Ronnie Brown Injury Update

"Ronnie Brown stuck his head through the entrance of the Miami Dolphins dressing room Monday, tossed a pair of shoes toward his locker and disappeared. His arm is fine. His foot, not so good. The Dolphins' leading rusher and wildcat triggerman remained on crutches 24 hours after hurting his right foot during the Dolphins' 25-23 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday. He's unlikely to play Thursday at Charlotte and could be sidelined much longer. "I can only tell you I'm still in the middle of gathering information," coach Tony Sparano said. "We've got to prepare for all the scenarios." The most likely scenario is that Brown will be replaced in the starting lineup in Charlotte by Ricky Williams, who came off the bench against the Buccaneers for his first 100-yard rushing game this season. The Dolphins initially said Brown hurt his ankle but listed the injury Monday as being to his foot. Either way it's a big loss - Brown is the Dolphins' leading rusher with 648 yards and eight touchdowns, and he takes the snap on most of the team's wildcat plays (Sportsline)."

Ronnie Brown has been having a nice year for himself. He is really the key to the offense, but I actually think Ricky Williams will do a fine job in place of him. Williams has kind of been overlooked all season, but he has some games when he really takes off. I have no faith in Henne though, but the Dolphins are good at keeping games close it is just too bad they don't have the talent to get over that hump.

Actually, I am a Patriots fan, so I am kind of happy they are mediocre.

Ricky Williams Still Loves Pot

“There was definitely an urge. But I just thought about what I have to lose and it was easy. The urge didn’t last very long.” Williams said he successfully combated the urge to smoke by meditating instead.

”I’ve done a lot of work at understanding myself a little bit more,” Williams said. “So I recognize [the urge] was just a result of the feeling of being free, and I was just trying to maximize it. And I realize that I really enjoy meditating and when I can go home and sit in my room and meditate, I can get the same feeling.”

My god Ricky, please stay away from pot. You have got so many chances and have already missed so many games, it is not not worth it. Comments like this should never even come from you.

Dolphins Rip Patriots 38-13

Well, the streak if finally over folks, after an amazing run of 21 straight regular-season victories the Patriots finally dropped one. They didn't just barely lose, the Dolphins dominated them on both sides on the ball. Ronnie Brown was the story in this game as he ran for 113 yards and 5 TDs (one of which was a 19 yard passing TD). Even Ricky Williams ran for 98 yards, as the Patriots couldn't stop anything the Dolphins were doing. Pennington only had 3 incompletions in the game, and the Dolphins rolled to the 38-13 victory. Cassell was off today, but this loss really wasn't his fault. He missed some open passes, but the Patriots were not getting anything from their running game, and Randy Moss looked like he was giving up on a couple of plays (not a good sign). The good thing for the Patriots is that they have a bye week next week, so hopefully they can plug some of these holes on defense, and get players like Maroney healthy and ready to run.
