A Truly Sad Story

A high school football star who had been signed to play at Vanderbilt University was shot to death Thursday by his mother's ex-boyfriend. He was only 18 years old. What a chicken shit way to do things, and it seems to be happening more. Someone decides they don't want to live anymore, and decide to take someone with them. It is like that plane crash in Texas where the guy burned down his house, then ran his plane into a building, just because the IRS was going to audit him.

The full story hasn't come out, but this kid had a very bright future for himself, and it is too bad some selfish asshole had to ruin it.

Spikes Futher Suspenses Himself

" GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- With all the negative attention "weighing heavy on his heart," Florida linebacker Brandon Spikes asked to serve a full-game suspension for apparently trying to gouge the eyes of a Georgia running back.

Coach Urban Meyer obliged, saying Wednesday that it was in the top-ranked Gators' best interest that Spikes sit out Saturday's game against Vanderbilt.

"I really don't want to be a distraction to the team," Spikes said after practice. "I want the guys to prepare without any negative things going on, and I feel like if I would play, it would be a big thing going on. I'm just trying to stay out of the way and just motivate the guys." "

This is stupid. As a Gator fan and a football fan this is stupid. Way to act soft Spikes...do something hard and then act like a soft wussy. Play the game, play the game tough and don't regret poking at someones eye. Poking eyes in pile-ups goes all the way back to the days of pee wee. Do what you have to do to win, take your half game suspension and move on...its not like you pulled an Albert Haynesworth and stomped his head out with your cleat.


The #1 Gators are facing off against a 2-7 Vanderbuilt team. Spikes will not be missed and Florida will win by 50. Count on it.

(10)Georgia vs (22) Vanderbilt

Georgia is a better team and I hate Vandy. Moreno and Stafford are due for a big game and Georgia needs to win this game if they ever want to be talked in National Title talks again. Their defense is good enough to stop the Vandy rushing attack. Watch for AJ Green to have a huge game.

After a huge loss against Oklahoma State, Mizzou is going to pissed and the Video game offense is going to knock out the number 1 team in the country again. Colt McCoy is going to be able to throw all over Mizzou's secondary, however this is going to be a game of points.

This game should be focused on two players Michigan States Javon Ringer and Ohio States Terrell Pryor. Unfortunately for Ohio State, I am really high on Michigan State and Ringer so they are going to win a tough fought battle.

Sam Bradford and Oklahoma are going to come into this game pissed and believe it carries into the game. Even though Oklahoma's secondary is sometimes suspect, I believe the will keep Kansas' Todd Reesing in check.

College Football Recap

There was only two real upsets on the day:

Vanderbilt 14, Auburn 13
Dp was wrong and I'll be honest I didn't see this one coming. Vandy is not 5-0 for the first time since 1943. Auburn's offense finally came back to haunt them as their passing game was some of the worst I have ever seen (a total of 98 yards). Auburn was in control of this game till the 3rd quarter, when Adams was able to get them into the endzone. Still, I'm sorry I can't take Vandy seriously. I know they are playing awesome, but this bubble will bust. I swear to you.

Pittsburgh 26, #10 South Florida 21
South Florida just chokes every time they are in the top 10. Tonight they did it again. LeSean McCoy was just awesome for Pitt as he ran for 142 yards and 2 TDs, oh yea by the way he is only a sophomore. I think South Florida will do the same thing they did last year, drop out of the top 25 picture with a couple of losses. Sorry, it's not your time.
