Ochocinco Shows Up To Camp

"Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco reported to organized team activities Tuesday and is expected to be on the practice field. Ochocinco took an all-night flight from Los Angeles to Cincinnati to arrive. He also took a physical Tuesday morning. Tuesday's OTA is closed to the media (ESPN)."

We all know what is coming now...he will smooth things over with his teammates, ESPN will run some fucking stupid story about how he has changed and his teammates love him, they will start losing and then he will flip out again. Ochocinco sucks, but I do think he will have a better year then last season when he had 53 receptions for 540 yards and 4 touchdowns.

One thing that bothered me about this story (other then it being about Chad "Ochocinco" is the way the media makes it sound like he went through hell to get to camp. "Ochocinco took an all-night flight from Los Angeles to Cincinnati to arrive"....really it takes about 4 hours, he isn't flying to China. Anyways, fuck Ochocinco and the Bengals.

Palmer Is Sick Of Ochocinco

Just like the rest of us Palmer has had enough of Ochocinco. Palmer is somewhat of a classy guy, so he is not going to call him out, but you can read between the lines...

"It's definitely a new look for the Bengals receiver corps but I couldn't be happier with the guys we've got," Palmer said Tuesday during the Sirius NFL Radio "Movin' The Chains" show, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. "T.J. [Houshmandzadeh's]" gone and Chad's pretty much gone, he hasn't been here, so we've got guys that want those two spots, guys that compete day in and day out, when we're out there on the field, running, conditioning and in the weight room lifting. They're guys that want to take over for those two spots. They look every bit capable of doing what we're going to ask them to do (ESPN)."

Palmer goes on to say he has not talked to the disgruntled WR, and doesn't know anyone who has. The Bengals have been terrible, and I can understand why Palmer would be pissed that their best WR is not showing up to camp. The Bengals need to find a way to get rid of him. he is not worth the headache, and the Bengals are never going to change the culture of their team unless they get rid of these types of players.

Man Ocho Cinco Is Dumb

"The NFL had agreed to let the player formerly known as Chad Johnson wear his new name on the back of his jersey this season. There's one catch for the receiver: It's not exactly how he wanted it. Instead of Ocho Cinco, he'll be Ochocinco. The league has agreed to let him wear his new name this year, but it will be rendered as "Ochocinco" because that's how he wrote it when he submitted his name-change form in Florida (Sportsline)."

Wow this guy is fucking dumb. First changing you name to your jersey number is fucking stupid, but he somehow found a way to make it worse. He wrote the name in wrong on the form, so it is one work (Ochocinco). HAHAHA, it is going to look hilarious. I fucking hate this guy now, he won't shut up, he is 1/2 the player he used to be, and just another classic example of a WR who's mouth got bigger then his skills.

Giants Out Of Edwards Trade Talks

"A source close to the Giants tells me the club is out of the Braylon Edwards talks because the price was too steep. A week ago, it looked like it would happen. Now, it doesn't, with the team committed to finding Plaxico Burress' replacement in the draft. The Giants talked about Anquan Boldin, too, but those talks are dead, too, according to the source. The Giants must find an outside receiver in the draft because, as one source said, "they don't have a No. 1 or No. 2 receiver. They're all threes and fours (Sportsline)."

Oddly enough I am disappointed by this. I hate the Giants, but I also hate Braylon, and I love when players I hate go to teams I hate. Sounds odd...but in my sick mind it makes sense. Anyways, this report is 100% right that the Giants HAVE TO do something about their current WR situation. My thinking is that they should go after Ocho Cinco. I know he is a pain in the ass, but Coughlin can hold him together for a season, and if he is they can cut him. You would think a 2nd or 3rd round pick could be good enough to land him, and that is obviously worth it for the Giants current situation....Otherwise the Giants are going to have to draft a WR, and most of the time it takes a year or two at least to develop one.

Chad Ocho Cinco Rumors

Even though most people think Cincy will not get a lot if they try to trade Ocho Cinco, the Bengals might do it anyways. The Raiders seem to have taken an interest, and how perfect is that? They love disgruntled overrated players, so he'd fit right in. The Jets are another possibility, and some people think the Giants could be in the hunt too. The Giants one doesn't make a lot of sense to me to me since they just got rid of a distraction (Plaxico), why take on another one? Plus I don't see Tom Coughlin dealing with all of this guys shit. In the end I think Cincy will hold on to him, but if I was them I would trade this guy for a footballs...or anything just to get him off my team.

No Bonus for Ocho Cinco

Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson is about to miss out on a large sum of money. The 5 time pro-bowler will not be receiving his $250,000 bonus by skipping out on this year's offseason program. This is the second season in a row that Johnson has failed to show up for such workouts. Chad is coming off one of his worst seasons as a pro, and his unwillingness to show, giving up the large bonus, just proves that he is even more increasingly unhappy with his current situation with the Bengals.

I guess he doesn't probably really need the money, but is a lot to give up on. I'm sure everyones had just about enough of this guy by now. I honestly hope he goes somewhere else via trade or is cut by the team but that probably won't happen and my gut tells me he'll have another mediocre season while causing even more problems in Cincinnati. The guy is obviously a cancer to the team, and if the Bengals had any brass they would drop him.

Ocho Cinco Being Ocho Cinco

"Bengals receiver Chad Ocho Cinco was absent from the start of the team's offseason program Monday, quarterback Carson Palmer said (ESPN)."

No real surprise here. Ocho Cinco always puts himself before his team. He did this last year, because he wanted to be traded, and I am going to say this is probably for the same reason. The Bengals would love to trade him, but he is coming off the worst year of his career, and no one is going to give up much (or anything) for Chad. Ocho Cinco is just another in a long line of aging recievers whose mouth become bigger then what they are worth. Bengals should just cut him and move on. He is not worth the headache, and we all know he isn't going to shut the fuck up.

Ocho Cinco Not Playing Tonight

The Bengals season keeps getting worse. Today, Chad Ocho Cinco was deactivated for violating team rules. The Bengals have not come out and stated what Chad did, but they are sticking with their story that he will not play tonight against the Steelers. In the long run it really doesn't matter, because the Bengals season ended before it even started. Chad has been a headache all season, and I am sure Marvin Lewis has nightmares about this guy, because he is one of the main contributors to his failures as a coach. I think Lewis is going to be fired at the end of the year. It really is a shame, because I really thought he was one of the better coaches in the NFL, but these "deactivations" are too little too late. This team has been running wild for too long, and even as they finally come down on one of their players, look who is taking his spot...Chris Henry...Wow.

Chad Javon Ocho Cinco

Apparently, Cincinnati Bengals star wide out Chad Johnson LEGALLY has changed his name to Chad Javon Ocho Cinco.

Yeah, I really don't have much to say about this except that this isn't really that surprising or shocking. Chad, you're a good receiver and sometimes you can be funny, but this is just a little to outlandish for most people. Obviously Chad you are trying to get attention and you will. But don't expect it to be too long pal, this move by you was simply the next step in the ladder of ridiculousness that you have established in Cincinnati these past few years. And plus, this kind of stuff is old news. Vince McMahon and the XFL? Been there, done that.

But with that said, wouldn't it be cool if someone like John "Way Back" Wasdin could have "Way Back" on his jersey. Or how about David Robinson have "The Admiral" on the back of his. That's pretty cool. Or Kobe Bryant have "Unfaithful" on the back of his United States of America Olympic jersey. Something to think about anyway.

Whaaaaaa?

So Chad Johnson can beat Michael Phelps in swimming?
