103 Celtics, 94 Lakers

The Celtics went to LA and did what they needed to do. That's take 1 game in LA and steal home court advantage. The series is all knotted up at 1 game a piece and the good guys are going back to Boston.

As soon as the game started you could tell this is a different Boston team, they stayed aggressive, drove to the basket, and played stout defense. In the box score it may say the Lakers had 14 blocks, but I really don't mind that stat because that meant the Celtics were getting to the hoop for the shots to be blocked.

In the first half it was the sniper Ray Allen who hit 7-8 3 pointers and had 27 of his 32 points. In the second half he hit another one which was an NBA record and according to Tommy he doesn't care for Kobe too much. This really goes to show how much he means to the offense and with him in foul trouble in game 1, really killed the flow of the Celtics offense.

In the 2nd half we turned to the youngster Rajon Rondo who fucked around and got a triple double. 19 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists was his stat line, but more importantly than that he had a huge block on Derek Fisher and late strip on Kobe, both were extremely risky plays at the time but it worked out.

The bench played a great role for the exception of Shelden Williams who almost blew the game in the 4 minutes he played. But Nate Robinson played a great game scoring a quick 7 points and Sheed and Davis combined for 15 points and 14 rebounds.

The officiating once again was bad, calling 29 on each team, and there was a major free throw discrepancy in the game before the Lakers started putting us on the line at the end, but whatever, I didn't mind this game because they were shitty calls on both sides. I also didn't mind because both Kobe (21 points) and Artest (6 points) were in foul trouble for a majority of the game.

Poopface once again had a great game with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 blocks. He has been outplaying whoever we put on him. With that being said, what the fuck is up with KG? 6 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists is unacceptable. He is missing open shots and trying to tip rebounds to himself rather than grabbing the rebounds. This needs to stop very soon, because at some parts of the game I almost preferred Sheed or Baby to be in over KG.

Pierce struggled, but he'll be ok. A win, is a win, is a win.

A Reading From The Book Of Rajon

This reading has been from the book of I'm baaaaacccckkkk...
It has been a long time...and I do apologize for it. I've been away from the yard for a while-not purposely, of course. It's just that the past couple of months have been very busy for me. We were on the road for almost all of February, and we have been on the road a lot this month too. It seems like all I've done for the past two months is travel, and when I wasn't traveling I was either doing appearances or trying to spend time with my family. My little girl is getting soo big, and she has to be the smartest baby in the world (yes, I'm partial). She is saying and doing everything-her favorite thing to do is to play ring around the rosey (she knows all the words).

I know yall want to know what's been going on, and I'm sorry to say that the only thing that we've been focusing on is finishing out the regular season strong and trying to get everyone healthy. It seemed like injuries were contagious on our team for a while. First it was TA, then Scal, then KG, then me, then Baby, and then Leon. I just pray that the injuries are over, and everyone gets back healthy soon. We only have a few more regular season games, and we need everyone for the playoffs. As far as my ankles, they are better. Just to be cautious, I still get treatment on them every day. I get taped real good before the games, so I'm pretty coo. I would have to say that I'm ready for the playoffs-it seems like the season went by fast this year.

I know a lot of you have been tuning into the NCAA tournament. I haven't been able to watch many of the games because of my schedule, but I do know that a lot of people's brackets are messed up because of surprise wins and losses. I think Louisville's loss shocked a lot of people. Even though I am a UK boy, I still like to see any home team do well. I was hoping that they made it, but it didn't work out that way. Speaking of UK, I was surprised to hear that they let Billy G go. What are your thoughts about the tournament?

Let me know what you think about what has been going on in the sports world, and I promise I will be back to the yard soon. I'll holla!

Rondo be with you.

A Reading From The Excerpt Named: Shut Down

What's Goooood?! I'm at home right now...just chillin. I thought I would drop yall a few lines. It is snowing like crazy in Boston right now. We had a snow storm hit us yesterday, and it hasn't stopped snowing yet. Actually, I had to go downtown early yesterday and stay in a hotel before the game because of the snow. I wanted to make sure I was able to make it to the game on time, so I went downtown before it started snowing-most of the team did the same. I've been in the house most of the day. I went to practice this morning, and after, a few of the guys came over. We just sat around and watched games. The snow was too bad to really go anywhere. Because of the way it was snowing yesterday, I thought the city was going to shut down, but I forgot this is Boston. Everyone is used to it here.

Yesterday's win was great. I liked the pace of the game. We all played great team ball-40 assists! I didn't think that anyone was going to come out to the game, but I was wrong. I think there were like 14,000 people that came out. That just goes to show you that we have the best fans. Thanks yall.

Earlier this week, I spent time with an organization that I work with here in Boston-The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, MSPCC. I really love working with this organization. Yall know that I love kids, and these kids are the best. I like to spend time with them whenever I can, and I had some free time this week so I went to see them.

We play New York tomorrow. I'm about to lay it down now. Hopefully this snow will stop soon so that we can all do our normal pre-game rituals tomorrow. I'll holla at yall soon!

A Reading From The Excerpt Named: A Great Night

"Man...tonight was a great night! We got the W, played great team ball, and I got my first triple-double. I'm not the type of player that focuses on my own stats, so I didn't even know what I had until I sat down in the 4th. I was really focused on being aggressive tonight. Ray had a great night tonight, so I just kept feeding him the ball. I really just wanted to make plays and get people the ball-the stats just came. Overall, I felt good out there. My lip got busted up a little, but I'm fine. I'm tired now though, so I'm going to lay it down now. I just wanted to drop yall a few lines. I'll holla! "

Words from a living legend

Rajon Rondo checked in with his latest blog entry. And i have commented on about 6 of his last posts on behalf of DC, its only a matter of time before he gets back to us. Look at that pic, what a fuckin bad ass.

Anyway heres his latest entry:

"I hope everyone had a happy and safe Thanksgiving. Today was a great day for me! I got to spend the day with my family. We didn't have practice or anything, so I just chilled all day with the people I love the most. We ate good, slept, and ate again. I watched some games and really got a chance to relax. I love these type of days, but it is one thing that bothers me a little about holidays-text messages. On every big holiday, I get a million text messages. I feel bad if I don't respond, so I end up spending a lot of time texting. I guess I should be thankful that people take the time to text me, but sometimes it gets really annoying. Well, I'm about to lay it down. I have a game tomorrow, so I need to get some rest. I'll holla! "

God bless #9

A Reading From The Excerpt Named: Got My Game Back

As most of you know, I had a few off games where I just wasn't getting it done. I didn't know what was wrong, but my game just wasn't there. I know that every game isn't going to be perfect (I am going to have some off nights), but this just felt a little different. However, I am happy to announce that my game is back, and I'm very excited about it. These past few games, I have been taking care of business and contributing to the team. In an effort to get out of my slump, I developed a new pre-game ritual. I think it gets me more focused for games than my old one. Instead of napping soo long and getting to the game three hours early, now I take a shorter nap and arrive at the arena a little later-I really think it works!

Last night's game felt great-got the W. I felt like my old self, which gave me a lot of confidence to play my game. My agent was there. He came in town to meet with me about some business and stayed for the game. Duff is a good dude-always working hard for me. After the game, we flew to Minnesota. We didn't have shoot around this morning, so I got to sleep in. I just got finished getting a massage. I have a meeting in a little while, then my nap. Hopefully we will get this win tonight...as for now, I'll holla!

O...make sure yall vote for the All-Star game. I'm trying to be there this year!
