Tony Allen Injured

"What started as a routine day of practice for Tony Allen evolved as yet another setback for the oft-injured Celtics [team stats] guard. Allen injured the thumb on his left (non-shooting) hand yesterday morning, and as a result did not accompany the team to New Orleans for tonight’s game against the Hornets. He also won’t play tomorrow night in Dallas. Though X-rays of the thumb reportedly were negative, a team source said the guard actually suffered torn ligaments in the thumb and could miss a longer period of time (Boston Globe)."

I really hate Tony Allen, he has teased us for years with his ability, but has never put it together. Listen, he never will. Allen is a waste of space, and I wish the Celtics had a better alternative, but they really don't. So, as much as I hate to say it, defensivly this could hurt the Celtics a little bit. In the long run it is better if they finally get it through their heads that Tony Allen is a waste of space, and deal him as soon as they can find a replacment. My hope is now Doc will let some of these younger guys play more (Pruitt, ect) and see if they can give the Celtics anything more than this shithead does.
