WTF?!

Above is the picture of one of the guy's on Pakistan's National Cricket Team. Supposedly he is one of their best players, but supposedly he has been benched because of a case of genital warts.

His condition was officially classfied as an "injury", not allowing him to play in the next tournament. Here's the official statement from the PCB: "The medical board has reported that Shoaib Akhtar was suffering from genital viral warts and the wound needs further care and treatment for another 10 days."

This is utterly disgusting. How much do Cricket players get paid? Can't this dude afford to at least wash himself? Do they do that there?! I thought the steroid epdidemic was bad ... after hearing this, thank god we have Major League Baseball.

When Cricket Turns Deadly

LAHORE, Pakistan -- At least a dozen men attacked Sri Lanka's cricket team with rifles, grenades and rocket launchers Tuesday ahead of a match in Pakistan, wounding seven players, an umpire and an assistant coach. Six policemen and a driver were killed in the brazen assault on South Asia's most beloved sport.

Two players were hospitalized with bullet wounds that were not life-threatening and the umpire was in stable condition, officials said. Five other players and a British assistant coach had minor injuries.

I laughed last week at an autistic kid named Luke Skywalker killing his parents, and this week I got a little bit of a chuckle from this one. Honestly, the terrorist had no better people to attack other than a Sri Lankan(?) cricket team? Honestly they needed to bring grenades and rocket launchers to complete this mission? I think if I were to attack the Yankees all I would need would be a couple of guns. Rocket Launchers seem a little over kill if you ask me.
