McDonalds to Change Happy Meals

McDonald's has announced that by 2012, all of its restaurants will be serving a new kind of happy meal. Instead of French fries, all happy meals will come with apple slices. This is in an effort to provide healthier meals, and to change their image. Currently, apple slices are an option for happy meals, but only 11% of people make that selection.

This is just another example of people not being able to control themselves. People blame McDonald's for making their kids fat. They don't blame themselves for taking their children there three times a week and letting them sit on their asses all day playing video games.

McDonald's food isn't healthy. But it's tasty. And if consumed only occasionally, it won't result in obesity. But we live in a society obsessed with not taking responsibility for itself and its own actions. I'm a chubby guy myself, but I don't blame Ronald McDonald, the Burger King, or Wendy for my surplus mass. We live in a free country (at least we used to), and part of having the freedom to make decisions is having the responsibility of living with them.

Apple slices don't go with hamburgers anyway. And neither does milk.

Stupid Bitch Sues McDonalds

"A California woman is suing McDonald's claiming the fast-food giant uses toys to market directly to young children. Monet Parham, a Sacramento, California, mother of two small children filed the lawsuit Wednesday in San Francisco along with health, nutrition and food safety advocates Center for Science in the Public Interest . CSPI is seeking court approval to proceed as a class action.

Parham, a 41-year old state employee, says her kids repeatedly ask for Happy Meals, mainly for the toys. "We have to say no to our kids so many times and McDonald's makes that so much harder to do. I object to the fact that McDonald's is getting into my kids' heads without my permission and actually changing what my kids want to eat (CNN)."

I really can't fucking stand stories like this. Is anyone not aware that McDonalds is bad for you? Even if your kid is pleading for "Happy Meal" toys it doesn't mean you have to cave in to the little bastards demands. Kids ask for shit all the time, the more you give, the more they ask for stuff. It really is that simple, so fucking grow a pair, slap that stupid chubby kid across his stupid fucking face, hand him a carrot and move on.

4 Teens Ticketed For Rapping Order at McDonalds

"A rap by four teenagers at a McDonald's has gotten them a bad rap in one Utah city. The teens were cited by American Fork police earlier this week for disorderly conduct after they rapped their order at a McDonald's drive-through. The teens said they were imitating a popular video on YouTube. They rapped their order, which begins with, "I need a double cheeseburger and hold the lettuce ..." once quickly before repeating it more slowly. Spenser Dauwalder said employees at the restaurant told him and his friends they were holding up the line and needed to order or leave.

The 18-year-old said nobody was in line. He and his three 17-year-old friends left without buying anything. American Fork Police Sgt. Gregg Ludlow says a manager wrote down the car's license plate number and called police. The teens were later cited by officers at a high school parking lot outside a volleyball match.

"We thought, you know, just teenagers out having fun," Dauwalder told KSL Newsradio. "We didn't think it would escalate to that."

Disorderly conduct citations are issued when someone does something to cause annoyance or alarm, Ludlow said. The citation is an infraction similar to a speeding ticket, Ludlow said.

"It was not just that they were rapping, they continued to hold things up," Ludlow said (FoxNews)."

my first reaction was that this is silly and the cop took this too far. Now I am thinking that I am glad they did this. If I was there I would have been pissed that these guys were holding up the line trying (and failing) to be funny. Fuck them I hope it was a big ticket.

FRIBOURG, Switzerland - Swiss police said they are investigating a 7-year-old girl's discovery of a condom in her McDonald's Happy Meal.

Fribourg state police said the mother called them after the girl discovered the condom among her French fries.

Police said Monday they were investigating where the condom came from and how it got into the Happy Meal. They said an analysis was being done to determine if the condom posed a health risk.
