I am kind of happy about this, however, I would love to see him play tonight. Whatever, I'll take the rest tonight for another championship. I have nothing else really to say about that other than, fuck LeBron.
I love this kid and I don't care if people call this a reach. If not for an injured leg last year and playing in the shadows of Michael Beasley he would be a lottery pick. Bill Walker recently injured his leg and that definitely hurt his stock a little bit but this kid has pro all over him. Walker is 6'6 220 and plays high above the rim, n absolutely jaw dropping, electrifying dunker capable of getting air like the greatest dunkers of all time, Jordan, Dominique, Vince Carter, Josh Smith etc. his leg strength and explosiveness is off the charts, His skill level is still catching up, but he has shown tremendous progress over the past year. Improvements have been seen in shooting, feel for the game, as well as creating offense off the dribble over powers opponents with his body strength, and it will only get better as he's just a 18 year old pup. Has a killer instinct, with a real nasty side to his personality. Has no problem dominating inferior competition, competes hard ... His upside is incredible, but for now he's a superstar athlete developing into a quality basketball player (NBADraft.net)
The four people I would love to see the Celtics get are: Robin Lopez, Roy Hibbert, Chris Douglass Roberts, or Billy Walker
Courtney Lee Finally a player I want to write about. Courtney is a lights out 6-5, 200 pound shooting guard. He is a shoot first do everything later type of player. He is an excellent dribbler, that has outstanding range, and is extremely athletic. With Memphis possibly trading Mike Miller, Courtney can step right into his shoes. I like this move for the rebuilding Grizzlies.
Ryan Anderson Rumor has it the Spurs are already committed to this douche. He is 6-10, 225 but doesn't play like a 6-10 guy. He is an excellent 3 point shooter, decent rebounder and good passer. He should be able to stretch defenses much like Robert Horry did for the Spurs. Anyways, this is the second pick that I have hated. He reminds me of Mike Dunleavy too much, and I don't feel like talking about him anymore.
JaVale McGee I like McGee and I think he can be a Andrew Bynum type of player in a couple of ways. 1) He is huge (7 foot) 2) He is a couple of years away from being an impact player.
The positives for McGee are he's a rare talent, in the fact he can run the floor in a fast pace game, and is very explosive. He's a very good shot blocker and has a lot of potential offensively. He also has a tremendous amount of range- he could knock down the college three when called upon. The reason he has fallen this far is due to his poor work-outs.
Jason Thompson The Orlando Magic need a big body and that is exactly what they are getting in Thompson. Thompson is 6-10, 245 PF and is a post forward that would be an excellent complement to Dwight Howard. But with that being said Thompson can also shoot it from 12-15 feet, and has great character which goes a long way now a days. The downside is that he is from a mid-major in Rider, so his competition was not as good as others. However, you can't argue with a guy who has averaged 20-10 for the past two years.
