Pat Williams Shits On Tarvaris Jackson

Pat Williams is one of the leaders of the Vikings, and this can't be good for Jackson's future...

"Pat Williams, one of the most prominent veteran leaders on the team and a Pro Bowler, doesn't think Jackson is putting in enough effort. "I talk to Tarvaris all the time (and) tell him you have to put in the time," Williams said during an appearance on Sirius NFL Radio, as per the Pioneer Press. "This ain't college no more. This is the NFL. You have to put in more time than you are used to putting in. If you are putting in four hours, you have to put in eight. You have to put in more time than what he's doing. I think if he puts the right time in, he will be a great quarterback in the league (ESPN)."

Could have been worse, but it is not a good sign that you "starting" QB isn't putting in the time needed to learn the playbook and become the QB the Vikings have been waiting for. Jackson has a lot of the tools, but his accuracy needs to improve, and it seems like at times he gets lost in a play. That usually means he is not comfortable with the playbook. There have been countless rumors about who will be the Vikings QB next year, but as of right now Jackson is still the most likely. Even thought I am not a big fan I do think he is better then Favre and Sage Rosenfels, but if he can't get the team leaders on his side then he isn't going to get much done...

Eagles 26 Vikings 14

The Eagles showed they are the real deal as they traveled to Minnesota today, and bounced the Vikings right out of the playoffs. Hopefully Philly fans will start to notice how good of a QB McNabb really is. The difference in this game was the play of their the 2 QBs. Tarvaris Jackson was flat out awful, and the Vikings really need to address their QB situation going into next year, because other then him, they have a really good football team. I think that if the Patriots trade Cassel, that the Vikings will be first in line for his services.

Anyways, Philly didn't have much of a ground game, but their defense, and effective passing was enough to cruise past the Vikings. This was a very hard hitting game, but Philly showed once again that their defense is improving week by week. the game was basically over when Asante Samuel's got a 44-yard interception return of Tarvaris Jackson'n errant pass in the second quarter. Philly will now face a team they have seen a lot of in the New York Giants. I actually think that this will be a very close game, but I am not sure if the Eagles can get by a team like the Giants without any kind of running game. If their defense can keep stepping up anything can happen.

Tarvaris Jackson Gets Replaced By Redskins Great Frerotte

The Vikings decided to let Tarvaris Jackson get molded on the bench as they decided to go with the veteran Gus Frerotte. I guess this is a good move figuring Jackson is horribly inconsistent and Frerotte can throw the ball with better accuracy.

I expect the Vikings to lose worse next week to the Carolina Panthers and Frerotte to throw 2 picks.

Just a thought
