Ahhh New Orleans

This is what happens in my city if you get in an argument at the bowling alley. Recently in New Orleans, two men got in an argument at a local bowling alley over a ball and this is the aftermath from the Times Piceyune:
When they got to the 3000 block of Americus Street, the Durango pulled up. Someone stepped out. Dorsey jumped out of the car to confront him and to protect Ashten [his wife], a friend said. But his opponent had a gun, the friend said, and he peppered an unarmed Dorsey and the car with gunfire.
Several bullets hit Dorsey’s torso, police said. Another bullet hit Ashten’s left forearm, shattering two bones, Harrell said. Their friend was hit in the leg. The gunman sped off in the Durango, and police haven’t yet announced any arrests.
Just another day in paradise.

Mardi Gras Recap

If anyone hasn't experienced Mardi Gras in New Orleans, I say you have too. It is a ridiculously fun time, and brings the kid out in you. From begging random people for beads that you will most likely throw away, to drinking massive amounts of alcohol all day and all night, and to just being silly. In Boston we don't have this type of stuff, the thing I can closely relate it to is the St. Patty's day parade. But except for people being punks and wanting to fight you for bumping into them, everyone is happy and get into it. They throw anything and everything from the parades from beads to coconuts. Even the dreaded Bourbon Street and French Quarter was a blast. Sure it is kind of a rip off, but it still was out of control. All in all, it was a fun time and everyone should experience it at least once in their lives.

And Now You Know.

It snows in New Orleans. In fact, it is snowing right now and it is actually sticking to the ground.

I'm Back
I'm Back and got internet so now the non queer owner of Dueling Couches can finally say his obnoxious opinion with a New Orleans twist. Gustav was a bit more challenging than anticipated but hell I finally made it.
