Brandon Jacobs To The Bench

New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs has not had the kind of season so far that some people expected. For those of us in the fantasy world, he's been a big disappointment, tied with Tim Hightower for 26th amongst running backs in scoring. But as we noted yesterday, he's also getting a little annoyed at the somewhat unreal expectations being placed on him. Ahmad Bradshaw would likely be the man that takes the number one spot. ESPN

Brandon Jacobs sucks. He always has and he always will. For a big runningback like himself how he is managing only 3.6 yards per carry is astounding. As a Steelers fan, I witnessed Jerome Bettis be our runningback and seeing him make holes through the line and fall forward averaging 4.8 ypc. When I watch Brandon Jacobs, it makes me think that Trung Candidate was a more physical runner. If there is a weakness to this Giants team it would be the run game, but with the way Eli is playing stopping the run doesn't seem to matter either.

Brandon Jacobs To Retire?

In spite of a 3-0 record for the New York Giants, Brandon Jacobs is not happy with his personal performance thus far. He's rushed 58 times for 196 yards -- an average of 3.4 yards-per-carry -- and a touchdown.

How not happy is he? "If I finish the season averaging [3.4 yards] a carry, I won't play next year. I'll be done," he said during an appearance on ESPN 1050 AM, according to Ralph Vacchiano on Twitter.ESPN

Well if you read this site, you should know where I am going with this one.

Obviously, Jacobs is tired of getting diddled from ShEli Manning and those panty sniffing queers they call a team. I would probably retire to if I get credit carded by every teammate every day.

Oh yea, the Giants suck

Brandon Jacobs Bashes Romo

You know I love this even though it is coming from a Giants player...

"Although the teams won't meet until Sept. 20, let the trash-talking between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys begin. Brandon Jacobs talked to Brandon Tierney of ESPN Radio 1050 and had some choice quotes. "I'm not a fan of Tony Romo, no. Keep him in the pocket, he's not that good." Reacting to Romo's free-wheeling playing style, Jacobs said, "his luck will be gone sooner or later. If you were to keep Tony Romo in the pocket he's not that effective." Jacobs' opinion can be summed up thusly: "I don't think he's that good a passer, to be honest with you (ESPN)."

Jacobs is 100% right. Romo is so overrated. He is not accurate, and although he can make some plays when he is moving around I don't think he is anything special. There are so many QBs I would take over Romo if I was starting a team. In the end he is only a big story because the media loves QBs who go out of their way to be famous, and there is always stories following a Dallas Cowboys' QB.

Jacobs Signs 4 Year Deal

Running back Brandon Jacobs, their 264-pound workhorse, signed a four-year, $25 million extension.

Brandon Jacobs is one of those guys, I can't quite put my finger on. He is a beast but I feel he should be a lot better than he is. He isn't able to take full responsibility to be the only runningback on a team, and if the Giants lose Ward (which they probably are), Jacobs won't be able to carry the team. The Giants regressed last year, and with losing Plaxico (probably) and Ward, I expect them to have another disappointing season because obviously Eli isn't ready to carry a team.
