Oh, So That's What Happened to Hideki Irabu

Hideki Irabu was found dead, an apparent suicide in a home in Rancho Palos Verdes, a wealthy Los Angeles suburb. It is being reported that he hung himself.

If you can remember Hideki Irabu was basically the Yankees Dice-K (even called the Japanese Nolan Ryan). It was a huge deal when he came over, and he ended up being the worst pitcher ever (34-35 with a 5.15 ERA). Then it took a hysterical turn as not only was he bad, but George Steinbrenner used to refer to him as a fat toad.

He was a member of two Yankees teams that won the World Series, but his only postseason action was a single relief appearance in the 1999 AL Championship Series when Boston tagged him for 13 hits.

After he fell out of the majors Irabu's life feel apart. In August 2008, he was arrested in Japan for allegedly assaulting a bartender after drinking 20 mugs of beer. Police said he became angered after his credit card was rejected. In May 2010, Irabu was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol in Gardena, another Los Angeles suburb. Police said he was stopped after his car drifted outside of traffic lanes and he nearly collided with a parked car.

So, it's pretty obvious he had some kind of drinking problem, and it finally came to an end. I wish I could say there are some good memories of him, but the only good thing I can say is it was always entertaining to watch him as a Red Sox fan.

Tragedy in Texas

The fan had a ball tossed to him after Josh Hamilton caught a fly ball and flipped over the 1st row railing falling to his death.

This is awful figuring the guy was there with his son. It will be interesting to see if the MLB will do anything about not allowing players throw the ball into the stands anymore, which was initially implemented to make the game fan friendly. Also, this has to be pretty awful for Josh Hamilton also, and isn't good to have happen to figuring hes a recovering addict.

It is the second fatal fall at a MLB ballpark this season. In May, a 27-year-old man died after he fell about 20 feet and struck his head on concrete during a Colorado Rockies game.

RIP Ryan Dunn

"Jackass" star Ryan Dunn died this morning in a car crash in Pennsylvania, reports TMZ. He had just turned 34 on June 11th.

The site says "Dunn and an unidentified person both died in the crash which happened around 3 a.m. at Route 322 and New Street in West Goshen Township. It's unclear who was driving the car. We're told the car caught fire in the crash -- and hours later, a tow truck was called to the scene to remove the charred wreckage."

Dunn, who appeared in both the "Jackass" TV show and movies, had posted a photo of himself drinking with friends on Twitter just hours before his death (ComingSoon.net)."

Sad news, he was one of my favorites on that show. I am actually surprised more that that cast hasn't died yet, and if we were doing a pool on who would get it first this guy wouldn't be anywhere near the top. Jackass was amazing, sure as it went on it kinda got sad that they were still doing it, but no one can say they didn't enjoy that show in it's heyday.

Breaking News: Macho Man Randy Savage Dies In Car Accident

According to TMZ, Randy "Macho Man" Savage died in a car accident earlier today in Tampa, FL. Lanny Poffo spoke with TMZ and stated that his brother suffered a heart attack while he was behind the wheel around 10AM today, and from there lost control of his vehicle. Savage, 58, just celebrated his one-year wedding anniversary to wife Lynn earlier this month.

Today the actor who has looked the same passed away in his sleep from pneumonia complications.... gay.

Anyways, he is/was the man and I'm legit sad about this. I would rather have Joe Biden (I'm not a terrorist, I'm saying hypothetically) die then Nielson.

From Hiccup To Murder

Not sure how many of you will remember this, but like a year ago we did a story about a girl who couldn't stop hiccuping for weeks on end. Well eventually she stopped, but now I bet everyone wishes she only in the news for those hiccups...

"Jennifer Mee, 19, of St. Petersburg, Fla., became well-known as the "hiccup girl" a few years ago -- baffling doctors who tried numerous treatments to stop the hiccups that sometimes occurred 50 times per minute and caused her to miss school.

On Saturday, authorities arrested Mee and two others in the shooting death of 22-year-old Shannon Griffin, according to the station. Police say Mee lured the victim to an area of St. Petersburg, where two men, Laron Raiford, 20, and Lamont Newton, 22, tried to rob him.

After Griffin struggled with the suspects, he was shot multiple times, investigators say (Foxnews)."

Pretty crazy this seemingly harmless story from a year ago took this turn, but I will say if I was hiccuping more then a couple of hours I would start killing people.

Gordon Ramsay Kills A Guy

Well not really, but this is kind of creepy...

"A New Jersey restaurateur once featured on Gordon Ramsay's "Kitchen Nightmares" -- and told by the TV chef that his debt-ridden eatery was "about to swim down the Hudson" -- was eerily found floating in the river after jumping off the George Washington Bridge.

Joseph Cerniglia, the 39-year-old owner of Campania in Fair Lawn, is the second chef to commit suicide after appearing on one of Ramsay's high-heat, reality-cooking series (foxnews)."

I actually don't blame Ramsay at all in this situation. Thee people know what they are getting into when they hire him to come in, so he shouldn't feel bad in the least. Plus the person this person had been living in Jersey for a while, and sometimes that can be reason enough.

I am actually surprised that their hasn't been an American Idol person who has killed themselves, because they bash a lot more people, and they all seem like they are on the verge after standing in line for 9 hours to get made fun of.

Segway To Heaven

There aren't too many deaths are really funny, but this one sure is...

"The multi-millionaire owner of the Segway company died Sunday when he fell off a cliff while riding the famous motorized scooter, the Telegraph reports.

Jimi Heselden, 62, died after skidding off a cliff at his estate in Yorkshire, England. He was reportedly testing a cross-country version of the upright, two-wheeled scooter when he plunged from the cliff.

Heselden's body was later found in a river by a passerby, the newspaper reports (FoxNews)."

Segway's are literally the gayest thing I have ever seen. Anytime I see them I immediately want to push that person, or watch them get hit by a car or something. I mean how fucking lazy can you be?

I really can't wait to hear more about this? How the fuck do you fall off a cliff? Those things don't go that fast, so he should've had time jump off. Anyways, this deserves a good chuckle, and please no one feel bad for him.

PSA: Don't Play For The Broncos

"Denver Broncos wide receiver Kenny McKinley was found dead in his home Monday in an apparent suicide.

Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said authorities were called to McKinley's home in Centennial at 3:35 p.m. local time and found his body in the second-floor master bedroom. He said detectives believe McKinley, 23, was killed by a self-inflicted gunshot wound (ESPN)."

A truly sad story, but what the fuck is going on in Denver? McKinley's death is the latest in a series of tragedies for the Broncos in recent years. Cornerback Darrent Williams was killed in a drive-by shooting on New Year's Day 2007 and 3 months later backup running back Damien Nash collapsed and died after a charity basketball game in St. Louis.

This is getting really odd. There are obviously all unrelated, but how much bad luck can 1 team have? Must really suck to be part of this organization over the past 3+ years.

Breaking News: George Steinbrenner Is Dead

"George Steinbrenner died Tuesday morning of a massive heart attack. According to The New York Daily News Steinbrenner died at approximately 6:30 a.m. in Tampa. Steinbrenner's family issued the following statement: "It is with profound sadness that the family of George M. Steinbrenner III announces his passing. He passed away this morning in Tampa, Fla. at age 80." Steinbrenner, who had been the Yankees owner since 1973, saw New York win 11 American League pennants and seven World Series titles under his leadership. He had given his sons, Hal and Hank, day-to-day control of the team in 2007 (WEEI)."

You would think I would be really pumped about this, but I am kind of sad. It's like the Emperor from Star Wars dying. Yea, everyone's happy, but it was awesome to hate someone so much.

I had this same feeling when Bettis retired from the NFL. I should've been pumped, because I hated him more then any other football player, but I have to admit I miss him, since it gave me someone to hate on.

Anyways, George was like a cartoon character, and even though he made a mockery of the MLB with this crazy payrolls I have to admit I will miss him.

There's Dirty Then There's This

"A Fort Myers woman says she didn't call emergency responders when her mother lay dying in her home because the two thought they would lose the house if officials discovered its filthy condition. Authorities believe they recently found the remains of Gladys Andrews in the home she shared with her 61-year-old daughter, Gail Andrews. They discovered the remains, which were hidden by garbage and furniture, after days of searching.

According to The News-Press, Gladys Andrews had fallen about 14 months ago, and Gail Andrews couldn't lift her. The newspaper reports that after Gladys Andrews eventually died, Gail Andrews left the body on the floor. Gail Andrews isn't facing criminal charges, but her house is now condemned and might be demolished (nwfdailynews.com)."

Listen, I have destroyed my fair share of apartments/houses, but Jesus Christ. How can you leave a dead body on a floor for 14 months. I mean it is weird that they were more worried about losing the house then her dying, but to just leave a decaying body in the house for over a year is crazy. This woman should be brought up on charges, for just being the filthiest human being ever.

What What In The Butt

"A young mom died after a doctors failed to spot a six-inch long toilet brush handle embedded in her buttock, a judicial investigation into her death was told.
Cindy Corton, 35, was left with the bizarre injury after a drunken fall in a friend's bathroom in 2005 but medics missed it - even after taking X-rays.

It was two years before Corton, who was in constant pain, was able to convince doctors that the thin serrated plastic handle was stuck in the flesh of her bottom.

By then what should have been a routine procedure to remove it had become much more dangerous because the handle had become embedded in her pelvis.

After two unsuccessful operations in 2007 the mother-of-one was in such agony that she agreed to undergo further surgery in June last year despite being told it could prove fatal.

How did no one look up this girls ass? I mean come Docs I know no one really wants to, but this has to be handled. But still, this has to be the funniest way to die. You get drunk, then fall down and happen to land on a scrub brush, which goes directly into her ass (must not have been the first time for there to be no blood). Then no one believes there is anything wrong with your until a couple years later, then they try to get it out, and she dies. I mean wow, that sucks, and now I am afraid of scrub brushes.

FIU's Kendall Berry Stabbed To Death

I don't know anything about him, or FIU, or anything about this whole incident. All I know is that this happened in Miami, which is going to be the next place I'm going to move. The thought process of me moving to different places hinges on 2 things. 1. It needs to have a high crime rate. 2. It needs to get struck by hurricanes frequently. Miami fits both of those, so it's a perfect match. It's New Orleans but with more Cuban people and beaches. Bad Bays 1 and 2 was also filmed there. Plus I would get to go to work in white pants and a Hawaiian Shirt, now that's a place for me.

Oh yea, my condolences go out to the Berry family.

World's Shortest Man Dead at 21. Years, Not Inches

He Pingping, the world's shortest man, has died. He was 21. I don't want to be too mean here or anything, but people that are this small fucking creep me out. I don't know if there are any X-Files fans from back in the day, but they had this episode where there was a homicidal Indian midget with no legs that pushed himself around on a flat scooter type thing that you move cabinets and shit with.

And after 1/2 hour of research here he is (no idea how pumped I am that I found this)...

Yea...kind of similar (and pretty fucking terrifying), so I'm glad he's dead, because this gave me endless nightmares as a kid. My life doesn't need any creaky scooter midgets attacking me.

Corey Haim Is Dead And I Don't Care

Here is my PSA to all people who are thinking of having kids someday. Never, under any circumstance, let your kid be a child tv star. They just never seem to make it.

Corey Haim died early Wednesday morning in Los Angeles. He was only 38. He has a long history of drug use, so you know it will come out that he was probably doing a whole bunch of shit. Haim is famous for a lot of his movies earlier in his career (Lost Boys, ect), but if you have seen him in the last 5 years you could just tell he was in tough shape.

I am really trying to care about this, but I can't even put in the effort to make jokes.

Well... Boners Dead

I wrote a couple days ago about how Boner from "Growing Pains" is missing somewhere is Canada. Well, they found him and he is dead. I did enough jokes when he was missing that I feel it is kind of inappropriate, but feel free to do your own.

Koenig's body was discovered by a search team on "bridal path" in Stanley Park, which is over 1,000 acres and one of the largest urban parks in North America. They haven't released how he died, but someone in his family said that he was in a lot of mental pain, and he took his own life. So I am guessing pills.

Poor guy, but I guess life is hard on child stars, and it can't be made any easier when your name is Boner.

Killer Whales Kill People

As I am sure you have all read by now Shamu has killed one of its trainers. There are a lot of different stories coming out about what actually happened. One story says the whale grabbed her by the pony tail and dragged her underwater. Another says that she slipped and fell, but the most gruesome says that the whale jumped up bit her in the side and shook her violently until finally pulling her underwater and drowning her.

This shouldn't be funny, but when all I can picture is a scene from "Deep Blue Sea", I have to giggle a little bit....

I hope that she at least got to give an epic speech before she died.

Patriots' Mosi Tatupu Dead At 54

Mosi Tatupu, a fullback and special teams player for the Patriots for 13 years, died at the age of 54. His cause of death is currently unknown, but his family said that he had "some health issues". I feel like I read a story like this every month or so. Football players in general don't live very long. You would expect this from offensive linemen, just because it can't be good for you to carry around 300+ pounds, but it seems like it is a problem across the sport.

Mosi Tatupu had 612 carries and 2,415 yards in his 14-year NFL career. After 13 seasons with the Patriots from 1978 to 1990, Tatupu played five games for the Los Angeles Rams in 1991 before ending his playing career. He also payed in the Super Bowl when the Patriots got crashed by the Bears.

I bring him up even though he is before my time, because I know a lot of people truly loved him around here. He even coached football at Curry College. He will be missed, and I am extremely interested in how he died.

I also brought this up to show the damage that the NFL has on a player. The average lifespan of a normal person in the US is around 77-78 years old. An NFL players lifespan is about 55 (52 if you're a lineman). Kind of crazy...

A Truly Sad Story

A high school football star who had been signed to play at Vanderbilt University was shot to death Thursday by his mother's ex-boyfriend. He was only 18 years old. What a chicken shit way to do things, and it seems to be happening more. Someone decides they don't want to live anymore, and decide to take someone with them. It is like that plane crash in Texas where the guy burned down his house, then ran his plane into a building, just because the IRS was going to audit him.

The full story hasn't come out, but this kid had a very bright future for himself, and it is too bad some selfish asshole had to ruin it.

Nancy Kerrigan's Life Really Sucks

News has come out that Nancy Kerrigan's brother beat their father to death. This is obviously still under investigation, but he has already been picked up, and reports are out that he is an unemployed plumber and an Army veteran with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder who regularly receives counseling, which has all the makings of someone who is just going to snap.

Anyways, after getting clubbed at the Olympics and now her father has been beaten to death by her own brother, you have to ask why all these terrible things keep happening to her, and with that I have nothing else to say on this topic.
