RIP Ryan Dunn

"Jackass" star Ryan Dunn died this morning in a car crash in Pennsylvania, reports TMZ. He had just turned 34 on June 11th.

The site says "Dunn and an unidentified person both died in the crash which happened around 3 a.m. at Route 322 and New Street in West Goshen Township. It's unclear who was driving the car. We're told the car caught fire in the crash -- and hours later, a tow truck was called to the scene to remove the charred wreckage."

Dunn, who appeared in both the "Jackass" TV show and movies, had posted a photo of himself drinking with friends on Twitter just hours before his death (ComingSoon.net)."

Sad news, he was one of my favorites on that show. I am actually surprised more that that cast hasn't died yet, and if we were doing a pool on who would get it first this guy wouldn't be anywhere near the top. Jackass was amazing, sure as it went on it kinda got sad that they were still doing it, but no one can say they didn't enjoy that show in it's heyday.

The pic above is the one he tweeted just hours before the deadly crash.

Why Not?

Why not see why seat belts are usually a good idea?

Lucky bastard.

Breaking News: Tom Brady Involved In Car Accident (Updated)

"Sources have told the Dennis & Callahan Show that Tom Brady was involved in a car accident on the corner of Commonwealth and Gloucester in Boston Thursday morning. According to the report Brady was "shaken" and it was believed that the jaws of life were used in the accident and that a pole was down at the scene. An Audi with New Jersey plates and a Ford min-van were thought to be involved. Another source reported that the quarterback had gone to Brigham and Women's Hospital (WEEI)."

We don't know how serious this is yet, but obviously terrible news this close to week 1. If the Patriots lose Tom Brady for even a couple games they could be out of the playoff hunt real quick. We will keep you updated as we hear more.

***UPDATE***

There are rumors going around that Brady is fine, just a little shaken up, and that it was the person in the mini van that had to go to the hospital. These, once again, are just rumors, so when we get information from a credible source we'll let you know.

***UPDATE 2***

WEEI is reporting that Brady did not go to the hospital, walked away from the scene and was reportedly on his way to work at Gillette Stadium. So, this doesn't seem like anything that would affect him playing this weekend.

Kiffin Loves To Shit In The Apple Pie

So, now we are all reading about how Kiffin crashed a car while in Tenn, and there was no police reported filed. A tad fishy, but honestly at this point is anyone shocked? This is the same guy who started a shit storm with the Raiders (Don't blame him in the least for), then went to the SEC called out Florida and a bunch of other teams, had a decent year, and then jumped ship to USC.

Do I like his boldness? Sure, but this is all going to come back and bite him in the ass. USC is going to lose some scholarships, since they have been playing players for years. Once that happens and USC starts to falter their fans are going to blame the new coach...Kiffin. He'll be fired, and then what happens?

Well he has to be black listed at this point. I mean would you hire him? He has shown he will jump ship for any job that seems better. He has not once backed up his words, so what the fuck has he actually done? Anyways, I am ranting, when we should actually just all sit back and enjoy this amazing video...

Runaway Lane....never coming back. He really did't have a chance against Saban and Meyer.

Police Want Tiger Woods' Hospital Report

"The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking a search warrant for hospital records that would document the treatment Tiger Woods received after an auto accident early Saturday morning, TMZ.com has reported, citing unnamed sources. The Florida state police, according to the Web site's report, want to determine if the injuries Woods sustained resembled those from an auto accident or domestic violence. The state police think they can show probable cause of a crime during the events that unfolded Saturday morning, the report said (ESPN)."

Woods seems like a really good guy, so I don't want to make false accusations, but this whole this seems really strange. My guess, since there didn't seem to be alcohol involved was that Tiger and his wife got in a fight, and he sped off frantically, crashed his car. That would explain why he is trying to keep everything private. I think Tiger should just come out and say what happened, because eventually the media is going to find out, and even if they don't they will just keep making up stories. Obviously, we'll keep you posted.

Here is a ESPN's take:

Ex-Patriots John Stephens Dead at 43

"John M. Stephens, the 1988 Offensive Rookie of the Year for the New England Patriots, has been killed after his pickup truck ran off a highway and struck some trees, authorities said Wednesday. Stephens, 43, apparently lost control of his vehicle on a rural stretch of Louisiana Highway 169 near Shreveport on Tuesday evening, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's office said. Stephens wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was thrown after the truck hit some trees head-on, sheriff's spokeswoman Cindy Chadwick said in a statement. The statement said Stephens apparently was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the single-vehicle accident.

"It appeared Stephens lost control and tried to overcorrect his steering, causing him to cross back over the road and hit the trees," the sheriff's office added. No one else was injured in the crash (Sportsline)."

I do not really remember this guy, then again I was 4 years old when he was playing, so I can't feel too bad. Really sucks that he died so young, but it seems like it was his fault since he was speeding, and not wearing a seatbelt.

Stephens, selected 17th in the 1988 NFL Draft, played six NFL seasons, reaching the Pro-Bowl as a rookie when he ran for 1,168 yards. He played for the Patriots until 1992, then spent time with Green Bay, Atlanta and Kansas City before retiring with 3,440 career yards and 18 touchdowns.
