Breaking News: Vikings Fire Childress

Well it has finally happened...

"The Minnesota Vikings have relieved Brad Childress of his coaching duties and promoted defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier to interim coach for the rest of the season, the team said (ESPN)."

It is about fucking time, but the Vikings shouldn't stop here they need to send Favre home too. Their season is over, and there is no reason to let that bum finish the year. They should see if Tavarius Jackson can handle being the starting QB, because at this point he can only help, and I am sure he will throw a lot less picks.

Childress lost this locker room a long time ago, but I can't feel bad for him. He made a deal with the devil when he brought Favre in last year, and it is about time that bit him in the ass.

Patriot Fans Should Be Rooting For Favre To Play

Let me just say... Brett Favre is going to play, he is, get over it.

It has been going on all week, and the bottom line is that this is Brett Favre's call. It should be the coach's, but when you fly down and beg a guy to come back, and that guy is the only reason Childress got an extension, you just know Favre is bigger then this team.

Favre will play, because well that's what Favre does. Reports say he can't hurt his foot any worse, and that it will just be how he tolerates the pain. Say what you want about Favre, but the guy plays through pain.

Still, as a Patriots fan you have to be rooting for Favre to be Favre. Why? Because Favre is losing games by himself. Last year he was carrying this team, this year he is the iceberg that is sinking their season. If the Vikings somehow were able to bench Favre there is a good chance we would see nothing but Peterson running down the Patriots throats. Do you really see this defense stopping him????? I didn't think so. Jackson probably sucks, but he also doesn't have the arrogance to make the mistakes Favre has been making this year (and career).

Yet, if Favre is there you know he will force it. He'll force it to Moss, he'll make bad choices, and he is known for choking (yes, the Legend chokes more then maybe any other).

Bottom line is that Favre is going to play, and Patriots fans should be excited about that fact.

It's Time To Bench Favre

What Favre did last season was nothing short of incredible. It's hard for me to say that, but it's true. Still, it is a new year, he is another year older, he has off the field problems, he is injured, and his coach is losing trust. If this was anyone else wouldn't he be on the bench?

The answer to be is an obvious YES. The Vikings aren't playing that bad of football. Sure they aren't getting the sacks they were getting last year, but their offense also isn't scoring nearly as much, so teams are passing less. The only thing that is costing them games is Brett Favre.

Last night is a great example. The Packers did not play well at all. Rodgers wasn't sharp, the Packers defense isn't anything special, and yet Favre goes out and throws 3 picks in the 2nd half.

Do you know what Favre's QB rating is right now?

68.

Just to give you some perspective, he is currently 30th in the NFL is QB rating. He has 3 more picks this year, then he did all of last year. He has only had 1 game when he has had more picks then touchdowns, and in that game he had 1 TD and 0 INTs.

So I ask once again. If this was anyone else would they be starting? Especially when you factor in that we found he isn't such an amazing person off the field either.

If I was the Vikings (wow I can't believe I am about to say this), I would start Tarvaris Jackson. Maybe not for the whole season, but at least until Favre can get himself healthy.

Why Not?

Why not watch Tavarius Jackson get choke slammed?

24 Green Bay, 19 Minnesota

Aaron Rodgers silenced the critics, for now anyways. In the first game of the Rodgers era the kid didn't do to bad. He was 18/22 passing for 172 and 1 TD and he also rushed for another TD as well; of course he had some help from Ryan Grant who rushed for 92 yards and our old friend Will Blackmon who returned a 76 yard punt to the house, but Rodgers still did well. The thing that surprised me the most about the game was the Vikings defense. With the big trade of Jared Allen and the two Williams' in the middle they were unable to record a sack all game.

For the Vikings Peterson ran for 103 yards and Tavarius Jackson seemed to have did all that he could to keep them in the game until the final interception.
