Breaking News: The EJ Manuel Dynasty Begins

Heralded recruit EJ Manuel will get his first start for Florida State on Saturday at Wake Forest.

The redshirt freshman from Virginia Beach, Va., replaces junior quarterback Christian Ponder, who suffered a dislocated shoulder in Saturday's loss to Clemson and has been ruled out for the rest of the season

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound Manuel, who was redshirted last year, threw for nearly 7,400 yards and 68 touchdowns in high school. ESPN

If you have been here from the beginning you will know that Bob and I randomly pick random recruits to be our favorite players in college football. About 2 years ago Bob picked some douche from Arkansas named DeAnthony Curtis, who I have heard nothing about, and I picked a stud QB named EJ Manuel. EJ was redshirted because Christian Ponder already had stake as the QB. Now with Ponder out of the question(he sucked anyways) EJ could be Bobby Bowden and Jimbo Fisher's last hope. My prediction Heisman in two years, guarenSheed.

Signing Day

Bob and I have always been at odds when it came to college football. Bob likes those cum guzzling Mich State Spartans because there was a guy who played qb there known as Jeff "Pole"Smoker while I am more of a Michigan fan. But other than that I can say that we are more of a players fan right now our ongoing rivalry is Josh Freeman (K-State) vs Ryan Perrlouix (LSU- I'm not bothering looking up the spelling). However, today is a day that Brings a whole new group of Potential stars. I will pick a player that I will follow for the next 4 years and the trick is it cannot be a Top 25 player. The Player who I am choosing to be the next superstar is........ E.J. Manuel... the 6'5 210 QB from Virginia who recently signed with Florida State. Here is the evaluation coming from ESPN.com:

Evaluation: As Manuel heads into his senior season he has a chance to be the best in this class as he possesses great size, a live, big arm and tremendous athleticism. He is a pocket passer and a dual-threat guy all wrapped into one package. Physically, he has all the tools. He is capable of making any throw on the field and shows good velocity on his deeper throws. Can fit the ball into a lot of tight spots. Shows ability to change velocities and throw catchable balls underneath. He also shows good accuracy and touch in the short-to-intermediate passing game. Release mechanics can be inconsistent, but his delivery is just a flick of the wrist. He is in the shotgun most of the time and needs more reps from under center to develop as a drop-back passer reading on the move. Possesses good lateral movement and shows the ability to slip pressure and create second-chance opportunities. Has a tremendous arm underneath and on deep out routes. He does a very nice job surveying the field and goes through his progressions. This offense forces him to make a variety of throws -- not just short or deep, and he is capable of throwing on the move and across his body. Just when you think he is a pocket passer, he will show excellent initial burst and quickness to escape the pocket and make plays with this legs. Looks like a big wide receiver or undersized, athletic tight end when running. He has very good speed and elusiveness and is a remarkable athlete. Keep an eye on this kid, he has a chance to be outstanding.

I mean what isn't to be loved about this man. Get Ready America E.J. Manuel is going to be amazing - DP
