Stan Van Gundy Does The Best Thing In His Career

What's new the Heat lost to Portland but let me rewind to the last game when Dwayne Wade started saying, "The Heat are losing, the world is happy", you know what? Fuck that. But I don't want to go on a rant I'll letOrlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy do it for me.

"I do chuckle a little bit when they sort of complain about the scrutiny when they get," Van Gundy said. "My suggestion would be if you don't want the scrutiny, you don't hold a championship celebration before you've even practiced together. It's hard to go out yourself and invite that kind of crowd and celebration and attention, and then when things aren't going well, sort of bemoan the fact that you're getting that attention. To me, that doesn't follow."

Coach Erik Spoelstra's Heat are 43-20 but only 1-9 against elite teams.

I don't like Stan Van Gundy as a coach, I don't think he's that great, but I agree with him 100%. They said they were going to win 7 in a row, held a championship celebration and basically slapped everyone in the NBA's face by doing that. So this is the bed they made they have to lay in it. They aren't allowed to be upset when people root against them.

Tate Forcier Going To The U

Forcier was forced to back up Denard Robinson last season after starting ahead of him when they were both freshmen during the 2009 season. Forcier threw for 2,647 yards with 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 20 career games.

As I can't argue with Robinson starting over him, I did feel bad for Forcier who did a real decent job his freshman year.

I think this is a big pick up for Al Golden and the U as Jacory Harris is good but his inconsistent play leaves him in question and we didn't see anything great out of backup Stephen Morris. My Guess is Forcier takes reign of the U in 2012 and they have a top 5 year.

Plus there is a chance he could be on the 7th floor crew there.

NCAA Coach Changes

Two Florida teams got their men.

Miami got their man in Al Golden from Temple and Florida got their man in Will Muschamp from Texas.

If you look at Golden's stats at Temple they won't jump out at you, he was 27-34 and went 1-11 his first year there, but remember what he's working with. He went 8-4 this year and that included a big win against UConn who is going to a BCS Championship game. This is one of those high risk, high reward guys and I like Miami's odds.

Will Muschamp was supposed to be Mack Browns successor, apparently he got fed up with waiting. I don't hate Muschamp, so I guess that's a step in the right direction. And Texas has had a lot of success offensively so they got that working for them. So I guess we will have to wait.

My Time With The 7th Floor Crew

So when I was in Miami, I decided to go to the U. And then I had a mission to go to the dorm where the 7th floor crew did some work. So I texted Bob and said Mahoney, so I went there and here are a couple pictures:

No girls were fucked during this time.

No LeBron Sighting, but don't be surprised when he has a knee injury.

Randy Shannon Gets 4 Year Extension

Randy Shannon and the U just agreed to a 4 year deal where he gets an undisclosed raise. Shannon has done a good job of reviving the Hurricanes out of thuggery and mediocrity. I know they have not been in a title game, but have definitely got national attention and with Jacory Harris returning, look for them to be in the top ten this year.

On another note, I'm loving the ESPN 30 in 30's. "The U" one was awesome. It went back to the Michael Irvin 47 wearing days and they were awesome and kicked so much ass on and off the field. It gave me a new respect for Miami and how awesome it would have been to be on that convict laden team. I didn't get a chance to watch the Raiders one, but I really want too. The only one I have had a gripe with was the Allen Iverson documentary. It was stupid and race related.

Whatever, fuck BMack.

FIU's Kendall Berry Stabbed To Death

I don't know anything about him, or FIU, or anything about this whole incident. All I know is that this happened in Miami, which is going to be the next place I'm going to move. The thought process of me moving to different places hinges on 2 things. 1. It needs to have a high crime rate. 2. It needs to get struck by hurricanes frequently. Miami fits both of those, so it's a perfect match. It's New Orleans but with more Cuban people and beaches. Bad Bays 1 and 2 was also filmed there. Plus I would get to go to work in white pants and a Hawaiian Shirt, now that's a place for me.

Oh yea, my condolences go out to the Berry family.

Miami To Have Recruiting Problems?

Miami has always had a lot of NFL players coming through their school, but that could change, since one of the main high schools they get players from (Miami Northwestern) is none to happy about the treatment of one of their players.

Miami Northwestern coaching staff felt that DT Todd Chandler was wronged by the Hurricanes coaches. Chandler supposedly was Miami's first commitment in the class of 2010, and the 'Canes then seemingly lost interest with no explanation. Though we may never know the full story of what happened, what matters is that there are reports going around that Miami Northwestern is now pushing their players to attend different schools then the "U".

It doesn't seem like it would be a big deal to lose a connection to one school, but this is team that had 8 players from this school (including QB Jacory Harris, WR Aldarius Johnson and LB Sean Spence). Miami really needs to find a way to fix this relationship, as it seemed like they were heading in the right direction this year, and don't need something like this to set them back again.

Sam Bradford Update

Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford has been increasing his activity in practice, but a decision on whether he will start Saturday at Miami has yet to be made, coach Bob Stoops said Wednesday.

"He has picked up his number of throws, the distance and his velocity each day," Stoops said. "He's been better every day.ESPN

Sam Bradford is going to be the key to the Miami vs Oklahoma game this weekend. Both teams are highly overrated and shouldn't be even be in the talks in a National Championship. But I like the Sooners if Bradford plays, but if he doesn't I'm all Hurricanes. Also, I'm sick of analysts blaming the weather for Miami's loss to VaTech. There are a lot of hard showers in my Miami, so kiss the baby all you fucks.

Miami's Back

This was one of the best game's I have ever seen. Miami seemed for real. The Hurricane's are back.

Miami's Cooper Injured

Running back Graig Cooper is Miami's newest injury concern.

Cooper missed the Hurricanes' practice Tuesday morning with an apparent lower right leg injury. He was wearing a protective boot.

The severity was not immediately clear.

The junior has been Miami's leading rusher in each of his first two seasons. He ran for 841 yards last year and scored touchdowns four ways -- rushing, receiving, passing and returning.ESPN

Cooper is one of Miami's playmakers, and even though I don't expect much from the U this year losing a playmaking guy such as Cooper is detrimental to the success of your team. Whatever, it is a slow day.

Draft Preview: Dolphins Pick

There is speculation that the Dolphins are already in talks with Long, in dealing with a contract negotiation. So he will be my "safe" pick, but with a team like the Dolphins, there are endless picks this could be, it seems like they will have to take a player with the number 1 pick, although it seems they would prefer not too. They dangled the pick to many teams, but no one took the bait.

If Your Hoe Only Knew

That Miami got the top recruiting class in the College football. They got 12 players that were ranked in the ESPN top 150 including 5 of the top 7 OLB and the number 1 ranked DT. How the hell did Randy Shannon (first year coach of the U) pull this one out of his ass. In a tough ACC conference were he finished 5-7 how was he able to get the top recruiting class in the country? WOW. All power to the U. I think college football has missed their antics the last year. We should all get ready for a storm like the Hurricanes coming up in the next couple of years. Also, Randy Shannon needs to get ready to deal with a new set of 7th floor crew members like: Arthur Brown, Sean Spence, Ramon Buchanan, Aldarius Johnson,etc...

Other top recruiting classes include Clemson, Alabama, Florida, Georgia.

And do not forget FSU with Super recruit E.J. Manuel.
