TCU and I Are Cool Now

The Horned Frogs have accepted an invitation to join the Big East as an all-sports member, sources told ESPNDallas.com's Richard Durrett on Monday morning. TCU has scheduled a press conference for 1 p.m. CT to make "a major announcement involving the TCU athletics program." ESPN

Way to have balls. TCU wanted to get recognized nationally, they did something about it. The Big East is a little questionable for a Texas team to join, however, you have to admire their will to embrace a somewhat tougher conference.

Hows the crow taste Boise.

Hahahaha Boise State

The drumming that Nevada put on Boise State in their 34-31 win should be talked about here.

I don't care how Nevada won and I don't care about the kicker situation,(obviously Nevada's special teams were too intimidating for Boise State to handle) I care that we don't need to hear from Boise State anymore.

Boise State has been a constant thorn in my side for years. I'm sick of them playing a fluff schedule and then complaining on how the NCAA doesn't respect them. Yes we remember their funny hijinks against Oklahoma, and that was a cool story, but they are just bitchy at this point and I'm glad they got humbled.

They beat an overrated Virgina Tech team and Oregon State.. sweet. Try playing in the SEC, Pac 10, or Big 12, d bags.

Boise State and TCU are scam artists. They found a clever get rich quick scam that got the public to support them using the David vs Goliath and the NCAA is trying to screw them theories.

Boise State and TCU are no longer David's. They have Goliath programs in David conferences. I'm not taking away from the program, they have a good football team, however, just imagine the outcry if Bama or Auburn ran through the Toledos and San Jose States of the world on a weekly basis en route to the coaches trophy.

Boise State go screw and join a real division. Until then you're a 3rd grade bully picking on 1st graders.

BCS: Bad Conspiracy Shenanigans

So Boise State is 14-0. They beat the Mountain West Champs TCU. They beat the Pac-10 Champs Oregon. So why aren't they going to be considered for a split National Title? Because that's exactly what the BCS wanted.

The BCS Bowls were arranged to make Bama/Texas the only game that mattered. Cincinatti was set-up to most likely get crushed by Florida. And instead of testing TCU or Boise State against a team like Florida, or a BCS Conference Champ like Georgia Tech, the BCS put them in the same cage, where they'd destroy each other. And of course, the Rose Bowl's BigTen/Pac-10 "tradition" prevented a Boise State vs. Ohio State matchup, or TCU vs. Oregon.

TCU now has no argument to be a National Champ. And then there's Boise State. All the pro-BCS good ole boys out there can dismiss their victory over TCU as just another win over a mid-major opponent.

And if you're Boise State, you can learn a lesson here. You've got to start scheduling big teams on the road if you want to make it to the next level. Few from the BCS conferences are going to hand it to you. You have to claw and fight for it.

Publicly challenge USC to play you in Los Angeles. Publicly challenge Texas for a game in Austin. Publicly challenge Oklahoma to a rematch in Norman. Don't play Miami of Ohio, or UC-Davis.

So I don't have much pity for Boise State. At least TCU is in a good conference, and they went all the way to Clemson, SC and Charlottesville, VA to play.

TCU's Patterson Coach Of The Year

"TCU's Gary Patterson was voted The Associated Press College Football Coach of the Year for leading the Horned Frogs to a perfect regular season and their first BCS appearance (ESPN)."

They had a hell of a year it is too bad that they don't get a chance for a National Championship, because the NCAA is a bunch of fagots, and won't have a playoff like every other sport. Then to make it worse, we can't even see if they are for real, because they put them in a bowl game against Boise St.

That's your Merry Fucking Christmas from the NCAA.

Obviously TCU beat BYU

BYU is a bunch of Mormons, shouldn't be ranked number 9 in the country in the first place, I don't take them seriously.

College Football Picks

For all of you following my college football picks I am sorry. And if you possibly have been gambling on my picks I buried you. But this week will be my resurrection and improve my 7-7 record.

The game of the weekend is (8) Alabama vs (3) Georgia

I like Georgia and I like Knowshon Moreno a lot, but I like Alabama better. Georgia has an inexperienced offensive line and I believe Nick Saban will be able to take full advantage of it and get to Matt Stafford. Alabama's strength is their offensive line and that has led to a pleasant surprise of Bama runningback Glen Coffee. Bama also has the best wide receiver in the country in true freshman Julio Jones. Georgia can go with the black out/ white out/ red out that is not going to matter on Saturday night, Bama has this game.

Bama 21-17

The second game is (2) Oklahoma vs (24) TCU

I am going to take Oklahoma in this game. Oklahoma has a 24 game home winning streak and has a chance to be the number 1 team in the nation. TCU has a good offensive line, Oklahoma's is better. TCU has Andy Dalton throwing the ball, but Oklahoma's Sam Bradford is better. TCU would have to play flawless to have a chance to upend Oklahoma, and I just don't see that happening.

Oklahoma 35-13

(12) Penn State vs (22) Illinois

This was a really tough decision for me because I do like Juice Williams, but the ultimate decision came down to me always rooting for JoePa. The Lions offense has been out of control and that has led to the biggest scoring differential of 42.8 points. Their defense is outstanding and that leads to a long game for the Fighting Illini.

Penn State 45 to 21

And the non top 25 game

Viginia Tech vs Nebraska

Expect a huge game from Tyrod Tyler, even though he has a hurt ankle. Nebraska is 3-0 but they have played no one so far. Tech's defense is amazing.

V-tech 35-17
