Patriots Cut Joey Galloway

WEEI is reporting that the New England Patriots have just cut Joey Galloway. This is not surprising and had been rumored over the last 2 weeks. Brady and Galloway were never able to get on the same page, as he only caught 7 passes for 67 yards (sounds like some T.O. stats). Anyways, this isn't a big loss, and the Patriots seems to be happy with the WRs they have, as long as everyone can stay healthy. As for Galloway, I am sure he will be picked up by another team (Ravens, Vikings, Bears, ect).

Galloway To Be Cut?

"In recent weeks, much has been made about the lack of chemistry between New England Patriots wide receiver Joey Galloway and quarterback Tom Brady. On Sunday, Galloway was inactive, so the two got an "incomplete" on their chemistry test. To fill Galloway's role, the Pats promoted Julian Edelman, the rookie who played the part of Wes Welker when double-W was on the sidelines due to injury earlier this season. Even in his limited action, Edelman has already established some chemistry with Brady, and has 12 catches for 130 yards total over the first four weeks compared to Galloway's seven for 67. We wouldn't be surprised to see the Patriots throw Galloway up on the old trading block, and if nothing suits them, cut him loose (ESPN)."

Galloway has been terrible. Him and Brady are never on the same page, and it is getting to that time in the season when it is either going to happen or it isn't. My guess is that he will be cut within the next two weeks. His career isn't over though, I think someone will pick him up.

Joey Galloway To Patriots

The Patriots beat out the Steelers in the race for Joey Galloway. The terms of the deal are not out there yet, but I like this move. He will be the third WR on a team that already has Wes Welker and Randy Moss. Although Galloway is 37 years old he can still run like the wind and burn unsuspecting nicklebacks or safeties. The Patriots will use him as a home run threat much like the Saints use Devery Henderson. I'm smelling 600 yards and 3 TDs from the vet.

Get ready for more muscle flexing in New England.

Joey Galloway To Pats

With Jabar Gaffney headed out to the Denver Broncos to reunite with his former offensive coordinator, the New England Patriots are in the market for a viable No. 3 wide receiver. The Boston Globe has reported that Joey Galloway could be that man.

I believe this would be a hell of signing. Joey Galloway will always have a soft spot in my heart for no reason, and I will always think that he can still be a premier guy. He is still really fast and would be a great down field option with Welker being a possession guy and Moss being Moss.

And he always flexes his muscles after scoring.
