Oh Boy Joba

I guess those reports of Joba gaining 15-20 pounds are true.

Final Straw For Joba Chamberlain?

After all the positive reports for the Yankees about CC Sabathia dropping 30 pounds and being the best shape of his career, there is now word that it is a very different story of Joba Chamberlain...

"Brian Costello of the New York Post reports that Joba Chamberlain appears to be about 10-15 pounds heavier than last season. Chamberlain said he feels as if he's in shape, and even built a gym at his home in Nebraska, but the extra pounds may not go over well in the Yankee front office (ESPN)."

Any chance of Joba ever being a big time starter went out the window last year, now the Yankees are just hopping that they can make him a decent bullpen asset. I don't want to read into this report too much, but it does make me wonder if Joba even cares anymore. He went from being the toast of the town to a forgotten guy at the end of the bullpen. Even if the Yankees try to move him, who would want him?

He is still only 25 years old, but I wouldn't have much faith in this guy if I was a Yankees fan.

Eddy Curry Gets Even Fatter

Just when you thought Eddy Curry couldn't get any worse he shows up to camp 20 pounds heavier, and now weighs a shocking 325 pounds!

"Eddy Curry never showed up for voluntary workouts in July and September and was the last player to make it to the Knicks practice facility just ahead of the start of training camp. The team was hoping he would lose weight in the offseason, but he didn't. The New York Times reports he gained 20 pounds and tipped the scales at 325 when the Knicks weighed him.

According to the newspaper he was lapped during a drill on Saturday in which players weaved through cones around the court and by Sunday night he was sitting on the sidelines with a tight hamstring.

"Obviously, we're pushing these guys hard," head coach Mike D'Antoni said. "He misses anything, it just makes it a little bit tougher."

Asked if Curry was already behind, D'Antoni said, "Well, yeah (ESPN)."

Oh those Knicks, man they crack me up. Curry is making over $11 million this year. The good news is that this is his last year, so maybe they can move his expiring contract, but knowing the Knicks they'll probably resign him for twice as much.

Why Not?

Why not be gross, but think your sexy, dance with a stripper pole then soil yourself?

I suddenly understand DP's random urge to kill Claire from LOST.

Roethlisberger Had Too Many RoethlisBurgers

He looks pretty fat doesn't he? He is big in general, but he actually looks fat and I like it. After his first Superbowl win he decided to ride a motorcycle head first into a car, and after winning his second he gains 90 pounds. That is a man. I just hope he is in decent shape come season opener.
