig must go much like the head of the players association has.

-Next point, looking back on past success of championship teams and seasons one thing has become evident, no team will win on what they start out with at the beginning of the season. Much like the pitching and batting approaches of players on a regular basis, teams must make changes to enhance their clubs throughout the course of the season. With this being said, the Red Sox need to make some moves to better themselves for the playoff run. Rumors of Garrett Atkins and Yunel Escobar being available have drawn my interest more than the names of Johnson, Holliday, and the other names being dangled out there. Atkins has been less than spectacular this year but that comes as good news for teams looking for a bat with pop for far less value than he had last year, plus this guy reminds me of Jason Bay a shut up and get to work player who is great in the club house...Lowell isn't A-Rod so the its very unlikely his hip will sustain itself the rest of the way. Now Escobar, regardless of what Nick Green has done he is not a starting short stop, and Jed Lowrie is just an over glorified utility man. Escobar is a great defensive shortstop that has a quality offensive game to go with it, to be quite honest other than Buchholtz I dont think anyone else on the farm is or should be untouchable. The Red Sox have strength in that they can develop great quality pitching, but they lack the ability to produce productive everyday players(despite Dusty, Youk, Elsburry). I don't know what the deal is but at some point these first round picks they make have got to produce corner stones players at the shortstop or third base position.

-Finally, while baseball has sucked every faith I have in it out of me the NBA has reemerged as the most enjoyable sporting events to watch other than the Pats making the NFL their bitches for the past decade. The C's have started to realize that you can't be successful for the same group year in and year out which draws my interest on what they will do to remold and hopefully improve their team for the up coming season. One thing is for sure is that Eddie Fucking House will be back for another year where he takes more shots than minuets he plays in a season. Sure, last year he proved to be some what valuable with all the injuries that took place on the roster but how is he in any way what they need in a back up point guard. Call me crazy, but isnt a point guard supposed to make those around him better like Rondo does? Isnt he supposed to be able to run an offense and keep the other teams guard in check? Danny Ainge has done some great things in Boston, but has also done some very questionable things as well(Gerald Green droping from top ten to 19 draft raises questions just by how it happened, Eddie House getting a player option). Did anyone for one second believe that House wasnt going to pick up this option? Come on can any of you actually say to yourselves that he was going to get more money than what he has already been offered. All I know is that if this in any way hinders the teams possibilities to resign Marbury we will all be looking back and shacking our heads when Starbury fully regains his swagger and averages 10+ points, 5+ assists a game for a championship caliber team.

Eddie House To Stay

"It was a tough decision," Bartelstein said. "We went back and forth the last couple of weeks. But, when it was all said and done, Eddie loved his time in Boston, he feels like he is on a championship contender, he really enjoys playing with his teammates and playing for Doc (Rivers), and the fans have been great to him."

I was kinda hoping he would opt out so the Celtics would have an extra 2.86 million to play with this off season. Eddie House is a one trick pony, and even though he was the only scoring option for much of this season, he is very hot and cold. At the end of the day, Eddie House made the best decision for Eddie House. He couldn't of got more than 2.86 million in free agency.

House To Test Market?

"Eddie House has until today to pick up the option on his contract, which would pay the Celtics [team stats] guard approximately $2.9 million next season, but last night he still hadn’t reached a decision. “We’re prepared for whatever he decides,” Celts general manager Danny Ainge said. House’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, said: “We’re kicking some things back and forth. We just haven’t made a decision on it yet.” Bartelstein recently told the Herald that House wants to remain in Green, but the guard has “outperformed his contract (Boston Herald).”

I really think it would stupid for House not to take the $2.9 million. Sure is a solid player off the bench, but that's about it. He is very hot and cold, and he is replaceable. Don't get me wrong House is one of my favorites, but if he thinks he is worth like 4-5 million he is being just fucking silly.

A Few Thoughts...

Recently I have had a tough time to sit down and come up with logical explanations for the crazy shit that has happened this year in the sporting world. So Im going to do what I generally do and wing it.

-First off I want to make it known that Eddie House is terrible, I dont care if you think differently and I will tell you why. 1, what possition can he defend? He can't guard any point guard, and he can't guard a shooting guard that has 3 of 4 inches on him. He is incapable of running an offence, or a single offensive play other than huck up a three from anywhere. He is one of the most inconsitant shooters that I have watched in a long time. And the main reason why he sucks is because he doesn't make anyone he plays with better, the guy is a liability on the court and Im probably the only one that see's this.

-Second, Im sick of hearing Scott Boras's name. This guy will single handedly lead to the next labor strike in the game. Point is that non of these guys deserve to be making 20 million dollars a year to play a fucking sport. And as for Jason Fucking Veritek, fuck him let him go and get someone that will be productive in a platoon system until somebody is ready to take over full time.

-This has been nagging at me for almost 2 years now. I love KG, but when the fuck is he going to take over a game and score 35 points or more with 10 or more rebounds like he did with the shity Wolves. Ya, they have a 7 or 8 win streak going, but for what its worth the loosing streak was the fact that nobody wanted to step up and be the leader and win a game or two(the goes to the rest of the BIG 3 not just KG). Right not Ray Ray is far and away the best and most consistant performer on the C's. As for the comments by Gary Payton, I agree with him, KG shouldnt be starting mainly because Bosh has had better year on a shitty team compared to what KG has been doing.

-Fuck the Yankees and this 400+ million dollar spending spree in a time of economic shittiness. The best part about this is that they still are not the best team in their division. They are set up to fail and they will because of Alex Rodrigez. Great player, shitty teamate, and a punk bitch in all regards of life.

Celtics 102 Bucks 97

A win, is a win, is a win, but the Celtics can't feel too good about themselves after this game. Boston had control of this game all the way till the 4th quarter, then they decided that playing defense isn't a good idea, and the Bucks came back, out scoring the Celtics 34-22. It was all about hustle, the Bucks just wanted it more in the 4th quarter. Even the energizer bunny Kevin Garnett looked sluggish, as he was not playing "help defense" like he usually does. There was one play when Ray Allen was burned, and Garnett (for the first time I that have ever seen) made no attempt to attack the basketball. Yes, he was in some foul trouble, but he usually at least contests the shot. In overtime, the Celtics talent, and age, is what got them the victory. Paul Pierce was once again awesome, and really looked like by far the best player on the court for most of them game (28 pts 7 rebs 6 asts). We are only 11 games in, but he is up there (in my mind) for MVP of the NBA.

The Celtics are now 9-2, but they have some things to worry about...

1. The Celtics haven't played well in a while, the good news is that they are still winning, and it's a long season, but do they have a hangover from last year?

2. As DP stated before, they need another PG. House is more of a SG, and is only good when he is hot. He is also a player that is going to keep taking shots as long as he is in the game. He can be great for comebacks, but can also cause a comeback from the team they are facing.

3. Can the Tony Allen love fest please stop? In his last 4 games, he has 5 points... total!!! Sorry, that's not going to cut it. I have been hearing for years, how this guy is going to get it going, but I am sorry, if he wants to prove me wrong he needs to be more consistent.

I know the Celtics can play better, but you do have to be encourage that they are still winning despite all these troubles. We are only 11 games into the season, and I am sure Doc & Co have a play to fix this by the end of the season.

Celtics Preseason Update

Since Im here in NJ, last night i was privileged to watch the Celtics take on the Nets. Obviously preseason doesn't matter too much, but honestly i love watching it. The three wise men featured above didn't play a second, but that's cool. Preseason ball gives us a chance to watch the guys that are fighting for playing time in the regular season give it all they've got. It was also extremely refreshing to see Rajon in action again....ya know, this guy

I do have a few notes though. Tony Allen continues to make the case that THIS will be the year he breaks out and turns heads in the NBA. He dropped 32 in 11-18 shooting and at one point in the first quarter i watched him take a shot in 5 consecutive possessions-fucking right, get yours Tony. DP has told me many a time this guy is gonna be a star, and this year we are gonna need people to step up that didn't necessarily have to last year since we lost James "Jesus Christ" Posey and PJ Brown. I believe Tony and Leon are ready for the challenge.

Eddie House was sharp shooting last night also, silky hitting 5-7 from beyond. He was either feelin it or just making sure the other former Net Scal didn't shoot better than him. (Scalabrine was 3-7 respectfully from the arc) Gotta love that big red bastard.

Clearly nothing too exciting to write about--I'm just really excited to see the Celtics and company again.

by the way the Celtics won 111-108 jumping to 4-1 in the preseason.

Eddie and Tony hanging around

Today it was announced that Eddie House and Tony Allen have both been signed to 2 year deals with the Celtics.

Fucking right. While Gabe Pruitt is coming along, the C's need Eddie and Tony off the bench. They both play their roles well; Eddie being able to drop those clutch shots, and Tony with his consistent defensive ability. DP has been reppin Tony Allen for a couple of years now, and i think this year will be a break out year for him. These two guys were intricate pieces of the championships squad and i couldnt be happier to see them locked up for a couple more years.

In Danny Ainge we Trust

Posey and House Updates

From ESPN, "James Posey, the Celtics' highest-priority unsigned veteran, is seeking a four-year contract, an NBA source said yesterday.

Posey, 31, is treating negotiations as if this could be his final contract and has been in talks with Detroit, the Lakers, New Orleans, Cleveland, and Washington. No team has been willing to offer a deal beyond three years."

and Eddie House
While prized free agent James Posey's situation remains unresolved, it looks as though Eddie House may have one foot out the Celtics door.

"Eddie's not going to sign for one year at the minimum," his agent, Mark Bartelstein, said yesterday. "There's no chance of that. He's got two or three offers on the table right now for more than that."

"I don't think people put the proper value on Eddie House," Bartelstein said. "Because he's not manufactured to specifications as a 1 or a 2, everyone in the business tends to overanalyze things. Eddie doesn't fit the preferred specifications. All he does is help win games." -- Boston Herald

I don't believe James Posey really deserves a four year deal, but we need to do, what we need to do to get him back. If we let him go then we let someone that can guard Chauncey Billups to Lebron James to Kobe Bryant go, that just is too much to give up.

I don't believe Eddie house back due to the fact we wont be able to sign him without dipping into our Mid Level Exception that we need to sign Posey. As much as I love Eddie, I just don't see him wearing green next year.
