Trade Your Bible For Porn

There are certain news stories that just leave me speechless. This happens to be one of them...

A Texas college campus is locked in a fierce debate after a group of students launched the "smut for smut" campaign, trading bibles and other religious texts for porn, MyFoxSanAntonio.com reported. Atheist students at the University of Texas at San Antonio announced that any student over the age of 18 will receive pornographic materials if they trade in religious materials, according to MyFoxSanAntonio.com. Leaders of this atheist campaign allege that porn is no worse than what's written in religious texts.

Yea...I feel like I shouldn't touch this story, but I am. Sorry baby Jesus.

I actually don't like this, and I am not religious in the least. The reason I am against this is just because there is no reason for these people to be doing this other then to get a bunch of Bible waving weirdos pissed off. Like I said, I am not religious, but I do think people can believe in whatever the hell they want, and this is just a sad attempt to alienate a whole group of people. It also really gives a bad name to Atheists, with the whole promoting porn thing (who do they think they are...us?).

So, do I think it's funny? Yes, and I would love to see these rednecks get their panties in a twist over this, but still it is unnecessary.

37 Bama, 21 Texas

Mark Ingram will not be in the long list of Heisman winners to take the L on the National Championship. Bama got the win and deserved the National Championship, unfortunately this game will always have the what if question surrounding it, as Colt McCoy got injured with some sort of shoulder injury and didn't come back into the game.

Replacing McCoy was 18 year old freshman Gareett Golbert. Gilbert had a game to forget as he started the game going 1-8 for -4 yards. But he started to right the ship at the end of the game and brought it to three points in the third at 24-21. Unfortunately, on the next drive he got hit ridiculously hard by a blindside hit as Eryk Anders forced a fumble, then recovered by Bama. Mark Ingram scampered in endzone for his 2nd touchdown, he also had 116 yards and the MVP of the game. Texas couldn't recover, and Bama just killed the clock and got their first Championship since 1992.

Mom Gets 99 Years for Cutting Off Son's Genitals

"A Houston-area mother convicted of mutilating her infant by cutting off his genitals two years ago was sentenced Monday to 99 years in prison (FoxNews)."

I know little kids can be annoying, but Jesus....take it easy. This kid's life is fucked....only in Texas would something like this happen.

Great Day For Texas

Well we have already had a post about a cop tasering a 72 year old woman. If that wasn't enough...

Attorneys and advocates are questioning why an 18-year-old East Texan with profound mental disabilities was sentenced to 100 years in prison in a child sex abuse case.

They say the case of Aaron Hart was mishandled from start to finish and raises questions over how to deal with the mentally disabled when they encounter the criminal justice system.

After a neighbor found Hart fondling her 6-year-old stepson in September, the East Texas teenager pleaded guilty to five counts, The Dallas Morning News reported Wednesday. Hart has an IQ of 47 and was diagnosed as mentally disabled as a child. He never learned to read or write and speaks unsteadily. Despite being a target of bullies, he was courteous, well-behaved and earned money by doing chores for neighbors, supporters said. His parents say he'd never acted out sexually. "He couldn't understand the seriousness of what he did," said his father, Robert Hart. "I never dreamed they would think about sending him to prison. When they said 100 years — it was terror, pure terror, to me (FoxNews)."

Fucked up. Not saying he doesn't deserve to be punshied, but does throwing this guy in jail really do anything. I don't think he even knows what he did. Once again....Only in Texas.

Don't Feed Your Kids Poop

"A woman in Texas has been accused of repeatedly smearing human waste on her 3-year-old daughter's intravenous feeding line, potentially causing life-threatening infections. Emily Beth McDonald, 23, of Austin, was charged with felony injury to a child. She faces up to life in prison if convicted. According to an arrest affidavit, a surveillance video at Dell Children's Medical Center captured McDonald on Sunday placing feces from a soiled diaper on the cap of a tube with a direct link to her child's bloodstream. According to the affidavit, police interviewed McDonald, who allegedly confessed and said she knew that her actions could make the child severely ill and possibly even kill her. No motive was disclosed (FoxNews)."

What the fuck is wrong with people? I really can't believe this didn't kill the kid right away. Anyways, I don't have a lot to say about this other then it is really fucked up, and this would only happen in Texas...

Frustrated About The BCS

This is probably the most frustrating season in college football ever. A lot of teams are deserving of being the number 1 or number 2 team. However, the stupid BCS is probably going to pick Oklahoma and Florida into the championship game. Not that I don't think these two teams are deserving there are just a lot of teams who deserve a championship game bid as well.

First team that has a legit gripe:
Texas: They must be like what the fuck. They beat Oklahoma when they were the number 1 team in the country. Their only loss comes to Texas Tech(who won the game on a last second TD pass). They not only should have played Mizzou in the Big 12 Championship game, they should be in the championship game.

USC: Their argument should be, "How come our loss to Oregon State in September, is more important than Oklahoma's loss in October?" After their early loss to Oregon State, they did everything they can to get back into the championship. They haven't loss since September, so why aren't they in championship talk?

Alabama: Their argument is, "Even though we lost to Florida, they were ranked number 4 in the country. When they lost to Ole Miss they weren't even ranked, so shouldn't we only be knocked down to 2?" Even though I do believe Florida beat them and will skip them in the BCS ranking, their loss shouldn't affect them that much. Florida lost to an unranked Ole Miss, while Bama lost to the number 4 team.

College Football Picks

Last week this man right here finally did something correct with college football picks going 4-0 last week and now is 11 and 7 on the season.

O.K. Getting started, (5) Texas vs Colorado

I really wanted to pick Colorado, I really did. I think this game has upset wrote all over it. Texas has put up huge numbers offensively with help from Colt McCoy and runningbacks Vondrell McGee and Cody Johnson have stepped in for Jamaal Charles perfectly. However, Cody Hawkins and Colorado's defense are nothing to scoff at. If Colorado can pass protect for Hawkins then it will be a long day for the inexperienced Texas secondary.

Texas 28-21

(9) USC vs (23) Oregon

USC is going to be pissed for a couple reasons, 1. USC is coming off a loss 2. Oregon beat them last year. I expect USC to absolutely demolish the Ducks and big. USC has a veteran defense and going against an inexperienced QB Jeremiah Masoli means a big day for USC.

USC 41-17

(14) Ohio State vs (18) Wisconsin

Terrelle Pryor is the best player on the field and that is saying a lot figuring he is a freshman and sharing the field with Beanie Wells. I think that those two will be able to tear apart the Wisconsin defense and Pryor will have at least 75 yards rushing. PJ Hill is the only hope for Wisconsin and I don't see him being able to run well.

Ohio State 28-14

(13) Auburn vs (19)Vanderbilt

I'm sorry Vandy, you don't have a chance and your magic ride is over. I have obviously bashed Auburn all year and their lack of offense, but I think they will have enough offense this game. Auburn's defense will be able to slow Vanderbilt's amazing rushing attack and that will be all they need to do. If Auburn QB Chris Todd can have any what of a good game Auburn should take this easily.

Auburn 35- 28

Other games to keep a close eye on:
(7) Texas Tech vs Kansas State

I smell upset. Josh Freeman will push his team and his game to another level and make a serious push for the Heisman.

K-State 45-42
